Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 31 You're not going to kill him, are you?

Hong Jin pursed his lips, lit a cigarette, his dark eyes as deep as a cold pool, and quietly watched the little drama queen perform in front of him without saying a word, his thoughts unknown.

Perhaps he was thinking about their first date. She was wearing a white cross-collar Chinese-style shirt, paired with a bright red short skirt, and her hair was tied in two buns. She looked cute and charming, but too young. He was six years older than her, wearing a suit, looking mature and dignified. When he wasn't smiling, he was serious and cautious, which didn't match her bright and beautiful appearance at all.

The little girl loves beauty and insisted that he accompany her to the mall to get her nails done. It was his first time going to such a place, so he sat on the sofa with his tablet, working on documents while waiting for her.

The technician looked at her and smiled, "Your brother must be much older than you, otherwise he wouldn't dote on his sister like this!"

Like a cunning little fox, she said, "Sister, that's someone else's sweetheart, he spoils me rotten!"

The man, usually as composed as a mountain, awkwardly rubbed his forehead when a girl introduced him like this for the first time. But the girl didn't seem to mind at all. She waved at him and smiled as brightly as the sun, "Oppa, right!"

At that time, I wasn't quite used to her quirky personality. After we left, I told her to be more low-key and reserved in public. The little girl pouted and looked unwilling, "Then you should date a low-key and reserved girl. I might not be right for you. I want to be chosen firmly and recognized generously!"

After saying that, she swayed her waist and stormed off. He had postponed his meetings for several days to go and coax her, trying every possible way and swallowing his pride to finally appease her.

He's always been the one being flattered, but for the first time, someone has been doing all this to him, leaving him exhausted and reckless, yet he finds it all quite enjoyable.

Growing increasingly agitated, he raised his arm again, the cigarette just touching his lips when the girl's fair, delicate hand reached out, took the cigarette, tossed it into the ashtray on the coffee table, and stared at him with teary, pitiful eyes, "My feet hurt~"

After a series of twists and turns, a coquettish voice, seemingly both resentful and reproachful, lingered around the man. He gritted his teeth and pushed the person who had clung to him aside, saying, "Serves you right for being in pain!"

Yao Gongyue stretched her swollen, pig-trotter-like foot out in front of the man, "Huff, huff!"

Hong Jin's temples throbbed, his blood and qi surged, and he sat motionless.

Just then, Pudu rushed in, and the butler tried desperately to stop him, but to no avail. The two of them were stunned when they reached the door.

No one would have imagined that one day they would see a woman stretch her foot out in front of the handsome and refined young master, her fair instep almost touching the tip of his nose.

The eldest son, who was usually aloof from strangers, actually had red eyes, looked aggrieved but didn't resist, and turned his face away in a huff.

Upon seeing the two enter, Yao Gongyue withdrew her foot, but she was still furious inside.

"Little brother~" she smiled at Pudu with a seductive air.

"Call him again if you want to die!" The man panted heavily, pulled her feet into his arms, and applied an ice towel to them.

"Mind your own business!" she said arrogantly, trying to pull her foot back.

"Go to the study and wait!" Hong Jin growled at the two people at the door, then got up and carried the restless little thing upstairs.

"I don't need your help, I'm in so much pain!" Once inside the bedroom, Yao Gongyue remained restless, turning her face away and refusing to let the man touch her.

Hong Jin forcefully grabbed her delicate chin with his tiger's mouth, forcing her to face him, "Yueyue! Even when you're making a scene, you should have some restraint. You've gone too far today!"

Looking at the man's bloodshot eyes, the wisps of hair on his forehead trembling slightly from extreme restraint, and his increasingly tight knuckles, she could tell he was really angry. She swallowed hard, her arrogance subsiding considerably. It was better not to test his patience at this moment.

"I was wrong! Waaah..." She huddled into the man's arms, crying louder and louder.

Hong Jin held the girl's waist with his large hand, feeling a lump in his throat. If he tried to coax her, he was still angry; if he didn't, she definitely wouldn't give up.

"But...but..." she sobbed, "but you were so mean to me, you weren't gentle at all, you scared me to death..."

Hit it up!

This trick again.

The man frowned. "If I don't act tough, how can I discipline you? Do you think you'll shut up on your own?"

"But, but you're too mean! Fairies are meant to be coaxed, not abused like this... Waaah..."

"So you have the nerve to let another man hug you?" He suddenly tightened his grip, and Yao Gongyue felt like her waist was about to be broken.

"I'm innocent... He rushed up and hugged me without saying a word. I'm so petite, I had no power to resist..." The little vixen's voice grew softer and softer until probably only she could hear it.

Hong Jin looked down at her cowardly little face, feeling so angry that his blood ran cold. He narrowed his dark eyes, panting heavily, and remained silent.

"It's true!" Yao Gongyue could tell from his sullen silence that he didn't believe her, and she snorted, "Hmph! Are all Southeast Asian men so shameless? They just grab any girl they see and start hugging her!"

"Baby!" Hong Jin sighed heavily, "Don't you know how lethal your face is to men!"

You're so beautiful, how can I hide you away so that no one else can have their eyes on you?

"You men are all greedy and lustful!" She crossed her arms and turned her face away.

“I don’t deny it! But—” The man lifted her chin, kissed her fiercely, and continued, “Being lustful also depends on having the means! If you set your sights on the wrong thing, you’ll only bring trouble upon yourself!”

After saying that, he got up and walked towards the door.

"Hong Jin!" Yao Gongyue felt a pang of unease. She knew how strong Hong Jin's territorial instincts were and how abnormal his possessiveness was. She tentatively asked, "You wouldn't...you're going to kill him, would you?"

The man turned around, gave a cold laugh, and said, "No way! Although I'd love to do it!"

Pudu's father is the Deputy Minister of National Defense, wielding real power. His eldest sister is married to a prince of W country, and his second brother controls the lifeline of J country's telecommunications industry. They are not people who can be easily moved. Moreover, the Pu family has been loyal to the Hong family for three generations, and that kid is also extremely loyal to him. He wouldn't be so blinded by lust that he can't distinguish right from wrong.

Hearing him say that, Yao Gongyue breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that although he was crazy, he still had his sense of right and wrong. She knew he was just making excuses to punish her.

“I’ll be home late tonight, so eat your food and take your medicine obediently. If you dare to cause any more trouble, you won’t be getting out of bed for a week!”

Yao Gongyue shrank further under the covers in fright. "I know, you little devil!"

In the quiet study, the blazing sun cast warm light through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. A sinister man sat with his back to the light, his expression unreadable. Grayish-blue smoke swirled around him. Although it was midday, the people opposite him felt as if they had fallen into an ice cave.

"Young Master, it's my fault for not teaching my younger brother well. Please don't be angry. I'll definitely teach him a lesson when I get back!" Pusa wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and secretly sized up the young man sitting in the high seat.

This eldest son has always been mysterious, with unfathomable thoughts and illogical and unpredictable actions, yet he never makes a mistake. Many high-ranking officials in the cabinet are very wary of him. When he received a call from his father asking him to deal with the mess his younger brother had made, he was so angry that he almost had arrhythmia.

Fortunately, his father held a high position, so no matter how arrogant Hong Jin was, he still had to give the family some face and wouldn't really offend the entire Pu family over a small matter.

Pudu stood on the ground with his head down, not uttering a word, like a stubborn little calf.

The butler stood at the door, his heart filled with mixed feelings. His master had always been suspicious and hard to fathom, but Pudu had once saved his life, and he couldn't just stand by and watch him die.

An eerie silence fell over the study, and none of the people, each lost in their own thoughts, spoke again.
