Your Highness, please stop chasing me.

Chapter 96 The Eldest Young Master Is Unworthy

Mu Jiaojiao glanced at Zhu Zhiyue, her eyes full of mockery.

From the day Mu Jiaojiao learned of Zhu Zhiyue's existence, she inexplicably disliked her, even more than she disliked Mu Xue.

She walked past Zhu Zhiyue to the door and said arrogantly to the guards, "Open the door, I want to go in and see my elder brother."

"The general said that no one is allowed to go in and disturb us," the guard said, still expressionless.

"Open your dog eyes and see clearly, I am the sixth young lady of the Mu family. How dare you stop me?" Mu Jiaojiao's temper flared up instantly.

"No matter who it is, no one can enter without the General's orders." The guards didn't take Mu Jiaojiao seriously at all.

They were all warriors who had fought on the battlefield, how could they be afraid of a mere young lady from the Mu family!

Just as Mu Jiaojiao was about to say something more, Aunt An interrupted her.

She walked forward slowly and said gently, "Please don't be offended, young master. Miss Liu was just worried about the young master's safety and was a little anxious. She didn't speak properly, so please don't take it to heart. Please inform him that we will be waiting in the courtyard."

Another guard had once sent a letter back to the Mu residence, so he recognized Aunt An.

He said, "You all wait at the door, I'll go in and announce your arrival."

"Okay, thank you very much, young man." Aunt An nodded in thanks.

Just as the guard was about to turn around, he saw the steward, Mu An, come out.

Mu An had already heard the noise at the door, so he came over to check.

Mu An had always been by Mu Qinghe's side, and even Aunt An had to treat him with some respect.

Upon seeing that it was Mu An, Aunt An politely bowed slightly and said, "I just heard that the ancient physician has been found and is currently treating the eldest young master. My sixth young lady and I were worried about the eldest young master, so we thought we'd come and see."

Mu An subtly dodged Aunt An's curtsy and said calmly, "The ancient physician dislikes being disturbed, which is why the general has people guarding the gate. Aunt An, please leave."

Mu Jiaojiao was unhappy. She had finally persuaded her mother to come to Red Maple Courtyard, but she had to go back before even seeing the ancient doctor. How could she be willing to accept that?

She said, "Butler Mu, my father is inside. If you go and inform him, maybe he'll let my mother and me in."

Mu An glanced at Mu Jiaojiao and said in a cold tone, "Sixth Miss, you have the wrong title. Your mother is Madam. I will not inform the master this time. Sixth Miss, please remember this."

One sentence caused Aunt An and Mu Jiaojiao's expressions to change simultaneously.

In this Mu family mansion, Mu Jiaojiao had called Aunt An "Mother" for eight years, but now she was actually humiliated by an old steward who had just returned to the Mu family mansion.

Just as Mu Jiaojiao was about to step forward to argue, Aunt An grabbed her arm tightly.

Aunt An bowed and said, "Yes, the steward is right. It's all my fault for not teaching Sixth Miss well. I will definitely teach her properly when we get back." Her tone was incredibly gentle and pitiful, but who was Mu An? Why would she care about her little tricks?

He said in his still icy tone, "Since Aunt An and Miss Liu are alright, please go back. Just stay in your own courtyard and wait for news."

Aunt An and Mu Jiaojiao could only reluctantly return to their own courtyard.

Zhu Zhiyue, who was standing nearby, watched the joke unfold and suddenly felt relieved.

Seeing that the An family had walked away, she called out to Mu An, who was about to turn around and go inside, "Uncle Steward, may I go in and stay with Brother Mu?"

Mu An's eyes flickered slightly, and he said, "Miss Zhu, you should also go back to your room and wait. No one can disobey the General's orders."

“I’ve been taking care of Brother Mu all this time. If you have any questions, Doctor Gu, I can answer them,” Zhu Zhiyue said hurriedly as Mu An was about to leave.

"This," Mu An hesitated for a moment. They were all grown men, rough and unrefined, and sometimes they really didn't have the same thoughtfulness as girls.

He said, "Then wait a moment, I'll go in and report to the general, and he'll make the decision."

Zhu Zhiyue secretly breathed a sigh of relief; things were looking promising.

“Thank you, Uncle Butler,” she said.

Mu An walked up to Mu Qinghe, interrupting his thoughts.

Mu Qinghe opened his mouth and asked first, "What is it?"

“Miss Zhu is waiting outside the door; she wants to come in,” Mu An said.

"Didn't the ancient physician say that no one is allowed to come in and disturb us?" Mu Qinghe said unhappily.

Mu An quickly said, "Miss Zhu has been taking care of the eldest young master all along. If the ancient doctor has any questions that need to be answered, she is a young lady who is more meticulous than us men. Perhaps she can make some special discoveries?"

Mu An's words sparked a flash of inspiration in Mu Qinghe's mind, but it was fleeting, and he hadn't had a chance to grasp it.

He frowned, trying to remember something, but to no avail.

He said, "Then let her in. She should stay in the yard and not come near the door."

"Yes, I will definitely see her and prevent her from running around." Mu An left the pavilion.

Mu Xue was unaware of everything happening outside; her entire focus was on Mu Feng.

"Take off his shirt and straighten his body," Mu Xue said coldly.

Changsheng was stunned for a moment, then quickly replied, "Yes."

He stepped forward to help Mu Feng up, stripping him naked. Mu Xue turned around and saw the scene before her, so she quickly turned away.

She snapped angrily, "His upper body, his upper body! Why did you take it all off for him?"

Chang Sheng realized he had misunderstood, scratched his head sheepishly, covered Mu Feng's lower body with the blanket again, and said, "Master Gu is all better now."

Mu Xue glanced back before turning and walking to the bedside.

She opened the scroll, inside which were neatly arranged rows of gold and silver needles.

She picked up a silver needle and swiftly and accurately plunged it into Mu Feng's chest without the slightest hesitation.

The speed at which the needles were inserted was terrifying to Changsheng.

Mu Xue was focused on giving Mu Feng acupuncture. After a series of smooth and flowing acupuncture techniques, many beads of sweat appeared on Mu Xue's forehead, but she had no time to care.

Changsheng watched in stunned silence, his mouth agape from the moment Muxue began administering the acupuncture.

Mu Xue's fingers were very beautiful, fair and slender.

When administering acupuncture, her hands move so fast and skillfully that it's dazzling to watch.

Before Changsheng could even get a clear look, Mu Xue's needles had already pierced all over Mu Feng's chest.

Mu Xue's indifferent voice rang out: "Wipe your sweat."

After waiting a while and seeing that Changsheng hadn't moved, Muxue said again, "Wipe your sweat."

This time, his tone was a bit harsher, and Changsheng immediately snapped out of his daze. He quickly picked up the handkerchief that Muxue had prepared earlier, stepped forward, and wiped the sweat from Muxue's forehead.

Mu Xue was busy from morning until noon before she finally removed the silver needles.

Changsheng noticed that the scroll contained not only silver needles but also gold needles. He suddenly wondered if the eldest son was not worthy of using gold needles.
