The first thing Li Bai did upon waking was to rush to the main hall to see if I was still copying articles. When he saw ten copies of the Tao Te Ching neatly arranged on the table, along with a lifelike painting of him in purple robes supporting a drunken figure, his anger completely dissipated.

"I didn't expect you to copy so quickly, and your drawing is quite good too. I was wrong last night, I'm sorry. Come on, let's practice swordsmanship." After saying that, he took his sword and headed straight for the pool.

I followed behind him and said, "Young master, please teach me swordsmanship."

"Great! Maybe practicing like this will help you develop a manly spirit and stop acting like a frail little girl."

"Young master, I'm not weak, I'm just a little thin. Don't look down on me. I learned swordsmanship to make myself stronger so I can help you when you're drunk," I argued.

"Are you still angry? I'll be more careful next time and try not to get drunk. Okay, don't be angry anymore."

And so, I followed Li Bai to learn swordsmanship, horseback riding, and poetry writing, carrying paper, brush, ink, and inkstone as I traveled to all the caves and grottoes on Mount Qingcheng.

Time flies, and the Mid-Autumn Festival is almost here.

"Young Master, Master has sent a letter." Zi Yi rushed to Li Bai's study with a letter in her hand.

Li Bai unfolded the letter: "My twelfth son, it is as if I am seeing you in person upon reading this letter. Several years have passed since we parted. How much have you gained in your search for the Dao in Emei and Qingcheng? Your mother and I miss you dearly. Your younger sister, Yueyuan, is past marriageable age and has been betrothed to the Wu family. The wedding will take place after the Spring Festival. Ziyi was less than ten years old when you left home; she must have grown into a beautiful young woman by now. Your Uncle Lu and Aunt Lu miss you very much as well. We hope you will bring her home soon. We look forward to your return!"

Father took up the pen!

After reading it, Li Bai felt a sense of melancholy and wandering.

"Young Master, are you calling us back?"

"Yes, you must be homesick!"

"I wonder if my father said anything in his letter?"

"He said, Ziyi, you must be a good boy, take good care of the young master, and learn as many characters as possible from him. We all miss you all very much."

"I knew my dad would say that. When are we leaving?"

"You two get ready. I'll go to the East Cave to tell my master and then I'll leave."

After Li Bai finished speaking, he walked towards the East Cave.

After a while, he and Zhao Feng returned one after the other, leading a horse. Zhao Feng's eyes were red and swollen, and she followed behind him reluctantly.

"Yuehua, take this horse over there. You'll ride it in a bit. Your master chose it for you." Li Bai handed me the horse's reins, and I took them.

"Young Master, we're all packed. Shall we leave now?" Zi Yi was eager to go home.

"Okay," Li Bai replied, his eyes fixed on Zhao Feng.

"Xiao Feng, after I leave, you must practice diligently and take good care of your master and mistress. I may not be able to return until next spring."

"Senior brother, let me go with you, I'll be very obedient."

"No, Master can't live without you. He'll miss you if you leave."

"No, I want to go with you." Zhao Feng grabbed Li Bai with both hands and shook him back and forth in a coquettish manner.

"No, listen to me, I can't let Master worry," Li Bai said firmly.

"If you won't let me go, I won't let you leave." Zhao Feng finished speaking, and tears fell like pearls from a broken string. Li Bai hurriedly reached out to wipe them away, but the more he wiped, the more tears fell, and in the end, his own tears also fell.

I suddenly said to them with emotion, "If love between two people is meant to last, why should they be together every day?"

They stopped crying and glared at me at the same time: "Yuehua, you're asking for it."

Purple Robe urged from outside, "Young Master, let's go."

The three of us escorted Zhao Feng to the entrance of the Jade Maiden Cave. Li Bai took off the piece of mutton-fat jade he was wearing and tied it to the hilt of Zhao Feng's sword. Then, we rode our horses down Qingcheng Mountain.

Arriving at the foot of Mount Qingcheng, they were preparing to head towards Mianzhou. But Li Bai said, "Let's go to Dujiangyan first. Yuehua, you've been at Mount Qingcheng for months, and I haven't taken you to Dujiangyan yet. Let's go there today before heading home; I'm afraid we won't have another chance to come."

After Li Bai finished speaking, he looked completely bewildered.

However, I do know that Li Bai never returned after that departure.

The three of us turned our horses around and headed towards Dujiangyan.

Dujiangyan is located northeast of Mount Qingcheng, on the Minjiang River in the western part of the Chengdu Plain. It was built during the late Warring States period (approximately 276-251 BC) by Li Bing, the governor of Shu County, and his son, who summarized the water management experience of their predecessors and organized the people on both sides of the Minjiang River to build it. The headworks cover an area of ​​more than 200 mu (approximately 33 hectares) and are responsible for irrigating more than 10 million mu (approximately 6.67 hectares) of farmland in the central and western parts of the Sichuan Basin. It provides water for daily life and industry for the people on both banks and is also a good place for people to relax and vacation in their leisure time.

The three of us arrived in Dujiangyan after noon. After grabbing a quick snack, we headed straight for the Fish Mouth Diversion Dam. Also known as the "Fish Mouth," this dam is located at the deepest part of the Dujiangyan Irrigation System and is the most spectacular and worthwhile sight in the entire system. The Fish Mouth is the dam that divides the Dujiangyan canal into the Inner River and the Outer River. It allows the river water to rush down into the Outer River during the rainy season, while retaining enough water during the dry season to flow into the Inner River, thus ensuring the survival of crops in the Chengdu Basin.

Standing atop the Yuzui Dam, gazing upon the dense forests and towering cliffs on both banks, with canals seemingly cascading from the heavens and converging here towards the horizon, I was deeply moved and spontaneously recited Huang Yu's poem "Dujiangyan" from the Qing Dynasty: "The Min River flows from the distant horizon, a divine feat carving through the ancient Dujiangyan. Its boundless waves connect the three Chu regions, its nourishing waters irrigate the nine realms..."

Upon hearing this, Li Bai exclaimed in delight, drew his sword, and began to dance. He then inscribed on the Fish Mouth Embankment: "Li Bai, accompanied by the purple-clad moonlight, has come here."

After leaving the Yuzui Dam, we made brief stops at Feishayan and Baopingkou before heading towards Mianzhou in Jiannan Circuit.

After a non-stop journey, we finally arrived in Changlong County, Mianzhou, around 8 PM. We had planned to head straight to our hometown, Qinglian Town, but people in Changlong County told us that the road was under construction and wouldn't be passable until daytime. So we found a decent inn in town to stay in.

The three of us, leading our horses, had just reached the entrance of the inn when a man suddenly walked up from the street. He and Li Bai looked at each other, sizing each other up. They called out in unison, "Brother Taibai, long time no see!" "Brother Zhinan, long time no see!" Then, the two embraced warmly.
