"It's getting late, go inside. I'll pick you up after get off work tomorrow. And you're not allowed to move out again. You think you can get away from me like that? No way!" He then flicked Yun Shu's nose.

"I'm doing this for your own good! I was really upset when I listened to your mother and you didn't object!" Yun Shu pouted, feeling wronged.

“That was when my mom had an attack. I couldn’t add fuel to the fire, so of course I didn’t say anything to object. I waited until she calmed down before slowly explaining to her. My mom has high blood pressure, so she can’t afford to have too much emotional fluctuation.” Mingkun realized that Yunshu had overheard their conversation back then, which was why she was so heartbroken and determined to break up with him.

After hearing his explanation, Yun Shu realized that Ming Kun hadn't been against it at the time, but rather that his mother was ill. She immediately felt much relieved.

"Go inside, or if you stay any longer, I might want to eat you tonight!" He kissed her on the lips again. It was late, and he couldn't take her to her dorm because it was too late and not safe.

"rogue!"

"I didn't do anything, why are you cursing me like this?" Xiao Mingkun laughed, rubbing his lower body against Yun Shu.

Yun Shu immediately pushed him away. She couldn't be alone with this man; it was too dangerous. Just now, when they were talking, this man had his period again, and his penis must be rock hard right now. The thought made her feel ashamed.

"I'm going in!" After saying that, he ran into the hospital without waiting for Xiao Mingkun to finish.

Mingkun watched her retreating figure and let out a heavy sigh. He had finally won over his girl; there was no way she could break up with him. No one could separate his woman from him. Every word he had just said to Yunshu was true. He was willing to love her and protect her for the rest of his life, no matter what he became in the future, he would always protect this girl who had endured so much hardship in the past ten years. A smile played on his lips as he went home, feeling relaxed and happy.

After returning to her dorm, Yun Shu went to wash up. She thought about how she and Xiao Mingkun had broken up a day ago and then gotten back together. She wondered if Xu Ruo would laugh at her for it.

But she didn't care about her and went to sleep happily.

Mingkun walked to his car, smoked a cigarette, glanced in the general direction of Yunshu's dormitory, and then opened the car door and leisurely drove back.

The next day, Yun Shu received a call from Gu Cheng at work, asking her to go back to Gu's house that evening. Yun Shu was very unhappy, but she didn't show it in the office. Every time he asked her to go back to Gu's house, it was like he was giving orders. She wasn't his subordinate or his former soldier. It really made her angry, and she couldn't even eat lunch.

Mingkun came to pick up Yunshu before she got off work, but Yunshu asked her to take her things back to her dormitory first, as she needed to go back to her family home because her father had something to discuss with her.

Mingkun was overjoyed and immediately said, "Yunshu, take this opportunity to bring out the household registration book!"

Yun Shu's eyes flashed, she hesitated for a moment, but still nodded. Sigh! Going back would mean facing those disgusting people again. How could Ming Kun understand how helpless she felt at this moment? But his reminder made her realize that she still had to go back and see how to get her household registration booklet.

Mingkun originally intended to escort Yunshu back to the Gu family, but Yunshu refused, not wanting the Gu family to know about her relationship with Mingkun. Now was not the time for their relationship to be made public.

Yun Shu finally hailed a taxi to go home, while Ming Kun carried Yun Shu's daily necessities back to his residence. After Yun Shu moved back, it would be easier for them to see each other. However, Ming Kun was a little worried about Yun Shu, knowing that she didn't like taking care of the family. But he still had to go back to get the household registration book. Once they got their marriage certificate, they wouldn't have to worry about others separating them anymore.

Yun Shu looked back at the Gu family with some unease, wondering what Gu Cheng wanted to say to her. She could only guess that it might be because Yun Huan was pregnant out of wedlock. She wondered if he would scold her again when she got back, how shameless!

"What do you need me for?" Yun Shu asked directly upon arriving at the Gu family home, without bothering with any pleasantries with Gu Cheng.

Ignoring Yun Shu's impetuous tone, Gu Cheng replied, "I've been thinking about what happened to Yun Huan. It must be because I haven't been strict enough with you two. Now that you're coming back to live here, I'm worried that something might happen to you and Yun Le again." Gu Cheng said seriously, thinking about how busy he was usually, and how Li Meng was incompetent at disciplining the children, only spoiling and indulging them. Yun Huan being spoiled was the best example of this. He couldn't afford to let anything happen to the remaining two children.

"No, it's too far from the hospital, and I often have to work overtime and night shifts, so it's inconvenient to travel back and forth. Besides, you know what the situation is like at home!"

"Don't worry, I'll arrange a car to pick you up and drop you off at get off work, so you don't need to worry about transportation. The reason you're staying at home is because you sisters don't get along. Spending more time with Yunhuan and Yunle will deepen your sisterly bond. Sisters should support each other."

"No... Yun Le is alright, but as for Yun Huan, has she ever looked at me with a pleasing expression? There's something else I need to mention. I'm getting a permanent position, and the hospital needs my household registration booklet to transfer my work relationship. I also need to go back to school to transfer my personnel file." Yun Shu's eyes darted around as she brought up the matter of getting the household registration booklet.

"Do I need a household registration booklet to get promoted?" Gu Cheng asked, frowning.

"Otherwise, why would I need a household registration booklet?" Yun Shu retorted unhappily.

Seeing that she didn't seem to be lying, and that she had no other use for the household registration book—neither because she wanted to transfer her household registration since she hadn't bought a house, nor because she wanted to get married since she didn't have a boyfriend—Gu Cheng replied, "Okay! But you have to move back to the Gu family home!"

Yun Shu wanted to object, but considering that she needed to get the household registration book, she decided to give in to him for now and move out of the Gu family after the marriage certificate was issued. Gu Cheng couldn't watch her 24 hours a day!

Yun Shu stayed at the Gu family's house that night, while Li Meng and Yun Le stayed at the hospital with Yun Huan. Yun Huan wouldn't be discharged until tomorrow, and Yun Shu was happy to be free since she didn't see them.

The next morning, Gu Cheng gave the household registration book to Yun Shu. Yun Shu was still somewhat incredulous when she received it; this way, she and Ming Kun could secretly register their marriage and have a clandestine wedding. She also remembered the agreement she had signed with her grandfather: as long as she didn't want the Gu family's property, Li Meng and her daughters would be even more willing to keep their children out of the Gu family.

Yun Shu took her household registration book and left the Gu family home immediately. She then asked the hospital for half a day off and called Xiao Mingkun to ask if he needed to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Upon hearing Yun Shu mention the Civil Affairs Bureau, Ming Kun immediately understood that Yun Shu had received her household registration booklet. He was surprised that it had gone so smoothly; he had thought it would take several more days. So, he happily turned his car around on his way to work, went home to get the booklet, and rushed to the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Xiao Mingkun lived closer to the Civil Affairs Bureau and arrived much earlier than Yun Shu. Both of them were from the city, although Mingkun's family lived in a remote rural area, but both could get their marriage certificate in the city.
