Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 51 Was she bullied?

The taxi sped along the main road and soon it was far from the city center.

A thousand-dollar tip in exchange for a risky trip—the driver didn't hesitate. He took the girl, who was crying her eyes out after being abused by her husband, and headed towards the intersection with the laxest checkpoints, where a small tip would get them through.

Yao Gongyue used her broken English to tell her master about her "tragic experience" in order to gain his sympathy, as he also had a daughter, and successfully reached the checkpoint.

The driver calmly slipped a US dollar bill under his cigarette pack and passed through smoothly.

"Wow, what good luck I have to meet such a kind person like you, Uncle! May God bless you to make a fortune!" Seeing the traffic policeman left behind, Yao Gongyue's eyes lit up, and she wished she could praise the driver as the reincarnation of Buddha.

The master, who was over fifty years old, smiled broadly, clearly pleased with the young girl's compliments.

Suddenly, the sound of brakes pierced her eardrums, and Yao Gongyue's body was thrown forward by the huge inertia, only to be bounced back to her seat.

The genuine, surging blood was choked so tightly it almost suffocated, and tears streamed down its face.

"What's wrong?" she asked, frowning and pressing her chest, taking a deep breath.

"Soldiers, so many soldiers!" The driver never expected that there would be military vehicles blocking the road in the middle of the night, and he was so frightened that his lips trembled.

Yao Gongyue looked up and saw a large group of armed soldiers blocking the road.

"Open the door, get out, routine check!" one of the soldiers shouted fiercely, knocking on the window.

The driver trembled with fear. "Girl, get out of the car! Soldiers aren't as easy to fool as traffic police!"

After the two got out of the car, they were led to the roadside. The leading officer came over and said to Yao Gongyue, "Take off your mask!"

Even now, despite her pounding heart, she still held onto a sliver of hope that it was just a coincidence, and reluctantly pulled the black mask down to her chin.

After reading it, the man remained calm, simply saying "Wait" before leaving.

A few minutes later, two tall men rushed over from not far away.

"Hey! Ah Jin, you're amazing." It was Hong Jie who spoke. He thought his cousin had gone crazy, calling him in the middle of the night to keep him company in the cold wind in the wilderness. He didn't expect that he would actually catch the little vixen.

The moment Yao Gongyue saw Hong Jin, her heart sank. The man's eyes were bloodshot, as if he had come from hell. His black pupils were surging with murderous intent and raging with anger. His gaze seemed to want to devour her alive.

Almost instinctively, even the pain in her feet disappeared. She got up, turned around and ran, but before she could take two steps, the man grabbed her by the back of the neck and dragged her back.

Seeing that things were going badly, she decided to cry first. She squatted down and burst into tears.

“Hong Jin, you dog of a man, do you even want a human being to live? You won’t even let a person breathe? You bastard, you bully, you are the worst scoundrel in the world…”

Hong Jin's lips twitched, he lit a cigarette, and stood quietly to the side listening to her wail.

Hong Jie's temples throbbed. This girl was too damn pretentious. Only a little vixen in the world would dare to curse the Crown Prince in front of so many people.

"Why aren't you comforting me..." She couldn't cry anymore, so she snorted and looked up at the man calmly smoking.

Hong Jin raised his eyelids, tossed away his cigarette butt, exuding a sharp aura, yet his every move still retained the gentle and refined air of a young master. He straightened his trousers and squatted down in front of her.

"Have you cried enough?" The man's calm voice revealed neither joy nor anger. Yao Gongyue was stunned, unable to predict his emotions. She sniffled and nodded timidly, "Mmm!"

"Then—say it again!" His dark eyes were gloomy as he stared at the little drama queen in front of him, whose eyes were red from crying and whose cheeks were flushed.

"Oppa! Hug me!" She slowly raised her slender arms and tentatively placed them on the man's broad shoulders.

"Pfft!" Hong Jie couldn't help but burst out laughing. He hadn't expected this scene at all. The little thing's cowardly appearance was really funny. No wonder A Jin was in so much pain, like it was his lifeline. If this were his wife, he would be willing to protect her with his life.

"Good boy!" Hong Jin said with a forced smile, pulling the person into his arms and walking towards the black SUV not far away.

"Hong Jie!" Yao Gongyue popped her head out of the man's arms. "Pay the driver, one thousand US dollars!"

"Ah Jin, take her to get her head checked. Is she mentally impaired?" Hong Jie shouted irritably at his cousin's retreating figure, who was blinded by lust.

The car remained silent the entire way, Yao Gongyue feeling uneasy. Even after entering the manor, she still dared not look the man in the eye.

Once inside the bedroom, Hong Jin carried the person straight into the bathroom, saying, "Take a shower first!" Then, with a cold face, he left the room.

There was a faint smell of smoke on the top of her hair, the smell of another man. He had held back all the way, his teeth almost grinding to powder, because it wasn't the right time yet. As for that man…

Take out your phone and make a call.

"Hello, Your Highness, I've just arrived at the military camp!" With dawn approaching, and after a whole night of commotion without even a sip of water, Hong Jin's call came in again. Hong Jie had no words to express his suffering.

"Go find out who Yueyue was with today. Don't notify me when you find out, just find an excuse to kill her!" The cousin's sharp voice was like that of a demon from hell.

"What happened?" Hong Jie immediately perked up, his voice tinged with anxiety. "Was she bullied?"

"Hmph!" Hong Jin snorted coldly. "If she had really been bullied, this call would have already reached Heilong. My order wouldn't be to kill him, but to chop up his entire family!"

Hearing this, Hong Jie finally relaxed and said, "I understand!"

After hanging up the phone, the man stood in front of the huge floor-to-ceiling window, with the starry night stretching out in the distance, the deep blue sky, and the tranquil mountains and forests, but nothing could soothe the restlessness in his chest.

Yuebao, how dare you let other men get close to you!

After taking a shower, Yao Gongyue's eyes were moist like a startled deer as she carefully observed the expression on the man's face. "Oppa, my feet hurt," she whispered, testing the man's reaction.

"How come you didn't die of pain!" Hong Jin gritted his teeth, threw away his cigarette butt, strode over, and carried the pretentious woman to the bed.

"Tsk tsk tsk, what a cruel heart!" She sniffed and poked the man's chest with her slender white finger.

Unbeknownst to her, her words directly touched a nerve the man couldn't tolerate; his wolfish eyes immediately turned cold, his gaze darkening as he stared at the delicate young woman before him.

"Me, heartless? Even if I were heartless, could I be more heartless than you? You dared to jump out of a window on the 20th floor without any safety measures?" His eyes burned with intense rage, the accumulated anger almost bursting from his skull.

"Yao Gongyue, do you know that people can die if they fall from there, huh?"

If you die, how am I supposed to live?

Enraged, the man's handsome eyes bloodshot, he grabbed her slender, fair wrist with his large hand. "Why? Yuebao, why did you run away?"

In the man's eyes, there was a kind of obsessive madness she had never seen before. Yao Gongyue felt afraid and unconsciously took a step back, her lips trembling. "Well, um, if two people are truly in love, why should they be together every day? Distance makes the heart grow fonder. If two people are always together, they will get tired of each other. I, I just wanted to... find some distance, to have some excitement..."

She didn't even know what she was saying; all she knew was that she couldn't confront him directly, otherwise he would definitely not let her off the hook.
