Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 154 Yuebao, come home with me!

The hot spring villa was bathed in the cold moonlight streaming through the window, making the snow-covered landscape as bright as day.

Inside the warm room, steam rises and green vegetation adorns the flowerbeds.

A wall separates two seasons!

Yao Gongyue was soaking in the hot spring, lazily watching her drama, occasionally reaching out to grab snacks from a plate beside her, but the doubts in her heart remained.

What's wrong with this jerk today? He usually won't let her touch things like bubble tea or fries, but today he's suddenly so accommodating. She just casually mentioned it, and he got it for her without a second thought.

Moreover, even if she begs him, she has to do an English practice test. If she doesn't do it well, he will make her stay up all night as punishment. But today, he didn't mention it at all.

"Okay! Go and get ready. I'll leave as soon as I've finished here!"

The man who was making a phone call approached from afar, his long legs carrying him an even more imposing aura than before. Seeing her looking in their direction, he hung up the phone. "Moon, come on, have some fruit!"

Nuohan placed a fruit plate in front of her, this time thoughtfully adorned with two pink bubble roses, making it quite exquisite.

"Big blockhead, how come I never noticed before that you look so handsome in black?" Her delicate shoulders peeked out from the water, her hair was tied in a high bun, her cheeks were flushed with a faint pink, and there were even water droplets on them. Her clear black and white eyes looked at him with such unguarded tenderness.

The man's dark eyes trembled, and he lowered his head and chuckled softly, his thin lips opening and closing with a hint of grievance, "You never even bothered to look at me properly before!"

Yao Gongyue didn't expect him to say that. She pursed her lips and said, "It's because you used to bully me all the time. I hate it when people bully me."

"If I promise I won't bully you anymore and will pamper you, will you marry me?"

His Adam's apple bobbed, his tall frame casting a shadow that enveloped her entirely, as he watched her intently.

"Let's see how you do it!" She tilted her chin up, arrogantly picked up a strawberry, took a bite of the tip, and then presented the strawberry's bottom to him. "Open your mouth!"

The man froze for two seconds, his dark eyes growing even deeper. He obediently opened his mouth and took half of her finger into it.

"You're so annoying!" The girl shyly reached out and slapped him. Water stains soaked the man's shirt, and the not-so-thick fabric clung to his muscular chest, making his well-defined chest muscles faintly visible.

Yao Gongyue looked at him mischievously, then suddenly grabbed his shirt and lifted it up, reaching out with her other hand, "I want to touch your abs."

"The moon!" The man was caught off guard, letting out a muffled groan. He grabbed her wrist, trying to pull away, but then inexplicably let go. "Go back to the room and touch it!"

As he spoke, he bent down to pick the person up.

But then the phone rang.

"Boss!" It was Solang's voice. "Hong Jin has brought his men, and they're almost at the villa's entrance!"

A faint smile tugged at the corner of the man's lips. "Let him in! Let's avoid a conflict!"

"Moon, come on, put your clothes on first, we have a guest!" He picked up a bathrobe from a chair not far away, lifted Yao Gongyue out of the bath, and draped it over her.

"Who is it? Coming to someone's house in the middle of the night, how rude!" Yao Gongyue said as the man dried her hair.

"Hong Jin!" Nuo Han's dark eyes were fixed on her beautiful face, not missing a single reaction in her eyes.

"Didn't you chase that annoying guy away? Why is he back again?" She frowned, her face full of impatience.

The man placed his hands on her slender shoulders, turning her around until their eyes met. "But he won't give up and has come after us again, Moon. If he says something nonsensical, will you go with him?"

"What do you think he could say to make me go with him?" The girl's clear, bright eyes looked at him intently. "The fact that you asked this question means there's a possibility that he might take me away, and that you think he has a reason to do so. If that's the case, given your temperament, you shouldn't have let him see me. Why did you tell me he was a guest and even let him in?"

The man stood there, frozen, his knuckles turning white. "I...I..."

"You're hurting me!" she said angrily, kicking his ankle, her beautiful brows furrowed tightly. "What are you doing? Don't you know how strong you are?"

"Fine, I know you're up to no good. You just want me to talk to him myself so he'll give up, right?" Yao Gongyue glared at him and turned to walk inside.

"Moon, where are you going? Don't be angry, I... I'll have someone stop him from coming in." Nuohan nervously grabbed her wrist, but was interrupted before he could even apologize.

"Don't hold me back, I'll go change into my swimsuit. You wouldn't want me to appear in front of other men like this, would you? They're already here, so let's just see them!"

After she finished speaking, she shook off the man's hand and went back to her bedroom.

The man stood there, irritably scratching his short hair, lighting a cigarette, and standing by the window, feeling as if his chest was stuffed with cotton.

In the bedroom, Yao Gongyue quickly rinsed off in the bathroom and went to the walk-in closet, where he found clothes he had prepared in advance. He frowned; why were the clothes he bought different from the styles he had previously chosen? Knowing that he preferred a more Chinese style, why were they all European and American styles he bought?

She picked out an apricot-colored long sweater dress to change into, and was just about to dry her hair when she heard a commotion downstairs. She lost all interest in dawdling, threw down the towel, and pushed open the door to go out.

"Baby!"

The man, who had been standing at the living room door, ready to fight Nuohan, rushed forward the moment he saw her, pulling her into his arms. "Baby, I'm sorry, I had a little accident at noon. Were you scared? Come home with me!"

The man's voice was familiar and gentle.

Before meeting him, she always had this feeling that she should hate this man. But now that she has met him, is being held by him, smells his scent, and hears his deep voice, she suddenly feels that she doesn't hate him as much as she thought, and doesn't even feel any aversion to him.

"You..." She struggled to find the words she wanted to say, but just a few steps away, another man's voice came from behind.

"moon!"

Yao Gongyue suddenly snapped out of her daze and pushed away the man who was holding her. "Show some respect! Who gave you permission to hug me? My boyfriend is still here!"

After she finished speaking, she gave him a disgusted look and turned to walk towards Nuohan.

Hong Jin stared in disbelief as she placed her hand in Nuo Han's palm and affectionately took his arm.

Her hair was still wet, the man's shirt was casual, and there were water stains on his chest. There was a small hot spring bath downstairs...

Hong Jin's mind went blank for a moment, his blood surged and rushed to his head, his eyes rapidly filled with blood and turned crimson at a visible speed, making him look like a demon who had gone mad.

"Yuebao! Come here! Come home with me!"

He nearly ground his back teeth to powder, his whole body trembling uncontrollably. Even with all his might, he still felt breathless, his wolf-like eyes fixed on the girl who was looking at him in astonishment.

Yao Gongyue pursed her lips and remained silent. She should have taken the opportunity to decisively reject him, but seeing his unbearable pain, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her heart.
