Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 183 Stay, okay?

Ouyang Zhen lay in bed for six days, and Wu Meng completely lost his patience.

In the bedroom, Minjie was still trying to persuade her to eat, but there was still no reaction. The man sitting on the sofa, burning with desire, suddenly pulled out a pistol from his waistband and cocked it smoothly.

boom!

A gunshot echoed throughout the villa. Sister Min was so startled that she jolted, and even the person on the bed, who seemed to be exuding a deathly aura, visibly trembled.

"Zhenzhen, it seems you really don't want to live anymore. Fine, very well!" The man walked to the bedside, coldly glancing at her pale, withered face. "You heard it too, this gun is loaded. Here, take it!"

He grabbed her and pulled her up, supporting her body with his left hand while shoving the gun butt into her hand with his right, pressing it against his forehead. "Don't you hate me? Come on, shoot me, kill me, and you can leave!"

"Open it!" the man roared, making Minjie's legs go weak. "Young...Young Master, let's talk this out, don't frighten Madam!"

"I tried to reason with her, did she even listen? If that's the case, then neither of us should live anymore!"

Wu Meng's temper flared up, his eyes turned bloodshot, and looking at the half-dead girl, he felt like he was going crazy. He had never been manipulated like this in his entire life.

"Say something! Hit me, curse me, kill me, whatever, just open your eyes and say something, okay?"

Ouyang Zhen was like a withered cosmos flower on a branch, swaying helplessly in the wind, devoid of any life.

"Young Master, Young Master, please calm down!" Sister Min was terrified and quickly pulled Wu Meng away. "Please go outside and calm down. I need to talk to Madam for a bit, okay?"

"If she could listen, she would have listened already. It's no use saying anything!" The man painfully pulled her into his arms. "Zhenzhen... I was wrong... Zhenzhen, I'm really going crazy."

These past few days, even though she lay motionless, the man always felt a soft spot in his heart. Every time he went out, he longed to come back. He knew that there was such a delicate and pitiful little wife at home waiting for him to take care of her and cherish her. After so many years of fighting and struggling alone, he finally had someone to care about, and he would only sink deeper and deeper into it.

"Young Master, you're too strong. You'll hurt Madam. Please listen to my advice and go downstairs to calm down!" Sister Min spoke again, trying to persuade the man who was on the verge of madness.

Wu Meng finally let go, turning back every few steps, sighing, and then turning to leave.

The living room was already shrouded in a thin layer of bluish-white smoke, and the man was still sitting there, smoking one cigarette after another.

Finally, the door to the upstairs bedroom opened, and Sister Min came out excitedly.

"Young Master, Madam is eating now. I'll quickly tell the kitchen to prepare some food. Please go upstairs and apologize properly!"

"Really?" The annoyed man sprang up from the sofa, threw away his cigarette butt, and strode upstairs.

"Zhenzhen!" He ran to the door, but didn't dare to take another step. He looked nervously at the girl on the bed who had finally opened her eyes, his fingertips trembling. "Zhenzhen, I'm coming in!"

Ouyang Zhen lowered her beautiful eyes, remaining silent and not looking towards the door.

Her cold fingertips were held by a warm, dry hand. The man knelt by the bed, lowered his head and kissed the back of her hand, like a devout believer. "Zhenzhen, I swear, I will be good to you for the rest of my life. Let's live well together from now on. Stay here, okay?"

A tear rolled down her cheek, and the girl on the bed turned her face away.

The man reached out and picked her up, muttering to himself, "Zhenzhen, take good care of yourself and get better. Once you're better, I'll take you out for a walk to clear your head. If you don't like those things, we'll buy them again, okay?"

"Get out!" Finally, she uttered her first words in days, though her voice was barely audible, Wu Meng's body stiffened.

“Zhenzhen…”

I'm tired!

"Then you lie down, and I'll sit on the sofa with you, okay?"

She pulled her hand away and turned away gently.

The room fell into an unsettling silence once again.

Sister Min finally brought in the food: a bowl of noodles and a plate of scrambled eggs.

"Young Master, Madam hasn't eaten for so long, there are many things I dare not prepare for her. Let her eat this first and recover slowly!" Sister Min stuffed the bowl of noodles into Wu Meng's hands, gesturing for him to take it over.

The man nodded, raised his chin, and gestured for her to leave.

"Zhenzhen, come on, it's time to eat. Can you get up?"

Ouyang Zhen felt as if she were floating on clouds, completely without strength. Wu Meng tentatively sat down on the edge of the bed, picked her up, and let her lean against his chest. He wrapped his arms around her, holding a bowl in one hand and chopsticks in the other, and fed her.

One bite... two bites... three bites...

She ate very delicately and slowly. Even though she only ate a small half bowl and drank a few sips of soup, for Wu Meng, the fact that she was willing to eat the food he fed her was already a great blessing.

At dinner time, she finally got out of bed. Although she still had to hold onto the wall, her face had a little color back and wasn't as pale as before.

After dinner, Wu Meng carried her to a lounge chair in the garden. The two sat quietly together. She stared blankly at the sunset and the birds in the sky, while he stared blankly at her.

How could someone be so beautiful and delicate? He couldn't understand it. Even after so many days, her soft, delicate skin and faint fragrance still made his mouth dry whenever he thought of her.

But he was too rough; his large hands, covered in calluses from gunshots, seemed like they would scratch her skin red with just a touch. He didn't know what to do with her, and his hands were at a loss.

"Vice Commander!"

Song Dang's voice came from behind.

Wu Meng turned his head, his eyes cold and icy, as if they were filled with ice.

What a clueless idiot.

"Deputy Commander!" Song Dang was still calling out furtively.

The man glanced at the quiet girl beside him, stood up, strode over, and kicked Song Dang in the backside.

"Damn it, can't you wait until I get back to talk about it?"

Zhenzhen finally agreed to spend some time with me, but this bastard has no sense of courtesy at all.

"Deputy Commander, look at this!" Song Dang pulled a fluffy little dog out of his camouflage pocket.

Wu Meng glanced at him coldly and kicked him again. "If you have nothing better to do, go stand guard. Do you think I'm paying you to spend your days chasing cats and dogs?"

Song Dang gave him a look that said, "You deserve to be hated by your wife."

"Vice Commander, I'm doing this for your own good. Your wife hasn't spoken to you for so many days. I'm so worried about her. I've been so concerned about you, and you don't even appreciate it. Fine then!"

As he spoke, the subordinate stuffed the puppy into his pocket and made a move to leave.

"Wait!" Wu Meng grabbed Song Dang by the back of his collar and pulled him back. "With this bastard, will Madam be willing to talk to me?"

Song Dang grinned mischievously, "Madam is soft-hearted, and soft-hearted girls all like these little animals. If you give this puppy to Madam to raise, she'll have something to keep her mind occupied. Once she's tamed it, if the puppy gets diarrhea or gets sick, won't she be heartbroken? And if she's heartbroken, won't she come to you crying?"

The thought of his soft, delicate wife crying helplessly in his arms, trusting and relying on him completely, made Wu Meng grin foolishly. He kicked Song Dang and said, "You little bastard, you're actually somewhat useful. Get the dog here!"

"Yes!"
