No reconciliation, no forgiveness! Mr. Pei leaves with nothing.

Chapter 33 "Huahua...we're not divorced yet."

After Wen Huaishi drove with A Yuan, A Yuan, sitting in the back passenger seat, waved goodbye to Jiang Hua.

To outsiders, this scene looks like a heartwarming picture of a family of three, with a lovely daughter waving goodbye to her beautiful mother.

Jiang Hua turned her gaze back and noticed a car parked not far away. She also saw Pei Zhan in front of the windshield. Their eyes met for a moment, and Jiang Hua looked at him with a completely unfamiliar gaze, as if she were looking at a complete stranger.

A few months ago, Jiang Hua was filled with longing to be by his side all the time.

Now... Jiang Hua avoids him like the plague, and even... she thinks they've never met.

Jiang Hua didn't know how long it had been since she had contacted Pei Zhan, and she had even changed her phone number. Just as she was about to return to her apartment, her phone rang on the way. It was a call from Yulong Bay, asking her to come back for dinner.

Jiang Hua figured she had nothing else to do, so she hailed a taxi and went home.

Xu Qiulan was puzzled when she saw the taxi outside. She went to greet it, opened the passenger door, and took the bag from Jiang Hua's hand. "Miss, didn't your husband come back with you today?"

Jiang Hua only gave two perfunctory replies: "He's busy." It's always the same excuse she uses, and it was the same before.

Back when Jiang Hua first married Pei Zhan, she always wanted to bring him home for dinner, but he resisted, so her only excuse was that she was busy!

After learning about their situation, Xu Qiulan kept it a secret. After all, Jiang Hua was raised by Xu Qiulan, and she knew exactly what Jiang Hua was thinking.

She said, "My husband has already called Mr. Pei and asked him to come back for a meal as well."

Jiang Hua said irritably in an icy voice, "There's no point in fighting him. Anyway... he won't come. Even if he does, we'll still have to deal with his attitude. The Jiang family isn't surnamed Pei anymore."

"Miss, you must not say these things in front of the master."

Jiang Hua: "Doesn't Dad know about Pei Zhan's ambition?"

As Jiang Hua stepped into the entryway, her icy aura lessened somewhat.

"What's wrong now? I heard you throwing a tantrum at the front door." Jiang Weiguo walked down the stairs, a string of Buddhist prayer beads in his hand.

Maid: "The dishes are all served, sir, young lady... dinner is ready."

The maid pulled out a chair for Jiang Hua, who sat down and picked up her chopsticks.

Jiang Weiguo scolded, "Pei Zhan hasn't arrived yet, you're not allowed to be unruly."

Jiang Hua: "Give me a bowl of soup."

Xu Qiulan took a bowl and filled it with soup for Jiang Hua. "Miss, you must be hungry. We're all at home, so please don't be so formal with the young lady. You still have a long way to go, so you should eat more now."

"The young lady is too thin."

"The school has been calling our home lately, saying you're skipping classes and not paying attention in class. Have you gotten into trouble again?"

Jiang Weiguo didn't touch his chopsticks, as if he was waiting for someone. Jiang Hua simply picked up some food and handed it to him. "No, it's just a small matter. I can handle it myself."

"Sir, the son-in-law has arrived."

Jiang Hua was surprised. Wasn't he supposed to be taking Song Qingran back to their home? How come he still had time to come over?

Pei Zhan got out of the back passenger seat, a suit jacket draped over his arm, revealing a navy blue striped shirt underneath. As he walked into the entryway, Jiang Hua should have been running happily to his side. But now, Jiang Hua was remarkably calm, even appearing indifferent, and continued drinking her soup.

"What, haven't you made up yet?" Jiang Weiguo suddenly asked.

Jiang Hua made an excuse, saying, "I'm still recovering from my last cold, so I'm not in the mood right now."

"Have you been to the hospital? The temperature has been dropping quickly at night lately, so wear more clothes and avoid going out with shady people. Your health is important."

"Take her medicine first. If her fever hasn't subsided by tonight, I'll take Huahua to the hospital." Pei Zhan sat down next to Jiang Hua, who remained silent and didn't even glance at him.

"You've had surgery since you were little, so you're physically weak. A cold can take you ten days or half a month to recover. Take some medicine after you finish eating and see." After saying this with concern, she turned to look at Pei Zhan to the side.

"Did you look at the project proposal I gave you yesterday? Do you think you can take it on? If you can, you can invest some money in it, even if it's just to do a favor. That construction group was founded by Huahua's uncles and aunts. They're having cash flow problems right now, so we can help them out as much as we can."

Pei Zhan considerately picked up some food for Jiang Hua, and said, "Mm."

After that, they talked about work, and Jiang Hua ate quietly, unable to get a word in edgewise.

Tired of listening, I simply ate something and went upstairs.

Knowing these two people, once they start talking about work, they can go on and on, it can't end in less than half an hour.

Xu Qiulan found a set of autumn pajamas in the dressing room. Even though it was summer, Jiang Hua was already wearing long sleeves. "Miss, the bath water is ready. Remember not to bathe for too long."

"I understand, Aunt Xu... I'm not a child anymore. You can go out now, I'm tired and want to rest."

After the car accident, Jiang Hua always felt more tired than usual.

"If you feel uncomfortable, remember to press the bell."

"Know it."

There are bells in almost every corner of the hallway, passageway, and room in my house, just in case I have a sudden heart attack, so I can get immediate help.

Two years ago, one night, my father suddenly suffered a heart attack while he was home alone. Fortunately, my mother discovered it early and rushed him to the hospital. Just in case, the family also had a set of medical equipment for heart surgery.

The same was true in Jiang Hua's room; emergency call buttons could be pressed anywhere within easy reach.

She took off her long dress, but the zipper at the back seemed to be stuck. Jiang Hua couldn't pull the zipper down. Suddenly, a burning sensation made Jiang Hua quickly withdraw her hand. She turned around, but the man's hand held her captive, leaving Jiang Hua with no way to resist. "So fast, you've already found someone else?"

“Huahua…we’re not divorced yet.”

Unable to break free, Jiang Hua simply stopped struggling. The dangerous aggression emanating from him was filled with extreme possessiveness.

"Wouldn't it be better if we each did our own thing and didn't bother each other?" But thinking about his hands, his behavior, and how he had done the same thing to another woman, Jiang Hua felt a wave of physical nausea. She turned around and pushed him away, her eyes filled with undisguised disgust. "Then don't touch Song Qingran's hand, touch mine!"

"Pei Zhan, you don't have mysophobia, but I do!"

"You know, I don't like things that other people have touched; I find them disgusting."

Jiang Hua would never wear clothes a second time if they had been worn once and had any flaws.

The same goes for the high heels in her closet; once they're worn out, no matter how expensive or good they are... she throws them away!

The more she loved Pei Zhan before, the more she now loathed everything about him.

Song Qingran is someone he has always cherished and held dear, someone he can't bear to touch. She is the girl he deeply loves, and she is also his bottom line!

He said it himself!

After saying that, Jiang Hua turned and went into the bathroom, leaving him with a cold back view, and locked the door behind her.
