Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 133 Leave the rest to me

As the gunfire subsided, the soldiers on the rooftop were bewildered and dared not openly watch their commander being entangled with that beautiful woman, so they all turned their faces away uncomfortably.

Wu Meng, looking utterly disgusted, kicked the soldier peeking in the backside, saying irritably, "What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a couple being affectionate? Get the hell out of here and clean up the battlefield."

"Okay, my lips are all swollen!"

She didn't know how long they kissed, but Yao Gongyue was out of breath. She turned her face away with difficulty and pushed the man away in a coquettish voice.

Hong Jin loosened his distance slightly. By now, it was broad daylight, and he could clearly see the faint blue finger marks on her face. A thick, fierce glint and icy killing intent flashed in his eyes. He reached out and stroked the marks with his large hand, his cold voice spreading out, "You got the short end of the stick? Who did this?"

Yao Gongyue's grievances welled up all at once, like a child who had finally waited for kindergarten to be let out to complain to her parents. She said while trembling, "It was that disgusting guy from the red-light district in Thailand. He hit me and tore my clothes... Waaah..." After crying for a while, she sniffed and said with a hint of pride, "But I didn't lose out. I bit him hard, and he was killed by Nuohan."

Hong Jin's frustration did not ease with her words "you didn't suffer any loss," but instead felt even more stifled. He licked his cheek with his wicked tongue, his eyes filled with darkness.

"You dare to bite any dirty thing? What if you get sick?" Although it was a reproachful tone, it was more out of heartache. Without waiting for her reply, he suppressed the self-reproach in his chest and pressed her forehead, "I'm sorry, baby, you've suffered!"

Only then did Yao Gongyue belatedly realize that she had dumped him so decisively, almost as if she had stabbed him in the heart with a knife. But when he reappeared, he only said "You've suffered." She felt guilty and a little embarrassed. Biting her lip, she lowered her head and suddenly dared not look at him or respond to him.

The man sensed her emotional fluctuations, lowered his head, stared at the top of her head with his dark eyes, raised his hand to lift her chin, and their eyes met.

"what happened?"

Yao Gongyue felt a little guilty and didn't know how to face him. She wanted to turn her face away, but the man turned her back to him.

Hong Jin frowned. "What's wrong? Speak!"

She swallowed hard, tears welling in her eyes, and said, "I treated you so badly, I even ran away, why do you still care whether I live or die? Shouldn't you be happy to see me suffer such a miserable end, and that I've finally gotten my comeuppance?"

The man's jaw snapped shut, and he flicked her forehead. "What are you thinking about? I've told you so many times to stop watching those brainless dramas, but you never listen."

"That's right! I thought you hated me to death, really." As she spoke, tears finally rolled down her cheeks. She wanted to lower her head, but the man held her chin and reached out to push her away.

Hong Jin then pulled her into his arms again.

A heavy sigh came from above.

"I didn't think that way, Yuebao. I don't blame you, I only blame myself for being so stubborn." His large, well-defined hand gently stroked her back, full of tenderness and affection.

“I’m a grown man with judgment and reason. How could I hold a grudge against my wife just because she threw a tantrum and left, not caring whether she lives or dies, and hoping she’ll get her comeuppance?”

"It was my fault to begin with, so it's understandable that you're angry. I'll change in the future, okay?"

The man looked at her eyes and brows, his expression gentle and unpretentious.

"I'm not your wife, don't take advantage of me!" she muttered, looking down, mostly embarrassed. Even though he had said it was his fault, even though it was clearly his fault, Yao Gongyue still felt like an unreasonable child in his nonchalant way of speaking.

"Who was just bothering me, asking me to repay her life-saving debt on her behalf? Trying to back out?"

"Ugh! How annoying!" Yao Gongyue simply gave up, stomped her foot, and turned away.

The man looked at her silently, his dark eyes unfathomable, as if he wanted to make up for all the time he had missed seeing her, with a faint doting look in his eyes.

This little one is always shameless and unreasonable, but it's rare to see her like this, so shy and girlish. It's quite charming.

She wasn't wearing makeup; her face was naturally unadorned, with striking, bold features, perfectly mirroring the honesty and unwavering sincerity between the two of them at that moment.

"Yuebao, can I understand why, even though I can clearly feel that you like me and depend on me, you also reject me and refuse to accept me?"

At this moment, Hong Jin suddenly didn't want to guess anymore, nor did she want to waste any more time. She boldly tore away the most secret barrier between them and mustered up the courage to ask.

Yao Gongyue was taken aback at first, then turned to look at him and remained silent for a long time.

Hong Jin didn't rush him. She looked back at her, patiently waiting for her little coward to struggle and weigh his options. It was like every time they went out, even though they were already way over time, she would still sit there patiently, waiting for her to put on makeup and choose her clothes and bag, and she would also comfort her from time to time, "Don't rush, baby, take your time."

The surroundings were quiet, with lush mountains on all sides.

A man in military uniform and a woman in a white dress.

“I don’t want to stay in J country, I don’t want to leave home. You’re so rich and powerful, while I come from an ordinary family. If we’re together, a lot of people will say I’m seducing you, trying to climb the social ladder, and they’ll even gossip about my family. There’s so much backstabbing and infighting in your extended family. I don’t have that kind of cunning. I’ll definitely get killed. Anyway, anyway, I’m just scared…”

She finally spoke her mind, even though she cried uncontrollably.

Hong Jin just stood there quietly watching her cry, even with a hint of a smile in his eyes.

After a long while, she finally stopped, giving the man a reproachful glare. "You should at least say something to comfort me, or at least make some kind of statement."

Hong Jin raised an eyebrow with a wicked smile, "Do I need to make a statement? Haven't you already figured it out?"

She was so cowardly, so afraid of death, yet the moment she saw him, she resolutely and without hesitation wanted to jump off the plane and rush towards him regardless of everything. What else could he not understand?

The reason I wanted to hear her say it herself was simply to put this relationship out in the open and not let the little one feel insecure anymore.

He pulled her into his arms, his sexy voice like a clear, cool spring, "That's enough, baby. You only need to take this one step, leave the rest to me."

He cupped her small face in his hands and gently kissed her. "Sweetie, go back with Ah Meng first. I have some things to take care of and will be there in a couple of days!"

"What are you going to do?"

"My wife suffered such a huge loss in Thailand, I have to get some justice." His voice was calm, but his eyes were unfathomable and chilling.

I want to go with you.

"I'm going to kill someone."

"Then you'd better stay away from me."

"I'll take you next time!"

“We have to go now! I’m going to call my mom.” As she spoke, she naturally reached into the man’s pocket where he kept his personal cell phone, took out the phone, and pulled his hand to unlock it.

She looked up in surprise when she saw the word "Mom" in the contact name after she dialed her mother's number, her eyes filled with disdain as she stared at him.

"Well, Mom agreed!" He raised an eyebrow with a mischievous grin, looking completely at ease.

"You're trying to undermine me? I already told my mom you're a bad guy, and she didn't call the police to arrest you?"

“Where do you see a mother-in-law grabbing her son-in-law? Besides, I’ve already explained that you were the one throwing a tantrum. You’re not sure about your own behavior, but my mother-in-law knows it all. She even advised me not to hold it against you.”

Could you be any more of a dog?

Does discussing getting married during the Chinese New Year with your mother-in-law count?

"Hong Jin! You dog of a man!" She angrily raised her foot and kicked the man's leg hard, but he grabbed her around the waist and pinned her to his arm. "Get in bed and I'll hit you again!"
