Imprisoning the Black Moonlight

Chapter 123 Accept your fate, and you will survive, understand?

Yao Gongyue woke up with a sharp stomachache. Having not eaten for a long time, her stomach was cramping. She struggled to open her eyes and found herself locked in an iron cage.

The surrounding lights were dim, the damp air was filled with a nauseating smell, and there was no ventilation in the room. Low sobs could be heard from inside.

She moved her fingers slightly, and the rusty iron cage edge scraped painfully against her. This pain, however, actually made her more alert.

Her heart pounded in her chest. The reports of teenage girls being abducted that she had seen online before, and the tragic fates of those girls, all rushed into her mind. In just an instant, she realized that she had been abducted by that old woman.

Was she scared? Of course she was scared. She valued her life so much, how could she not be scared?

But she knew that being afraid was useless.

Tears fell onto her white down jacket, which she gritted her teeth and wiped away, forcing herself to calm down.

It was very hot here, so hot that she broke out in a thin layer of sweat, so she probably wasn't in Beijing. The air was very humid, somewhat like the climate of the Indochina Peninsula.

I took off my coat and placed it under my numb legs. I remembered that I seemed to have a few chocolates in my pocket, so I touched them and they were still there!

I peeled off the packaging, put it in my mouth, and ate three pieces in a row. Gradually, I felt less uncomfortable.

She turned to the girl in another cage next to her and asked, "Do you know where we are?"

The girl couldn't understand a word she was saying. She shook her head, crying, and spoke in some unknown dialect. Yao Gongyue's heart sank even further. She hadn't just left Beijing; she had already left the country.

After a rough assessment, she was certain that she had been trafficked to some place in Southeast Asia. Human trafficking is rampant in Southeast Asia, and many local governments turn a blind eye. These unscrupulous businessmen collude with local gangs, and some government officials even act as their protectors, forming a complete industrial chain. Escaping from this place would be as difficult as climbing to the sky.

Before she could come up with a solution, a woman's voice rang out from outside. Yao Gongyue couldn't understand it, but she could tell that the person was speaking Thai.

Is she in Thailand?

Shortly after, the door was pushed open, and a woman walked in wearing a gaudy sequined bodycon dress, heavily made up, with false eyelashes practically glued to her eyebrows, and greasy red lips that looked like she had just eaten human flesh.

She walked around the seven or eight cages containing young girls, her high heels clicking as she strolled through a supermarket. Yao Gongyue sat there calmly, neither crying nor making a fuss, letting her scrutinize her.

She knew this woman was probably involved in shady business, but the fact that she was the first to come in and choose people meant that those she selected would at least not lose their lives for the time being.

Sure enough, the man turned around and his eyes lit up when he saw Yao Gongyue. He nodded and clapped his hands, unable to hide his excitement. He called his henchmen to come in, unlock the cage, and release Yao Gongyue.

The glamorous woman made no attempt to hide her presence as she circled Yao Gongyue twice, speaking fluent Thai.

She forced a smile, "Pretty sister, what did you say? I don't understand!"

"Are you Chinese?" The glamorous woman was taken aback when she heard her speak, and then asked in broken Chinese.

Yao Gongyue didn't speak, but nodded at her.

"You're quite brave, little girl. Other girls are scared and cry when they see me, and you're still laughing?"

"You're beautiful, you have a great figure, unlike those smelly men. Even a fairy can't be that bad, right?" The excessively beautiful and delicate girl smiled sweetly, her words eloquent. No one dislikes hearing compliments. Chaya grinned, her jaw agape, and laughed heartily.

"This is unbelievable! This little girl is quite likable. Alright, come with me. If you stay any longer, that bastard Sangton will be here soon, and you won't be able to leave!"

Yao Gongyue twitched the corners of her mouth, nodded, and followed the glamorous woman out the door, getting into a black car parked outside.

As the car drove through bustling streets, with neon lights flashing on both sides of the shops and Chinese signs appearing from time to time, she soon realized that she was in Pattaya, Thailand.

"Pretty sister, where are we going?" Yao Gongyue tried to appear relaxed, hoping to get some information out of the woman next to her.

Chaya sized her up and down for two seconds with her shrewd eyes, then sighed, "Little sister, I think you're a smart person, so I'll just tell you the truth. You've been sold out, and our boss is the buyer. You're lucky to have been chosen by him. At least you've gone to the red-light district with me. As long as you're obedient, you can still live. The other girls aren't very good-looking. They won't live long."

Yao Gongyue gripped the edge of her sweater tightly with her fists, biting her lip. "Red...red-light district?"

“That’s right, what else can we do? The boss spent so much money to buy you, are we just going to keep you around? You have to make money for the boss!” Chaya patted her shoulder. “Don’t worry, since you’re so sweet-talking, I’ll protect you. As long as you’re obedient and know your place, at least no one will dare to hit you!”

The girl next to him, her face pale, swallowed hard, a flash of ruthlessness crossing her eyes. "Then, I'll have to rely on you for my care, sister."

As someone who's been through it all, how could Chaya not see through her thoughts behind her micro-expressions? She sneered, "Little sister, I advise you not to have any improper thoughts. There are all sorts of people there. Do you think you're the only smart one? I've been doing this for over ten years, and I've never seen anyone escape, nor have I ever seen anyone die according to their own wishes. Accept your fate, and you'll survive, understand?"

Yao Gongyue closed her eyes to adjust her breathing, her long nail clippers digging into the soft flesh of her palm, and said, word by word, "Then, I'll trouble you to take good care of me, sister!"

No girl who has been abducted is willing to become a prostitute. No matter how obedient she is, she must first undergo "training". Yao Gongyue and two other pretty girls were locked in a slightly better room and were only given some water and some bread.

When Chaya came in for the second time, she brought several burly men with her. Yao Gongyue was called out by Chaya alone. Before she could speak, a girl's scream rang out from inside.

Yao Gongyue turned pale with fright and stared at Cha Ya in astonishment.

Cha Ya raised her dark eyebrows. "Don't say I didn't take care of you. After those men go in, they'll need several days to recover. You can go in after they're all exhausted. I've already made arrangements so you won't be attacked by them all at once. It'll just be Abiao. He's gentle and will take care of you."

Yao Gongyue's dark eyes narrowed sharply, her fingertips trembled, and her face turned pale instantly. She took a deep breath, grabbed Chaya's hand, and forced her Cartier bracelet onto Chaya's wrist. "Thank you, beautiful sister. But, I think I just got my period. Could you please take care of me?"

Chaya was both amused and exasperated, rubbing the beautiful bracelet on her wrist. "I've never seen such a shrewd girl as you. But you can't hide from me forever. You were bought at a high price. I can only protect you for three days at most."

"Thank you, sister. Three days it is." Yao Gongyue tried her best to make her expression look innocent and naive. "Three days will at least give me a buffer. After three days, just like you said, I will accept my fate."

Although Chaya became a madam, she still had to go out and earn money. The big boss couldn't let the money in their pockets fly away, so he controlled them with drugs. Every month, the money she earned was used to buy that stuff, and she didn't have much money left. She had seen such expensive jewelry before, but she never wanted to buy it. Naturally, she was greedy for money for a moment.

The moment Yao Gongyue saw Chaya's clothes and cheap perfumes and cosmetics, she knew that Chaya didn't have much money. People like her, who were used to extravagance, were the most greedy. She was certain that Chaya would take the bait.
