"what is that?"

Dark clouds, like the shadow of a giant beast, gathered from all directions of the sky, blocking out all light and shrouding the entire forest in gloom. The once dappled shadows of the trees became blurred, leaving only a dark mass. The wind began to howl through the forest, rustling the leaves as if foreshadowing an impending storm.

The magic in the environment began to become chaotic and volatile, reminding him of his own "I am atomic".

Gray Avenue was in trouble, so he quickened his pace and rushed toward the source of the chaotic magic.

The brave team, observing the changes in the sky, grew anxious and searched even more diligently for church members.

Who orchestrated this? The Demon Cult, or that Demon King?

All of these explanations seem plausible, but Philippa can't care about any of that right now.

Now, whether she confronts the Demon Cult or the Demon King directly, she is doomed. She can only hope that the people of the Holy Light Church will arrive in time to save her.

At the portal outside the secret realm.

Before the portal, all the major powers of the Olmec Kingdom had gathered, and all the important figures were present.

Not only priests and knights of the Holy Light Church, but also teachers or higher-ranking mages of the Astraea Magic Academy, the city guards of Taralos, and the most elite troops of the Olmec Kingdom—the Griffin Knights—were all crowding in front of the portal, waiting for it to be repaired so they could immediately enter the secret realm and launch a rescue operation.

"Is it still not fixed!?"

Reginald paced anxiously in circles. His beloved daughter was still in the secret realm, her fate unknown, and all he could do was stand there waiting for the portal to be repaired, which he didn't know when.

Reginald's mindset represents the thoughts of most nobles. Their offspring also participated in the Holy Light Pilgrimage, and they are all outstanding successors of their families, or at the very least, quite talented young members of the family.

If anything were to happen to these people, it would be a heavy blow to the younger generation and the future of the Olmec Kingdom, and might even lead to the decline of the Olmec Kingdom.

This was a scene the nobles did not want to see. They had offended all the major races, and the demons, their sworn enemies, were also lurking somewhere, making them extremely uneasy.

It's back; history seems to be repeating itself.

Humanity prospers, demons decline.

When demons rise, humanity declines!

In front of the portal, the top mages of the Olmec Kingdom were adjusting the portal's parameters, each one anxiously sweating profusely.

That makes sense. With so many important figures watching them closely, and the future of the kingdom entrusted to them, it's impossible not to be nervous.

One of the elderly men moved quickly, but his face showed no signs of the pressure that comes with being the center of attention.

If Gray were here, he would definitely recognize that this old man was the same sleeping old man he had seen at the academy gate.

The old man's name was Alerik Stormred, the headmaster of the Astrea Magic Academy and the chief magician of the Olmec Kingdom.

He raised his staff high, the staff in which was inlaid with a magic crystal from a high-level demon.

Magic emanated from the magic crystal on the staff, and a silvery-white magical light surrounded the portal.

Before long, the silvery-white light disappeared, and the portal returned to its original radiance.

Alec braced himself against his staff, looking slightly weary, and said, "Alright."

He then stepped into the portal and disappeared.

From the moment Alelik stepped into the portal, everyone present rushed to enter. Those who entered earlier saw the dark clouds covering the sky above the secret realm and the dazed Alelik.

Such a strange change could not have been caused by anything ordinary.

He could sense that the power hidden in the dark clouds was probably beyond the ninth rank, beyond the peak that humans could reach.

How is this possible? How could a tenth-tier creature appear within the secret realm?!

As the rescuers entered the secret area, the first thing they saw when they looked up was such a shocking scene that they all stared wide-eyed, too stunned to utter a single word.

Ignoring his subordinates' advice, the Kingdom's Prime Minister, Cassie Valestrid, forced his way through the portal into the secret realm to explore, and thus witnessed this very scene.

How could this be? Isn't this something that can only be triggered by a summoning incantation? Why is it happening during a Holy Light Pilgrimage!

He suddenly thought of something, looked up at the chaotic sky, and gritted his teeth.

"Those lunatics!"

In the sky, dark clouds gathered, and thunder roared, as if the forces of nature were preparing for an impending unknown threat. The dark clouds churned like boiling ink, ready to unleash the terrifying force hidden within. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning ripped across the sky, illuminating a gigantic figure within the clouds.

It was an extremely strange creature, one could even say incredibly ugly in appearance, yet it exuded an overwhelming aura of oppression.

Its head is that of an owl, and its eyes are like two bottomless wells, shimmering with a ghostly blue light, as if it can see through everything in the world, and you can also vaguely see a hint of madness.

It descended slowly from the dark clouds, its presence making the surrounding air feel oppressive and heavy. Its feathers, set against the backdrop of the clouds, appeared even deeper, as if they could absorb all the light.

Then, its bat wings gradually unfolded, their enormous wings appearing and disappearing in the clouds. Each flap seemed to draw life from the surroundings, making the darkness even more intense. The shadows of the bat wings, illuminated by lightning, were cast on the ground like a giant net of death, mocking the ignorant world.

As its form became clearer, the griffin's claws came into view. Those sharp claws gripped a dark cloud tightly, as if they could tear the entire sky apart.

Finally, the crow's body was fully revealed, its feathers appearing exceptionally smooth against the dark clouds, as if woven from the night itself. Its massive form moved through the clouds like a black dragon, its tail tracing unsettling paths through the air as it moved.

It has the head of an owl, wings of a bat, body of a raven, claws of a griffin, and tail of a dragon.

It wasn't just the terrifying aura emanating from the creature that paralyzed people; its strange and horrifying appearance was what instilled fear in them.

“An aura far exceeding the ninth rank, this appearance…” Alerilik suddenly realized: “This is a demon! All of this was orchestrated by the Demon Cult!”

Now that we know who the mastermind is, what good is it?

In the distance, Gray floated in the air, his figure shrouded in black robes and shadows, staring intently at the suddenly appearing demon, his tone filled with apprehension.

"Turtel, the demon of knowledge and truth!"
