The Otherworldly Journey of a Quick Transmigrator
Chapter 213 Western Fantasy Continent 2
Su Yuanyuan could tell from its size that it wasn't an Eastern dragon. Although she was a little disappointed, she thought to herself that something was better than nothing.
[System, now that I've subdued this dragon's soul, does that mean it's also considered part of my contract?]
[Yes, host.]
Su Yuanyuan excitedly patted Sebastian, then immediately squatted down and channeled magic power into the magic circle, while Sebastian stood beside her to protect her.
"Roar!~"
Once the dragon took shape, a loud roar resounded through the sky. Fortunately, Su Yuanyuan had set up a barrier around her, otherwise she would have been captured before she could subdue the dragon.
The dragon spread its wings, and even though it was in a spirit state, the grating sound of metal scraping together could still be heard.
Su Yuanyuan clasped her hands together and chanted incantations. A faint blue light shone from the magic circle, forming a semi-circular transparent dome that trapped the dragon inside.
It may have sensed danger, because it began flapping its wings, trying to take off, while its tail kept slapping against the protective shield, causing the ground to shake violently.
Seeing that it couldn't escape, the dragon spewed a fireball in Su Yuanyuan's direction, and the fireball hit the protective shield, causing a crack.
Su Yuanyuan didn't have time to care about any of that. She bit her finger and dripped a few drops of blood into the magic circle, her incantation never stopping.
Sebastian took a step forward, his eyes fixed on the cracks in the shield. As the dragon continued to breathe fire, the shield finally gave way and shattered.
"That's it?"
Sebastian squinted and blocked the fireball, his clothes instantly catching fire. He casually patted out the flames; if it was only this bad, he could have easily blocked it.
Su Yuanyuan glanced at Sebastian during a moment, a slight smile curving her lips, before focusing all her attention on taming the dragon.
As the last word fell, the magic circle burst into a dazzling light, then instantly fell silent, and the giant dragon inside swayed and collapsed to the ground.
"Success!"
Su Yuanyuan stood up happily, and when she looked up, she saw that Sebastian's clothes were tattered, revealing large patches of skin underneath, and his face was covered in dark patches, making him look like a beggar.
Fortunately, he was not injured at all. Su Yuanyuan raised her hand to cover the corners of her mouth that kept turning up, and took out a set of clothes for Sebastian from the space.
Then, with his eyes fixed on him, Sebastian paused in his changing, looking at Su Yuanyuan with a smile.
"Miss, would you like to excuse us for a moment?"
Su Yuanyuan raised an eyebrow and looked back, her eyes still scanning him up and down.
"You belong to me entirely, what's wrong with taking a look?"
Sebastian tilted his head in distress, sighed as if in resignation, and quickly took off his clothes.
Su Yuanyuan's face darkened, and she quickly turned around. She had underestimated Sebastian's shamelessness. Hearing the chuckles behind her, she gritted her teeth and kicked the grass.
They came out in the morning, but now it's almost dusk, and the giant dragon has already been put into Su Yuanyuan's spatial storage.
Although she can't be a dragon knight, dragons in their soul form should be even harder to kill. Could she then roam freely in this world?
"Here you go. How did you feel just now?"
Su Yuanyuan took out two bottles of recovery potions, handed one to Sebastian, drank one herself, and asked him if the fight against the dragon was easy.
"Even dragons are nothing special. We can try other creatures later."
Su Yuanyuan glanced at him with amusement. When they came out, she said she was sending him to his death, but her attitude has changed so quickly.
"Don't worry about it for now. You should find a way to upgrade first. I also need to learn some more skills."
Su Yuanyuan walked at the front, followed by Sebastian and a group of guards as they entered Elder City. She stopped and glanced at a bookstore as they passed by.
"You guys wait here."
After saying that, she led Sebastian into the bookstore. The owner was an old man with gray hair. When he saw Su Yuanyuan come in, he smiled so much that his face was all wrinkled together.
"Your Highness, what would you like to order?"
Do you have any books about magic?
Su Yuanyuan's eyes swept across the bookshelf. They were all fairly standard books, but she had run a bookstore before and knew that some banned or valuable books would be collected.
"I don't know which one you want?"
The old man glanced outside, then lowered his head and asked in a low voice.
"Anything is fine, as long as it's related to magic."
He hunched over and went into the back. Su Yuanyuan wasn't in a hurry. She picked up a book from the bookshelf and started flipping through it. It was a book about alchemy.
Su Yuanyuan flipped through two pages and put it down. She couldn't learn this. She had tried to learn it in the world of Harry Potter before, but what was simple for others was completely incomprehensible to her.
Even if she followed the instructions in the book step by step, she could still turn it into a pile of scrap metal.
"Your Highness, these are all the books I have here."
The old man came out swaying in a basket, which contained three black books. Su Yuanyuan picked one up and looked at it; it was a black magic handbook.
I flipped through it casually; it was probably copied from someone's notes. It talked about the principles of black magic, and the other two books were about elements and the Holy Scripture of Light.
Su Yuanyuan raised an eyebrow and looked at the unassuming old man with surprise. He actually had the Holy Scripture of Light here, which contained records of healing and purification magic.
Even Lorian might not be able to get them. Sure enough, you can't underestimate anyone. Su Yuanyuan happily paid the money and handed all three books to Sebastian to carry.
When they returned to the castle, Celia came over and said that Lorian had sent another cartload of books. Su Yuanyuan thought it was just one or two boxes.
When she went inside, she saw boxes scattered all over the floor, at least twenty of them. Su Yuanyuan was completely puzzled.
"Are these all books?"
"We left it here as soon as it arrived; we dare not open it without His Highness's orders."
Seria bowed her head respectfully in response, then stepped back and stood behind Su Yuanyuan.
Su Yuanyuan walked over and opened several boxes. Inside weren't all books, but also the items with the light attribute that she wanted. Lorian had given her mostly jewelry this time, no wonder he used boxes to pack it.
"Sebastian, you can sort and put the books away. Put all the jewelry in my room."
"Okay, miss."
When Sebastian addressed Su Yuanyuan as "Miss," Seria glanced up at him, then lowered her head again when she saw that Su Yuanyuan had no objection.
The first thing Su Yuanyuan did upon returning to her room was to check the space. The giant dragon was still fast asleep and, judging from its appearance, it probably wouldn't wake up anytime soon.
She pouted. She had tamed it, but she couldn't use it yet. She wondered when it would wake up.
Su Yuanyuan had no choice but to walk to the table and look at the jewelry. The light attribute on it was not much, barely enough to withstand one attack.
She picked out a few items she usually wore, and put the rest into her spatial storage. It was great to have a brother who was a king; whatever she wanted could be delivered immediately.
Picking up the books she had bought today, Su Yuanyuan sat on the sofa and began to read. The first book she read was the Holy Scripture of Light.
Besides a lengthy proclamation of the Church of Light, it also included several healing skills. Su Yuanyuan's current physique prevented her from learning them, but she could save them for later.
