HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician

It was afternoon at Hogwarts, and the young wizards were all in their classrooms having lessons.

As Teach Carr's disciple, Hermione no longer needed to attend special classes and had no idea what classes Harry and Ron were taking, so she could only follow the footprints on the Marauder's Map to find out.

Suddenly, as Hermione passed by the moving staircase, she was drawn to a strikingly conspicuous claw mark.

Those were three claw marks that had torn a painting apart, and that painting was the Gryffindor gate painting, 'The Fat Lady'.

Upon seeing this, Hermione instantly realized something: [Sirius Black has entered Hogwarts.]

He wanted to enter the Gryffindor dormitory to find his enemy Pettigrew, or perhaps Harry? But he was blocked by the fat lady in the portrait, so in a fit of rage, he tried to destroy the portrait and force his way in.

Hermione used her immense strength magic to remove the frame from the painting without the Fat Lady, then touched the wall behind the painting and the door: [There were no signs of violent destruction, nor any signs of being forcibly opened with magic. Sirius failed.]

After making her judgment, Hermione turned around and looked at the Marauder's Map to find Sirius's footprints.

You wouldn't believe it until you look, and when you do, you're shocked to see the footprints right next to Hermione.

Just as Hermione put down the map in fright and looked around, a black dog that hadn't had a bath in years suddenly pounced from the corner of the stairs.

The target was Hermione's wizard robes, or more precisely, the wand inside them.

The black dog pounced on Hermione before she could react, then opened its mouth, which hadn't been brushed in over a decade, and bit at Hermione's clothes, before dragging her away.

Hermione had already identified the black dog as Sirius Black using the Marauder's Map, so she was no longer worried about being harmed.

So Hermione's current concern is whether the black dog is carrying any rabies virus.

After it's all over, does she need to go back to the real world to get a vaccine?

While magic can heal injuries and wounds, can it cure viruses that infect wounds? Hermione really didn't know the answer to that question.

Thinking of this, Hermione was worried that the black dog might accidentally bite her skin.

Hermione then kicked the black dog away with tremendous force, and then used Blink to instantly appear behind the black dog before he could even get up, grabbing Sirius Fate by the back of the neck.

With the back of his neck grabbed, Sirius Black instantly lost all resistance, offering no struggle whatsoever.

Hermione looked at Sirius, who was lying in her hand like a dead dog, and shook it with a smile on her face, finding it very amusing.

But Hermione's laughter didn't last long. The black dog transformed, turning back into Sirius Black in less than a second.

After Black regained his adult body, he was a head taller than Hermione.

Hermione looked at Black's fierce eyes without flinching, and instead covered her mouth and nose in utter disgust, saying, "Mr. Black, how many years has it been since you last took a bath?"

"In the British wizarding world, you're supposed to be a wizarding nobleman. Didn't you even think about taking a bath before you escaped Azkaban?"

"Are you really going to see Harry looking like this?"

Hermione's words surprised Sirius, causing him to abandon his plan to steal Hermione's wand.

Not only that, after Hermione finished speaking, she took out her wand and drew water molecules from the air, gathering them into a stream of water.

With its clear spring water, thorough cleaning, and strict disinfection procedures, Blake became clean again.

Just as Black was wondering what to say, Hermione continued her actions, pulling a piece of white paper from her pocket. She then used her matter-conversion technique to draw a picture, and instantly a men's black suit appeared.

After tossing the suit to Black, whose eyes were wide with surprise, Hermione waved her hand and said, "Put it on. I'll give you a bath and this outfit as a thank you for not biting me with your dog mouth."

Upon hearing this, Blake felt extremely embarrassed, and half of his face twitched uncontrollably.

Looking at the precocious Hermione, the refreshed Black had a million complaints in his mind, but he didn't know how to express them. After thinking for a while, he still extended his hand to Hermione in a friendly manner and said, "Brave lady, may I have your wand?"

"I will pay it back; I will return it to you when I'm done using it."

Hermione twirled her wand in response, teasingly asking, "What does Mr. Black intend to do with his wand? Kill Harry Potter?"

"Oh my, Harry is your godson, so are all those rumors about you, Mr. Black, true?"

Seeing that he couldn't win the verbal battle with Hermione, Black withdrew his hand without a word and prepared to turn back into a black dog and leave.

Just as Black was leaving, Hermione tossed her wand, saying, "Look at you, so pitiful, I'll take pity on you and give it to you."

"But remember this, after you're done using it, you must wash it clean, absolutely clean."

"Oh, right, if you want to see Harry, you'd better wait in Hogsmeade. Harry now considers you his mortal enemy, so I think you two need to spend some time alone."

Hermione gave Black the wand, but not the Marauder's Map.

Hermione had her own ideas about Peter Pettigrew, which was 'biomagic'.

Biological magic and Hermione's 'life-related' analysis transmutation array are a perfect match. Hermione wants to use her research on biological magic to further improve and enhance her analysis transmutation array.

Teach taught this magic trick to Hermione at the beginning of the third year, so this little Animagus was a good experimental subject.

When Hermione found Ron, who had already finished class, she couldn't find any trace of his pet mouse, Scabbers.

Hermione then examined the Marauder's Map and strangely discovered that Pettigrew's footprints had also disappeared: [Did Pettigrew know Black had entered Hogwarts, so he ran away?]

[In such a short time!]

Hermione bit her pink lips in frustration, regretting that she hadn't kept up with the Marauder's Map along the way.

But since things had come to this point, Hermione had no choice but to give up for the time being.

Hermione then called out to Harry, who was lost in his gloom, wanting to have a heart-to-heart talk with him.

On the deserted garden corridor.

“Harry, my teacher Teach taught me that you can’t judge anything by hearsay or appearances. Do you really think your godfather, whom you’ve never met, is the one who killed your parents?”

Harry, already consumed by hatred, instinctively flew into a rage upon hearing Hermione mention it, and he roared, "Isn't that right?"

"My parents trusted him so much, and he betrayed them."

"If it weren't for him, I would have a happy and fulfilling family; if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have become an orphan; if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have been living with my mean-spirited uncle..."

"Hermione, do you know what kind of life I lived during those 11 years at my uncle's house?"

“I had to endure my cousin Dudley’s bullying almost every day, my uncle and aunt would assign me endless chores, and they would mock me as an orphan.”

"I have never worn a new piece of clothing, and I have never celebrated my birthday in 11 years."

"Everything I am now is his fault."

As he spoke, Harry burst into tears amidst his angry roar.

Hermione didn't look at Harry's crying, but instead frowned and asked, "Harry, are you... the Harry I know?"
