The Young Swordsman of Dalu
Chapter 68 Aygul is saved
Wenfei was surrounded by a group of burly men from the Western Regions. Upon seeing this, Ayiguli immediately knelt down in front of Kemir.
"Sir, please let my brother go! I'll stay!" Aygul pleaded.
"Whether he can leave or not depends on his fate!" Camille said fiercely.
“Sister Ayiguli, I will definitely take you away today!” Wenfei said firmly.
"Take him down!" Camille shouted.
Wen Fei leaped out of the encirclement and ran to the outside of the main tent. The others followed and pounced on Wen Fei. Wen Fei used his elegant and profound skills to knock them all to the ground. Kaimir shouted anxiously, "Get up! Quickly, grab him!"
"Wenfei, run! Don't worry about me!" Ayiguli said.
“Sister Aygul, today, I must take you away,” Wenfei said.
The burly men from the Western Regions got up from the ground and surrounded Wen Fei again. Wen Fei jumped up and stomped on them, knocking them to the ground with a forceful stomp.
"Useless! Send more men, I refuse to believe we can't catch him!" Camille roared.
The fat man called over many servants to help. They tried to overwhelm Wen Fei with sheer numbers, but Wen Fei used his lightness skill to jump out of their encirclement. When the group bumped into each other, they all fell over. Wen Fei laughed so hard he bent over.
"Go get more people!" Camille yelled frantically.
“No matter how many people you call, it’s useless! If you let Sister Ayiguli come with me today, I’ll still give you some face. Otherwise, I’ll make you regret it!” Wenfei said.
“You dare to act arrogantly on my territory? Even the Khan would have to give me some respect, let alone a greenhorn like you who has come from afar,” Camil said.
"Kamir, you're spouting nonsense again. Be careful the Khan hears you; you might lose your head." Yuchi Liang had already arrived in front of Kamir's tent, with Li Wei following behind him.
"Your Highness, have we in the Western Regions become so weak that we've been allowed to be ridden on by a mere brat?" Camille said aggrievedly.
“Alright, stop arguing. This man is the Khan’s guest. No one can harm him on this grassland,” Yuchi Liang said.
"He tried to steal my maid, Your Highness, you must stand up for me!" Camille said.
Seeing that Kemir was about to act shamelessly, Wenfei said to Yuchi Liang, "Your Highness, Ayiguli is my friend's wife. Two years ago, she came to the Western Regions to learn winemaking, but she was captured by bandits on the way and sold into slavery. My friend has been searching for her in vain and has been unhappy every day. Today, I have met her and I want to take her back to the Great Lu Kingdom for my friend."
After listening to Wen Fei's words, Yu Chi Liang walked over to Kemir and pulled him aside, whispering, "Kemir, let me tell you, this Wen Fei is now a guest left behind by the Khan. Do you know that his father is leading the elite army of the Great Lu Kingdom on his way to the Western Regions? If something happens to him here, do you think we will pay a heavy price? Do you think the Khan will still spare you out of old friendship? Giving him a mere female slave will make him owe you a favor and make the Khan value you even more. Kemir, you decide which is more important."
“I’m not convinced,” Camille said.
"Alright! There's plenty of time in the future, just be more magnanimous." Yu Chi Liang patted Kemir's belly and said.
Kemir sighed and said, "When have I, Kemir, ever suffered such humiliation? Fine! I'll give Aygul to him."
Camille walked up to Wenfei, who stared straight at him, looking like he was determined to fight to the death.
"Alright! For the sake of the Khan and the Prince, I'll let you take Ayiguli away. We'd better never see each other again!" Kemir said angrily.
“Me too! Sister Ayiguli, let’s go!” Wenfei said.
Aygul looked at Kaimir in disbelief. Li Wei stepped forward, grabbed her arm, and said, "Sister Aygul, let's go!"
Wen Fei and the others returned to Yu Chi Liang's tent. Ayiguli hugged Li Wei gratefully and said, "I'm really free! I'm free! I can finally go back to the Northern Frontier to see Sang Ziqi."
“Yes, Sister Ayiguli, Brother Sang will be very happy to see you,” Wenfei said with a smile.
“You should stay here with me for the time being and try not to wander around. You don’t know Camille well; he’s very cunning. I’m afraid he might do something bad behind my back,” Yuchi Liang said.
“Thank you, Your Highness! I can’t stay here for nothing. I can do anything,” Aygul said gratefully.
"Do as you please, child!" Yu Chi Liang said.
"Thank you, Uncle!" Li Wei said.
"The Khan wants to see Wenfei, which must be related to Wenfei's father. However, the Khan knows that you are Yuchi Yu's daughter," Yuchi Liang said.
"So what if I know, Uncle?" Li Wei asked, puzzled.
"It's a long story. Your mother went to the Great Lu Kingdom to escape her arranged marriage with the Khan. Later, she met your father and married him," Yuchi Liang said.
"Is that so? I had no idea," Li Wei said in surprise.
"Let's go see the Khan. When the Khan asks you questions, be careful what you say," Yuchi Liang said.
Yuchi Liang led Wenfei and Li Wei to the Khan's tent. The Khan was reading a memorial, and when he saw them arrive, he put it down.
"You've arrived." Naburu fixed his gaze on Li Weishi.
"Khan!" they exclaimed in unison.
“You are Yuchi Yu’s daughter. You look just like your mother,” Na Bulu said.
“That’s what my family says too,” Li Wei said.
"Is Yuchi Yu living well?" Nabulu asked.
“My mother is doing well,” Li Wei said.
"Wenfei, where is your father and his army?" Nabulu asked.
"Khan, since you have already issued the decree to withdraw your troops, our Great Lu Kingdom cannot act unreasonably. I have already sent a message by carrier pigeon to have my father set up camp on the spot," Wen Fei said.
“Excellent! I heard you found your friend’s wife in Kamir,” Nabru said.
"Yes, Khan. We were able to bring her back because of your remaining influence; your prestige among the people of the Western Regions is truly immense!" Wenfei said.
“What does ‘gaga’ mean?” Naburu asked.
"That's really impressive!" Wenfei said.
"If you need anything here, Prince Yuchi can help you. Stay a few more days, and you can leave or stay as you please," Nabulu said.
"Thank you, Khan!"
Wenfei and the others returned to the main tent and happily told Ayiguli, "Sister Ayiguli, we are about to leave the Western Regions. You will soon see Brother Sang, whom you have been thinking about day and night. I have already sent him a message by carrier pigeon, and I think he will come to join us."
“Really? That’s wonderful! My dear Sang Ziqi, I’m finally going to see you.” Ayiguli’s eyes were filled with tears.
Wenfei, Li Wei, and Ayiguli happily formed a circle and jumped around nonstop. Their joy flew out of the tent and drifted to the vast grassland.
