Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 139 I actually believe, just a tiny bit, what you said about loving me.

When Hong Jin's car drove into the villa, dinner was already prepared. It was a home-cooked meal made by Da Jiao and Xiao Jiao themselves. The servants were given the day off, and Yao Gongyue and Ouyang Zhen assisted by peeling onions and such, which counted as participation.

"Mom, Auntie, I'm sorry we're late!" He took off his coat, put on slippers, and walked inside. Wu Meng and Ba Lu followed him in.

"It's not too late, we've just finished preparing!" Da Jiao placed a bowl of boiled pork slices on the table and called to them, "Quickly, go wash your hands, and come out to eat after you've washed your hands."

A warm feeling washed over Hong Jin. Not only Hong Jin, but Wu Meng and Ba Lu felt even warmer inside. Both of them had lost their mothers at a young age and hadn't tasted their mothers' cooking for many years.

But even if a grown man's heart is churning with turmoil, his face remains calm and composed.

Yao Gongyue and Ouyang Zhen went upstairs. As soon as Wu Meng came in, he ran to find his wife and brought her down. Yao Gongyue was pulled to sit next to Hong Jin. Da Jiao and Xiao Jiao greeted the children and had a lively reunion dinner. After watching the fireworks, it was already past nine o'clock in the evening.

After seeing Wu Meng and Ouyang Zhen off, Ba Lu also drove over.

"Mom, Auntie, the trunk contains gifts that Yuebao picked out for you from Thailand. Take a look and see if you like them." Hong Jin personally opened the car door and helped Da Jiao and Xiao Jiao into the car.

Yao Gongyue glanced at him with her beautiful eyes, but didn't say anything, stubbornly refusing to admit that she hadn't thought of this at all.

She was about to get into the car behind Xiao Jiao when a man grabbed the back of her neck, pulled her into his arms, and slammed the car door shut.

"Goodbye Mom, goodbye Auntie, get some rest!" Hong Jin waved and started the car. Da Jiao and Xiao Jiao's faces showed no sign of anything amiss.

"What are you doing? I want to go home!" Yao Gongyue brushed his hand off her waist and glared at him irritably.

“Your home is here!” the man said slowly, correcting him.

"I'm not going back. Mom and Auntie will overthink things. Can you please stop being so annoying?"

"They agreed!" Hong Jin took her small hand and led the group back. "Otherwise, would they have left if you hadn't gotten on the bus?"

Yao Gongyue angrily shook off his hand and said irritably, "What did you say to them?"

The man looked down and chuckled, gently ruffling the top of her head. "What do you think?"

"How would I know you're so bad?"

"Nothing." The man deliberately sat down on the sofa, his hand instinctively reaching for a cigarette. Meeting her angry eyes, he tugged at the corner of his lips and raised his hand. "Come here."

"Tell me, tell me, how exactly did you coerce and entice me? Da Jiao and Xiao Jiao are seasoned veterans, they can't be fooled by just a few words from you." The little vixen switched seamlessly between hard and soft tactics when hard tactics failed.

Hong Jin pulled her into his arms, playing with her delicate white hands, and said calmly, "I've made a solemn promise to get you into Peking University's graduate school, and I promise to study with you."

"Oh my god!" She was so shocked she almost jumped off the man's lap. "Others may not know what kind of person I am, but don't you? I practically shrunk you down and brought you into the exam hall back then. You, you, you've made such a huge promise, are you trying to screw me over?"

"It's over, it's over, it's over!" She pushed away Hong Jin's large hand that was holding her waist, and ran around barefoot on the carpet. "I was wondering why Da Jiao was acting so kind and gentle today. It turns out it was all your doing, you rascal."

She spun around twice, still not satisfied, then grabbed a cushion from the sofa and threw it at the man. "Now it's all over. Da Jiao's maternal love is directly linked to my postgraduate entrance exam. If I don't pass, she'll send me to an orphanage. You dog of a man, you're so cunning."

Hong Jin sat on the sofa watching her jump up and down, unable to suppress the smile on his lips. He propped his forehead up with his large hand and chuckled to himself.

"What are you laughing at?" Yao Gongyue knelt on the sofa and grabbed his ear. "Do you want to adopt me from an orphanage and become my dad?"

Hong Jin simply lay down on the sofa, pulled her into his arms, and laughed for a while before speaking, "Yuebao, listen to me. You haven't really studied anything properly since high school. Take the postgraduate entrance exam, study hard for a few years, and don't leave yourself with any regrets!"

The person in his arms stopped struggling, placed their hands on his chest, and looked up at him. "But I really can't pass the exam, Hong Jin. I don't even understand high school level knowledge."

"It's alright! I'll teach you!" He gently tucked her stray hairs behind her ear, his touch tender and affectionate. "I'll stay with you."

Yao Gongyue pursed her lips, her beautiful eyes darting around, and without saying another word, obediently lay down on him.

"Yuebao, actually before coming to China, I was even prepared to turn myself in and go to jail if you didn't forgive me, really."

"..."

"Since you don't want to send me to jail and have agreed to marry me, then I'll go to school with you, make up for your regrets, accompany you as you grow up, and pretend that we met a long time ago, okay?"

"Although I am good-looking and cute, I still can't understand why you, a prince, can have any woman you want. Why do you keep bothering me? I think I'm not ambitious and it would be fine if I just stayed in the game."

She buried her head in the man's chest, feeling soft and yielding, clearly still shaken by what they had just discussed.

"I'm straight, have good taste, and I like you. Is that strange?" He chuckled as he caressed her smooth skin under her sundress, his large hand roaming freely over her back.

“I understand lust, but I never expected to end up in jail, although I did consider selling everything I own to sue you,” she muttered, revealing her true feelings.

"Then why don't you want to sue anymore?" The man's breath hitched, and his large, nervous hand stopped on her waist.

"When you found the bomb, your first reaction wasn't to lie down, but to protect me. I was quite shocked." She pursed her lips and looked up at him. "From childhood to adulthood, many boys have said they liked me, but I didn't believe any of them. They wrote love letters, confessed their feelings, and even deliberately ruined my reputation to force me and bully me."

Actually, I didn't know what it was like for a man to truly love me, but when you risked being blown up to protect me without even thinking, I actually started to believe, a little bit, that you loved me.

"..."

“I have no expectations for the relationship, so I decided not to sue you. Part of it is to repay the love you gave me, but more so because I know I can't sue you. It would be a waste of time and effort, and I don't want to end up with nothing and be tricked by you into getting myself involved.”

Hong Jinmo looked at her with deep eyes, a hint of heartache in his gaze. He rarely saw her speak so earnestly from the heart.

"Hmm! Quite clever." The man's clear voice was lowered. "I'll go to jail, but when I get out, you'll still be mine."

"I knew you wouldn't suffer any loss, you bastard." Yao Gongyue pinched his ear hard. "What do you like about me? Should I change it?"

"I love how dramatic and eccentric you are!"

"Fine, I'll submit to your tyranny then!"

"You're so sensible! No wonder you have a husband who dotes on you!" The man sat up and carried her upstairs.

"What are you doing? I still want to watch my show!" Yao Gongyue struggled to reach for the tablet.

"I've deleted all the mindless dramas from your tablet and replaced them with postgraduate entrance exam study materials. Every night before bed, your husband will personally tutor you for an hour and a half, starting today!"

"Are you trying to force me to my death?"

"Mom said she'll agree to let us get married the day you pass the exam." The man whispered mischievously in her ear, "Auntie also said that you can focus on your studies, and she'll help us take care of the baby after it's born."

"I'll fight with you..."

"Go to class first, then work it out in bed..."
