Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 172 The young mistress fainted

The ward on the top floor of the international hospital wasn't busy. A young nurse slacked off during her shift, secretly watching Thai dramas under the table.

The bored girl stumbled upon this and immediately grabbed some snacks and fruit to join in. Despite her limited English, she had no trouble communicating and they quickly became friends.

She was wearing a nurse's uniform and squatting there. Several people were engrossed in watching the show. Even though they couldn't communicate in the same language, the girls had a natural ability to empathize with the characters and were watching with great interest.

When Hong Jin opened her eyes, Dasen and a maid were by her side, along with a nurse who came to change her dressing.

My mind went blank for a moment, then I sprang out of bed, shouting, "Yuebao!"

He got out of bed barefoot, the IV drip in his hand swaying violently from side to side as he moved. "Yuebao... Yuebao..."

"Sir!" Dassen rushed forward to stop him, but the man grabbed him by the collar. "Dassen, where is the young mistress?"

"Sir, the young lady says she's bored and wants to go out for a while!"

"You believe everything she says? You idiot!" The man was furious, shoving the IV needle out of his hand and rushing out. "She ran away! Chase her! Go check the security footage and see which direction she ran from!"

The man opened the ward door and strode out. The nurse on duty saw this and quickly went to stop him, saying, "Sir, you can't leave yet."

"Get out!" The man's eyes were bloodshot and almost bleeding, like a mad beast. Several nurses went up to persuade him, but none of them dared to pull him away.

The people who can come here are all of extraordinary status, either rich or powerful. Although we don't know the man's true identity, just by looking at how nervous the dean and the director are, we know he's not someone to mess with, and no one dares to offend him.

Yao Gongyue was engrossed in watching her drama when suddenly all her fellow viewers stood up to stop the patient who rushed out. Turning around, she saw it was Hong Jin, rolled her eyes, threw down her potato chips, strode forward, and pulled aside the trembling nurse standing beside her.

"What kind of delirium are you having? You're awake and can't you lie down properly?"

The ferocious beast, which had been raging just a moment ago, stopped in its tracks, the ferocity in its eyes gradually fading, replaced by joy and delight, "Baby...baby!"

He rushed forward excitedly, pulled the person into his arms, and tightened his embrace, saying, "You little ingrate, I thought you ran away again."

The man's voice trembled with grievance as he kissed the top of her fragrant hair. "You didn't run away, my darling is still here!"

Yao Gongyue was hugged for almost a minute, but he still didn't let go. She impatiently pushed him away, "He's not running away! So annoying! I can't even watch a drama in peace, you jerk! Go back and lie down, I'll go back after I finish this episode!"

“Let’s go back to the ward, I’ll watch it with you!”

"No, I want to watch it with the fairies!"

The arms cannot twist the thighs.

When Hong Jie came in, he almost thought he had gone blind.

A group of nurses were watching a Thai drama together. His dignified and aloof cousin, with an IV drip in one hand and a water glass in the other, was diligently "serving" one of the nurses, while Darson and several servants stood respectfully behind him.

"Tsk tsk tsk, I've never seen anything like this in my life!" He swaggered past Dassen, pulled up a chair, and sat down. "Awake?"

Hong Jin didn't even lift his eyelids. "Why aren't you staying in the military camp? What are you doing here?"

"How the hell can I stay here? My grandfather sent that woman to the army camp, and she's living in my dorm!"

"What sins did my second uncle commit to give birth to such a rebellious son as you?"

Hong Jin slowly and deliberately handed the straw from the water glass to Yao Gongyue's lips.

The girl opened her mouth and took a sip, her eyes still fixed on the tablet without blinking.

"How the hell are you any better than me?" Hong Jie kicked his cousin's chair angrily. "You better figure out a way to get that woman out of here. I'm going crazy."

"If you can be driven crazy by women, your only value is in marriage!"

"Hong Jin, are you even human? In the end, wasn't this all your doing, plotting against me?"

"Did I let you in?" His cousin showed no remorse, glancing at him with cold eyes. "Go inside and wait. I have something to tell you."

After Hong Jin finished speaking, she beckoned to the maid and handed her a water glass. "Yuebao, come back after you finish watching this episode. We'll go home in a bit!"

"You're able to be discharged now?"

"Okay! The doctor will go to the manor with me. I have things to do and can't stay here!" The man patted her head, turned and walked towards the ward, gesturing to Dassen that he didn't need to follow.

Once inside the ward, Hong Jie closed the door, lit a cigarette, and leaned against the window with a wicked grin. "Any suspects?"

"I flew directly back to the military camp. Only a few people knew my whereabouts, so it wasn't difficult to find out!"

"I've taken everyone who's seen you into custody. By tomorrow morning, I'll definitely be able to get them to talk!"

"No matter who it is, once it's confirmed, kill them first and report later!" Hong Jin sat on the sofa, his eyes cold and indifferent, devoid of any warmth.

"I really can't figure out who would dare to attack you, and almost succeed. This person must be in a high position. Killing them rashly would probably cause trouble!"

“I’ll take the blame if anything happens. If we don’t kill him now, he might target you or other members of the Hong family once I return to China, which could lead to endless trouble!”

"Are you still leaving?" Hong Jie asked angrily.

"After my grandfather's birthday, I will take Yuebao back to China. I promised to accompany her in her studies!"

"Didn't she have no memory of you? Why would she be willing to follow you?" Hong Jie raised an eyebrow, his eyes full of confusion.

"Is this your business?" The scoundrel cousin's patience ran out. "Go back now and don't come hanging around in front of me unless it's absolutely necessary. Just looking at you annoys me!"

"No way, if you don't get that woman out of here, I'm not leaving!" Hong Jie plopped down on the hospital bed, acting all thuggish.

Just then, a knock sounded on the ward door. "Sir!" Dassen anxiously asked at the door.

"Enter!"

Dassen pushed the door open and entered, his well-trained composure completely gone, replaced by a panicked expression. "Sir, the young mistress has fainted!"

bang~

Hong Jin slammed the water glass in her hand to the ground with a thud. "Where is he?"

"Don't worry, the doctor is already conducting the examination!"

"lead the way!"

The group rushed to the examination room. The nurses who had been watching the show together earlier lowered their heads and dared not utter a sound when they saw this imposing man approaching.

Dassen waved for the group to leave, then briefly described what had just happened.

"After watching the show, the young lady said she was tired and wanted to go back to rest. As soon as she stood up, she fainted. Fortunately, the nurse next to her caught her. I called the doctor over, and after he treated her, I immediately went to inform you!"

Hong Jin sat down on a bench, his dark eyes deep and his aura sharp. He was extremely agitated, so he took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth.

"Got it! Did you find the person I asked you to find?"

"We've already made contact, and I've sent Dr. Li a general description of the young lady's condition. He said he'll let me know when the treatment schedule is arranged!"

"I'll arrange to meet Dr. Li in Beijing, China. I'll be returning to China in a couple of days!"
