I served as Li Bai's page.

We were ready, and as agreed beforehand, Li Bai led Meng Haoran and me out of the back gate of the courtyard at Chenshi (7-9 AM). The eight-bearer sedan chair and the ceremonial guard were already waiting at the back gate. Li Bai, draped in red flowers, rode a fine horse adorned with red flowers. Following the established order, Meng Haoran walked behind the ceremonial guard, and I followed behind Meng Haoran. Under the direction of the leader of the procession, the suona horns sounded, the drums thundered, and the procession marched towards the front gate of the Xu residence.

The team leader controlled the pace perfectly, arriving at the Xu residence gate at exactly 7:00 AM. Firecrackers went off, accompanied by the sounds of suona horns and gongs, making the area in front of the Xu residence extremely lively.

Li Bai dismounted, and Meng Haoran led the way. Accompanied by me, we walked along the road paved with red cloth to the gate of the Xu residence to greet his bride.

The onlookers kept cheering and jeering, while Butler Wu kept scattering a large box of wedding candy.

A short while later, Wu Ma and Xiao Qian helped the bride, dressed in her wedding attire and wearing a red satin veil, slowly walk out.

Upon arriving at the entrance, we greeted Li Bai and then helped the bride into the eight-bearer sedan chair. Meng Haoran and I stood on either side of the chair, while Wu Ma and Xiaoqian stood in front of me. The procession leader blew a suona horn, and immediately firecrackers went off, gongs and drums were beaten, and the suona horn resounded. The procession headed towards Baizhao Mountain.

When the procession arrived at Baizhao Mountain, the sun was shining brightly, its red rays filtering through the thin mist and illuminating the road leading to Li Bai's wedding, adding a layer of mystery and solemnity to our procession.

Upon arriving at the new house, the procession halted, with the honor guard standing on either side. The wedding officiant approached the sedan chair and shouted, "Lower the sedan chair!" The eight-bearer sedan chair was lowered. Wu Ma directed me to help Li Bai dismount. Xiao Qian lifted the sedan chair curtain, and Xu Ziyan stepped out of the chair. Li Bai quickly stepped forward to help her down. Meng Haoran took the red silk handed to him by Wu Ma and presented it to Li Bai and Xu Ziyan.

Immediately, applause erupted at the wedding venue, and the sounds of suona horns and gongs filled the air. I saw that Master Ziyang and the others were already waiting below the ceremony platform. Xuanmeng was holding a bunch of beautiful roses and was standing on tiptoe to look around. I waved to him, and he quickly squeezed over.

"Go, present the flowers to Miss Xu. May her life bloom like a flower," I said.

"Moonlight, but I can't describe it."

Xuanmeng squeezed through the crowd, placed the flowers in Miss Xu's hands, and said, "You and my brother-in-law are a match made in heaven. May your marriage bloom like a flower, never fading."

Xu Ziyan accepted the beautiful rose and bowed deeply to Xuan Meng.

Aunt Wu instructed Li Bai to lead the way, holding the red ribbon, with Xu Ziyan following behind. The two walked along the red avenue towards the ceremony platform. Upon reaching the platform, Li Bai and Xu Ziyan turned to face the audience. The wedding officiant announced, "As the new house is currently under construction, the wedding of Mr. Li and Ms. Xu will be held on this platform. The newlyweds, take your positions. First bow to Heaven and Earth."

Li Bai and Xu Ziyan knelt down and kowtowed three times to Bai Zhaofeng.

"Bowing twice to our parents."

Li Bai pulled Xu Ziyan and kowtowed three times towards the direction of Longxi Academy.

"Husband and wife bow to each other."

Li Bai and Xu Ziyan bowed three times to each other.

"Send them to the bridal chamber."

Xu Ziyan held the red silk ribbon, while Li Bai walked behind her towards the bridal sedan chair.

The emcee announced loudly: "The ceremony is complete. Everyone, please proceed to the Xu residence at Da'an Mountain for a celebratory drink."

Xu Ziyan led Li Bai to the sedan chair carried by eight men. Wu Ma instructed Li Bai to help Xu Ziyan into the chair. At this moment, Yuan Danqiu and Cen Xun approached and said:

"They've all been taken to the bridal chamber, Brother Taibai, you should go up too. We'll take your horse back for you."

Amidst everyone's cheers, Li Bai also boarded a sedan chair carried by eight men.

On the way back, the suona and drum music stopped, but everyone walked orderly around the sedan chair toward the Xu family mansion at Da'an Mountain.

Meng Haoran and I accompanied Master Ziyang and the others, walking at the very back of the procession. Wu Ma and Xiaoqian stayed by the sedan chair the whole time.

When they arrived at the Xu residence, Wu Ma told Li Bai and Xu Ziyan to get out of the sedan chair. Xu Ziyan, holding a red silk ribbon, led Li Bai through the back gate of the backyard into her bridal chamber.

We returned to the Xu residence around noon. Just as we arrived, Lord Ma also arrived. After exchanging greetings, Master Ziyang and his old friend went to the study.

Master Xu and Madam Xu were extremely grateful to them and Meng Haoran for finding Xu Ziyan such a suitable husband, and they both came to the study to express their thanks:

"Thank you all for your support in my daughter's marriage. Now that everything is settled and the wedding is complete, our family has prepared a small gift, which we hope you will accept with pleasure."

"Madam Xu wouldn't let her eat, saying she had to wait until you removed your veil before she could eat; that's the rule."
