The Young Swordsman of Dalu

Wen Fei quickly arrived at the gate of Haifeng Manor. He did not dismount. There were still servants standing on both sides of the gate. The servants glared at Wen Fei as he rode on his horse.

"Why are you back again?"

"I want to see your Lord Hai!" Wenfei said.

"Our master is not receiving guests today!" the servant replied.

"I must see Master Hai today!" Wen Fei said again.

"Are you deaf? Our master doesn't receive guests!" the servant shouted.

"Master Hai! Yu Luwenfei requests an audience with you!" Wenfei shouted loudly from his horse.

"Stop shouting! If it weren't for my second young master's sake, I would have kicked you out long ago." A servant stepped forward to stop Wen Fei.

"I will not leave this place until I see Master Hai today, and I will keep shouting until Master Hai sees me," Wen Fei said seriously.

"Go and call the steward out! Tell him there's a madman at the door!" the servant said to another person.

A short while later, Hai Xin, the housekeeper of Haifeng Villa, hurriedly came out of the villa.

"Who dares to make such a racket at the entrance of the manor!"

“It’s me!” Wen Fei said, looking down at Haisin from his horse.

"Young Master Wen, it's you! My second young master has gone out." Haisin said with a grin.

"I want to see your Lord Hai," Wenfei said.

“My master is very busy today and has no time to see you. How about we meet another day, Young Master Wen?” Haisin said.

"It's today. I won't have time after today," Wenfei said.

“Young Master Wen, aren’t you putting me in a difficult position?” Haisin said.

“If you don’t let me in, I’ll go in by myself,” Wenfei said.

"Young Master Wen!" Hai Xin called out with difficulty.

Wen Fei didn't care about anything else. He leaped off his horse and flew over the wall of Haifeng Manor, entering the manor.

Haisin quickly entered the villa, shouting, "Young Master Wen, you're trespassing!"

Wenfei flew around on the rooftops, trying to find Hai Yitian. He landed on the roof and shouted, "Please, Master Hai, come out! Otherwise, I can't guarantee what outrageous things I might do."

The servants and thugs of Haifeng Manor gathered in the courtyard, watching Wenfei flying around on the rooftops, they were helpless.

"Bring me bows and arrows!" someone shouted.

"Go get the bow and arrows!" someone responded.

"Nonsense! Get out! Get far away from here!" Hai Yitian stormed out of the backyard.

Wen Fei looked at Hai Yitian standing in the courtyard and said, "Master Hai! It's really difficult to see you! Please forgive my rudeness!"

"Aren't you coming down? Do you expect me to look up at you and talk to you?" Hai Yitian said, looking up at Wenfei on the roof.

“That’s true! Master Hai is used to being high and mighty, how can he look up at me and speak to me? I’d better go down!” Wen Fei said.

Wen Fei leaped and landed lightly in front of Hai Yitian.

Taking advantage of Wen Fei's momentary lapse in attention, Hai Yitian reached out and slashed at him. Wen Fei dodged the blow by stepping back. Wen Fei then unleashed a series of attacks on Hai Yitian, who leaned to the right to avoid them. The two fought from the ground to the rooftops, from one courtyard to another, locked in a fierce battle for half an hour, neither gaining the upper hand.

"Master Hai, shall we continue fighting?" Wen Fei was the first to withdraw.

"I didn't expect Young Master Wen to be so skilled at such a young age! He truly lives up to his reputation!" Hai Yitian said, taking a step back.

“Master Hai, I didn’t want to return to Haifeng Manor, but there’s something I don’t understand, and it’s really hard to keep it to myself, so I had no choice but to come back and ask you for advice,” Wen Fei said directly.

"What is it? Tell me," Hai Yitian said.

"Why did you imprison Lu Maohan and his wife at Haifeng Manor?" Wen Fei asked.

"What a joke! They stayed here voluntarily because I offer them endless riches and luxury. They were greedy, so no one can be blamed for that!" Hai Yitian said.

“If you hadn’t forced Yingmei to marry you, how would they have ended up at Haifeng Manor?” Wenfei said.

“I like Yingmei, so I’ll make her my wife!” Hai Yitian said.

“But she already has Lu Maohan. How can you, the dignified head of the manor, do such a despicable thing as stealing someone else’s love?” Wen Fei asked.

"Yingmei stopped loving Lu Maohan a long time ago. It's because Lu Maohan is too greedy. He demanded a lot of money from me, which is equivalent to selling Yingmei to me. In less than a year, he squandered all the money and came to the manor to find Yingmei again. I only took in Lu Maohan because I saw that Yingmei was far away from home and had no relatives or friends around her. I didn't expect that they would have an affair behind my back and cuckold me, Haiyitian. Isn't this a slap in my face?" Haiyitian said angrily.

Wenfei heard that another version of the story had emerged. He knew that one of them, Lu Maohan or Hai Yitian, must have lied. He couldn't trust them and had to see Yingmei in person to find out the truth.

"What, you don't believe me?" Hai Yitian asked, looking at Wen Fei's expression.

"I want to see Yingmei," Wenfei said.

“Fourth Young Master Wen, Yingmei is a woman in my inner quarters, and she cannot receive guests casually,” Hai Yitian refused.

"Young Master Wen, you're back again!" Hai Huashan said happily when he saw Wen Fei after returning from outside.

"Young Master Hai, I have something to discuss with Master Hai," Wen Fei said.

“You’re looking for my father.” Hai Huashan glanced at Hai Yitian.

"Sorry to bother you!" Wenfei said.

"No need to disturb you. I'm very happy to see Young Master Wen back," Hai Huashan said with a smile.

"Master Hai, I need to see Yingmei. If you don't allow it, I might just barge in," Wenfei said.

"Outrageous! How can my Haifeng Manor allow people to come and go as they please?" Hai Yitian said.

“Master Hai, you know you can’t stop me. Today, I’m going to see Yingmei, whether she lives or dies,” Wenfei said.

"Young Master Wen, don't push your luck!" Hai Yitian shouted.

"I was just standing up for someone, why is Master Hai so angry?" Wen Fei said.

"We have distinguished guests at Haifeng Manor tonight. Don't cause trouble here. I don't have time to play with you. Please leave!" Hai Yitian gave the order to leave.

"I must see Yingmei today!" Wenfei said stubbornly.

"Haifeng Manor is supporting you all, are you going to cower like turtles now? Get out here, all of you!" Hai Yitian shouted.

As soon as Hai Yitian finished speaking, many experts wielding swords and knives flew out from all directions of the manor and landed in the courtyard.

"I heard that Haifeng Manor is full of experts, and it's true. Master Hai is really amazing. He actually managed to get these once-famous heroes to willingly become your henchmen. Wenfei admires him." Wenfei said sarcastically.

"Kick him out of Haifeng Manor. If you can't get rid of him, throw him in the manor's jail." Hai Yitian finished speaking and turned to enter the main hall.

"Young Master Wen, you should leave quickly! My father is serious this time!" Hai Huashan advised Wen Fei.

"Today, I, Wenfei, will experience the power of Haifeng Manor firsthand." Wenfei lifted his body upwards, stopping in mid-air.

The swordsmen of Haifeng Manor surrounded Wen Fei, preparing to attack him.
