The twisted and corrupted God of War was dressed in jet-black armor, and six different weapons had somehow materialized on his six arms. His massive body looked as if he could crush a tank with a single step.

But that wasn't the most terrifying thing. The most terrifying thing was that this enormous war god attracted the attention of everyone on the battlefield almost instantly.

"An anomaly detected in the ocean of consciousness! All consciousnesses have regressed to the shared dream realm!"

On Capet's side, the nuns and priests of the Lantern Dream immediately realized that something was wrong and hurriedly abandoned their attempt to infiltrate the mental network of the Anjou Gene Warriors on the battlefield. Everyone retreated back into the common dream.

However, the Southern soldiers who had no means to enter the public dream were stunned. They felt as if a breeze had passed through their consciousness. Then, some soldiers began to tremble uncontrollably, experiencing fear and horror. Their bodies stiffened, and they unconsciously retreated or even fled.

The impact on Anru was even greater. The followers of the Church of the God of War knelt on the ground, chanting the name of the God of War. In addition, most of the gene warriors began to lose their way, hallucinate, and even go mad and slaughter their comrades.

Compared to Capet's side, more ordinary soldiers deserted, and most of them were mentally unstable.

This deity, still dripping with black mud, seemed to have given everyone on the battlefield a consciousness test first; those whose will was not strong enough did not even have the right to look directly at the god.

Fortunately, because their consciousness was within the sacred Kara, the Lars Knights were not greatly affected. Of course, even so, the voices of the Lars Knights were quite noisy within the sacred Kara.

"What exactly did the God of War's followers summon?"

"Goddess above, is this really a god?"

"Isn't this just an evil god disguised as a war god?"

Although some gods, like the God of War, are depicted in a terrifying manner to project majesty, none of them are as terrifying as the image we see today.

Besides the black mud covering his body and armor, the black mud also corroded some of the unarmored parts of the God of War, revealing the bones beneath the flesh without any concealment. It was hard to imagine whether the flesh or bone was inside the mud-black armor.

"Don't panic, stay calm! The administrator of Lantern Dreamland has sent a message: we need to retreat for now, assist Lantern Dreamland in controlling the team, and protect our companions!"

Myron's voice rang out in the sacred Kara, and the Lars Knights snapped out of their shock and immediately began to act, praying silently to the goddess.

Fortunately, not many of the Capets went mad due to a lack of willpower. These people were quickly brought under control by their comrades. The Capet army began to fall into disarray upon seeing this twisted deity, but they were still able to maintain their formation as they retreated.

On the other hand, Anjou was not so lucky.

The followers of the God of War prayed incessantly at the feet of this enormous deity, chanting obscure and difficult incantations.

"Great and ruthless God of War, we have finally allowed you to descend to earth successfully. Please use your divine power to help your devout followers crush the enemies before you!"

A priest from the Church of the God of War appeared extremely excited, his face beaming with undisguised fervor.

At this moment, the colossal war god, who had been hesitant to act, finally began to move. His gaze, hidden behind his helmet, did not fall upon the retreating Cape army in the distance, but instead turned to look at the army of Anjou.

Compared to Capet, Anjou's army was far more chaotic, with screams and frantic shouts rising and falling. Many people suffered mental breakdowns, especially the genetic warriors, who seemed to have their brains burned out. After a brief pause, they suddenly went berserk and began slaughtering their ordinary comrades.

The twisted deity seemed to crave these things, crave chaos and disorder, crave despair and fear. The colossal deity acted, taking a step forward.

boom!

The priest, who had been so fanatical just moments before, died with an excited smile on his face, kicked by the God of War.

The God of War seemed not to hear the fanatical believer's cries, nor to care about the incantations being chanted by these believers; he simply moved toward chaos and disorder as if by instinct.

When the God of War lifted his foot again, the priest had vanished, replaced by a pile of "compressed files".

This action finally threw the followers of the God of War into chaos. These followers kept chanting the various names of the God of War, praying that the God of War would notice them, but the huge and twisted god did not notice his followers. This God of War seemed to be just a giant beast that moved according to its instincts.

In the Anjou army, even the high-ranking professionals couldn't help but retreat upon seeing this enormous deity.

It has arrived! The gods have actually descended to earth.

Is this really the God of War? Or is it some kind of twisted evil god?

Some high-level spellcasters could even sense that in addition to the ever-surging magic power emanating from this twisted evil god, there were also many sharp and complex emotions.

"Don't show your fear!"

Among the high-level professionals, an elderly spellcaster shouted, "This evil god feeds on human consciousness and emotions; excessive fear and despair will attract him!"

Of course, ordinary soldiers wouldn't hear these words, and even if they did, they wouldn't be able to control their emotions.

The old spellcaster was only telling this to his high-level professional companions.

For these high-level professionals, a month's salary is nothing to risk their lives for. Some even ran away on the spot at lightning speed.

These professionals seek worldly things like money and status, but what's the point if they lose their lives?

Some professionals had a vague understanding of what had happened, but those who actually stepped forward were either lying in the bio-pods of the tower, fighting against the pollution in the ocean of consciousness, or researching how to clear the black fog in Cape's laboratory.

And these professionals in Anjou, once they encounter real danger, will run faster than anyone else.

As the enormous, twisted deity moved toward the Anjou army, many people abandoned their armor and fled for their lives. But the more terrified they became, the closer they seemed to get to the giant deity. Many even inexplicably collapsed on the way, unharmed except for the look of fear on their faces.

They were terrified.

Immediately afterwards, magical energy surged around the distorted God of War. The people of the God of War Church knew that the God of War was about to cast a divine spell, a divine spell cast directly by a god.

Those cultists who had infiltrated the Church of the God of War were trembling with excitement; the end of this world was finally approaching.

Just when everyone thought this god was about to destroy the world, many huge vines suddenly appeared around the god, tightly binding the already twisted god of war. The god of war's movements paused, and the surging waves of magic suddenly calmed down.

And so, the main battleground between Capet and Anjou came to a ceasefire in a way no one had anticipated.
