This is the first time.

Having written for eight years since 2017, this is the first time I've finished a long novel, and I'm filled with countless emotions.

First of all, I would like to thank all the readers for their companionship over the past year and a half.

By the time the book was completed, it had 400,000 favorites, an average subscription of over 10,000, and nearly 70,000 high-level subscriptions. Thank you all for your support.

Next, let's talk about the specific content of the book "Starting with Archery".

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the story's completion. The plot development didn't deviate too much from my initial expectations, so I don't think it had a bad ending, which is a fair assessment of the readers who have followed it this far.

However, starting from the mid-to-late game, the satisfying moments become scarce.

I'm good at writing exciting moments, I'm so good at writing exciting moments.

Eight years of honing my skills and writing millions of words have taught me how to control the thrill and the emotions. However, in the later stages of this book, due to a lack of detailed planning and the resulting aesthetic fatigue, it was not as "exciting" or as rhythmically distinct as the earlier parts.

This is my problem; before this, I had never written a novel exceeding two million words.

With the experience gained from this book, I believe I can do a much better job with the next one.

Next, I'd like to talk about my deepest feeling right now—anxiety.

In 2017, I earned only 600 yuan a month from writing books, but I was never afraid because it was what I loved most. Even if I didn't earn a penny, as long as I could write stories, I would be genuinely happy.

Today, I still love my career and am glad that I can stick to my original ideals. But as I get older and start a family, my anxiety is getting heavier.

I remember back in 23, I didn't write anything for more than half a year, which led to serious financial difficulties. It wasn't that I couldn't write anything.

For a professional novelist, writing is too easy, and earning enough to live on is not difficult for me either.

But I have an obsessive-compulsive requirement for myself—to make progress.

If I can't make progress, I'd rather stop writing and not earn a penny than repeat the same path and exchange my precious time for money.

So it wasn't until 24, when I felt I could make the transition and that I was ready, that I came to Qidian to start writing and publish this book.

This achievement is unremarkable in a field full of top talents, but for me, it is undoubtedly a huge step forward in my successful transformation.

Learning is like rowing upstream.

This statement also applies to novelists.

My goals are very ambitious, so ambitious that I would spend my whole life pursuing them, which leads to constant anxiety.

The same applies to the next book.

I must improve.

If I can better grasp the pacing and exciting moments in the early stages, I will strive to surpass myself in the mid-to-late game. I will only start writing once I am confident that I can achieve this.

I've been thinking about two specific themes for the past six months.

I. The Jianghu and the Imperial Court.

This is actually my comfort zone, but I'm a little tired of period dramas. I'll probably only write about something that excites me.

II. Cyberpunk.

It's a niche subject, and not many people write about it. Even when a great author writes it, the final result is far inferior to their previous book.

But I think this subject has endless potential.

And I really like the core of Cyber Future.

However, the specifics depend on whether we can find a good idea.

These are a few words from my heart to you readers as this book comes to an end.

Thank you again for your support!
