Chapter 527

She was unwilling to leave like this and whispered, "Big sister, let's wait here. He has to get off work eventually. Let's wait for him to come out. He can't keep hiding from us forever."

Lin Keyi nodded: "Okay, let's wait."

Time passed by, and the sky gradually darkened.

In the open space in front of the Lingyun Group building, Lin Keshan and Lin Keyi stood still, their thin clothes shivering slightly in the wind.

Lin Keshan sat in her wheelchair, looking down at her legs.

Lin Keyi gripped the handle of her suitcase tightly, her gaze fixed on the building entrance, like a statue that refused to move.

Employees passing by would occasionally cast curious glances, and some would whisper among themselves, but no one would come forward to ask.

The two sisters looked like two lonely shadows, appearing even smaller against the cold light of the building.

Lin Keshan bit her lip and whispered, "Big sister, what if... he really refuses to see us?"

Lin Keyi was silent for a while: "Let's wait a little longer. Even if he hates us, we are still his sisters. He will come out eventually."

Just then, the crisp sound of high heels came from the building entrance.

Shan Caiwei walked out of the revolving door.

She was dressed in a smart black suit, her hair was piled up high, and her face showed a hint of fatigue but could not hide her elegance.

As the head of the purchasing department of Lingyun Group, she had been busy all day and was preparing to go home.

But as she passed the door, she caught a glimpse of the strange pair of sisters out of the corner of her eye.

She stopped, frowned, and glanced at Lin Keshan's wheelchair and Lin Keyi's suitcase, a hint of doubt rising in her heart.

She frowned, stopped, and whispered to the security guard beside her, "Who are those two people over there? Why are they still there?"

The security guard whispered, "They are Mr. Lin's two older sisters, Lin Keshan and Lin Keyi. They said they came to see him. But Mr. Lin wouldn't let them in and even told me to kick them out. They wouldn't give up, so they've been waiting there ever since."

Upon hearing this, Shan Caiwei frowned slightly.

She pondered for a moment, then turned to the security guard and said, "I'm going upstairs. You keep an eye on them and make sure they don't cause any trouble."

The security guard nodded, and Shan Caiwei turned and walked into the building, heading straight for the CEO's office on the top floor.

Inside the office, Lin Ling stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a cup of coffee in her hand, her gaze coldly looking down at the city outside the window.

His profile appeared particularly stern in the afterglow of the setting sun, exuding a chilling aura that kept people at a distance.

Shan Caiwei knocked on the door, then pushed it open and entered. Seeing his appearance, she said softly, "President Lin, aren't you done yet?"

Lin Ling turned her head and glanced at her: "Almost there. Why haven't you left yet?"

Shan Caiwei smiled, stepped forward, placed her briefcase on the table, and said in a low voice, "I was about to leave, but when I went downstairs, I saw something was wrong at the door."

“Your two older sisters, Lin Keshan and Lin Keyi, have been waiting there all afternoon, saying they want to see you.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Ling paused slightly, put down his coffee cup, and sneered, "They really are persistent."

Observing his expression, Shan Caiwei softened her tone: "President Lin, what do you think... should we meet with them and clear things up?"

Lin Ling frowned, her gaze returning to the window: "Caiwei, when did you become so nosy?"

With a forced smile, Shan Caiwei said, "President Lin, I know you have a grudge against the Lin family, but they look quite pitiful, one in a wheelchair and the other dragging a suitcase."

“They’ve been waiting here all day. If word gets out, people might say you’re heartless. I think it would be better for you to see them, even if it’s just to say a few words, than to let them keep bothering you.”

Lin Ling remained silent for a moment.

Shan Caiwei is right. If they are allowed to continue making a scene at the gate, it will inevitably attract gossip.

He snorted and said in a low voice, "Fine, let them come up. But I'll only give them five minutes."

Dan Caiwei breathed a sigh of relief and nodded: "Okay, I'll go down and call them right away."

A few minutes later.

The office door was gently pushed open, and Shan Caiwei walked in first, saying in a low voice, "President Lin, the person has been brought."

She stepped aside, her gaze shifting between Lin Ling and the doorway.
