Shang Yanfang and Gao Jianguo then realized why Shang Guokang had come.

"Such a big package, it must contain something of mine." Shang Guokang said as he unpacked the package.

"Sister, look, these are the little clothes that Mom made for our nephew." Shang Guokang said, looking at the few small pieces of clothing.

Shang Yanfang took the palm-sized piece of clothing from Shang Guokang's hand, and only then did she begin to feel a little bit like a mother.

"My mother sent me food, nutritional supplements, and a swaddle for my little nephew," Shang Guokang said helplessly.

Looking at the things her mother had sent, Shang Yanfang was both amused and exasperated; there really wasn't anything of Xiaokang's caliber.

"Sister, sister, this coat should be mine," Shang Guokang suddenly said, noticing a black coat on the side. He even proudly took off his own clothes and put on the coat.

Shang Yanfang looked at Shang Guokang's clothes and almost laughed.

"Sister, did Mom misremember my clothes size? Why are they so long?" Shang Guokang said belatedly.

"Pfft~ Hahaha. Xiao Kang, is there any possibility that this dress isn't for you?" Shang Yanfang couldn't help but laugh.

"How could that be? If it wasn't made for me, then who was it made for..." Shang Guokang belatedly looked at his brother-in-law.

"This must have been made for me!" Gao Jianguo said, looking at the coat.

Shang Guokang angrily took off his coat and put it on the stool.

“This off-white coat must have been made for me,” Shang Yanfang said, pointing to the coat.

Shang Guokang continued rummaging through the contents of the package. Besides the two adult coats, there were also several pairs of adult socks.

"Xiaokang, these were specially made for you by your mother. She was worried you'd get cold," Shang Yanfang said, holding up the pairs of socks.

Shang Guokang was very pleased with this.

Shang Yanfang and Gao Jianguo also put on the coat, and it suited them both very well. It was perfect for her now that she was pregnant, and she could even wear it again after giving birth.

That night, Shang Yanfang felt very cold, and kept snuggling into Gao Jianguo's arms.

"Are you cold? Should we light the kang (heated brick bed)?" Gao Jianguo asked, holding his wife tightly in his arms.

"No need, go check on Grandpa and add some firewood to the coal stove in his room," Shang Yanfang said, letting go of Gao Jianguo's arms.

“Okay, I’ll go see Grandpa.” Gao Jianguo said, putting on his military overcoat, getting off the kang (a heated brick bed), and walking towards his grandfather’s room across the hall.

Seeing that the fire in the coal stove had gone out, she added some more firewood. Then she went to her grandfather's kang (a heated brick bed) and covered him with a blanket before returning to her own room.

As soon as Shang Yanfang saw Gao Jianguo return, she wanted to snuggle into his arms.

"No, I'm cold. I'll hug you later."

After hearing Gao Jianguo's words, Shang Yanfang obediently stopped trying to snuggle into his arms.

"Honey, how's Grandpa doing?"

"There was still a fire in the coal stove, so I added some more. Grandpa is sleeping soundly."

"That's good. Let's go see Grandpa Gao and Grandpa Liu tomorrow morning."

“Okay, I’ll go check tomorrow morning, you don’t need to go.” Gao Jianguo refused his wife’s suggestion. Based on his experience, it would snow tomorrow morning if nothing unexpected happened.

“Alright, you can take those two quilts to Grandpa Gao and the others too.” Shang Yanfang thought that she wouldn’t have to get up early, so she readily agreed to Gao Jianguo’s suggestion.

"Okay, go to sleep now." Gao Jianguo was warm now, and he hugged his wife in his arms.

The next day, Shang Yanfang was awakened by a chill.

She touched the person next to her, but couldn't find them, so she put on her clothes and walked to the window.

Pure white snowflakes drifted down from the sky, blanketing the earth in a silvery coat. Shang Yanfang stood by the window, gazing at the beautiful snow scene, a surge of joy welling up within her.

She quietly watched the snowflakes dance, each one like a little sprite, fluttering in the air before gently settling on the ground. The snowflakes covered houses, trees, and roads, turning the whole world white and serene.

Shang Yanfang stood there blankly for a long time. She had never seen snow in her previous life because of global warming.

"What are you standing here looking at?" Gao Jianguo's voice brought Shang Yanfang back to her senses.

"When did you come in? Did you go to Grandpa Gao's?" Shang Yanfang had been looking outside the door the whole time, but she didn't see Gao Jianguo, so she was very puzzled.

"I went and delivered the two quilts you sewed to the grandfathers, and also brought some eggs. I just got back." Gao Jianguo answered Shang Yanfang's question honestly.

When the two quilts were mentioned, Shang Yanfang showed a slight embarrassment.

Those two quilts were the ones Gao Jianguo used before. When Shang Yanfang married into the family, she made a few new quilts, so they decided to send the old ones to Grandpa Gao and his family.

But sending a neatly arranged quilt wouldn't work, so the young couple started to work on the quilts, one quilt each, to see who could make it better.

Gao Jianguo simply found some tattered cloth and sewed it onto the quilt, while Shang Yanfang, being an honest girl, simply cut a few holes in the quilt and then sewed them up with cloth.

As a result, she overestimated her sewing skills. After finishing the quilt, the cotton wadding was still loose. In the end, she had to ask Aunt Lu for help to sew the quilt properly.

Aunt Lu also said that the quilt looked like it had been gnawed on by rats.

"Okay, Gao Jianguo, I want to go out and play in the snow." Shang Yanfang longed for the snowy scenery outside.

"Okay, wear something warm, I'll go out with you for a while." Gao Jianguo took out a sweater and a military overcoat for Shang Yanfang, making his wife look like a ball.

Shang Yanfang looked at Gao Jianguo with a helpless expression, her eyes filled with accusation.

"Honey, wear something warm before you go out to play," Gao Jianguo said, giving his wife a kiss.

Shang Yanfang, dressed in layers upon layers, followed Gao Jianguo out of the house.

With one hand held by Gao Jianguo, Shang Yanfang took advantage of Gao Jianguo's inattention to reach her other hand towards the snow.

"Don't touch it, it's cold." Gao Jianguo kept a close eye on the food in Shang Yanfang's hands.

Shang Yanfang took out a pair of gloves from her spatial storage, put them on, and looked at Gao Jianguo with great pride.

Gao Jianguo looked at Shang Yanfang with a doting expression and smiled helplessly.

Shang Yanfang built a snowman with Gao Jianguo's help before stopping.

Gao Jianguo carefully helped Shang Yanfang back to her room before going to the kitchen to make breakfast.

Shang Yanfang moved a stool and sat under the eaves to continue playing in the snow.

"I'm freezing, I'm freezing, is dinner ready?" Shang Guokang, who was also bundled up like a ball, came in.
