A poem titled "Ode to Clouds" circulated among the various states.

In the southwest there is a city called Yunzhi, which covers an area of several hundred li.

In the north there is the Kunpeng Road, which connects three routes for travel;

Located south of the sea, its salt trade is vital to the nation's survival.

The wall is over three zhang high, and the corner tower overlooks the platform.

The city was bustling, with willows and painted bridges, green curtains and silver-paved roads.

The city was filled with pearls and jewels, and every household was overflowing with silk and brocade; it was an unpara

The people live in peace and tranquility, the Qiang flute plays in the clear weather, songs and dances fill the air, and doors are left unlocked at night.

A pearl shines in the sky, as bright as day, a city that never sleeps.

The journey from Yunzhi to Anshun by fast horse takes about two days. Yunzhi is an independent city with only one main road connecting it to Anshun. At the junction of Anshun and the main road, there are two roads leading to Xipan and Nanyue respectively. Visitors from any country must take the Kunpeng Road.

The main road was wider than ordinary official roads and paved with cement. Its natural light gray surface was exceptionally smooth, leading many first-time visitors to mistake it for a road paved with silver. Because it was connected to the outside world by only one road, and surrounded by mountains, it was enclosed yet served as an excellent protective barrier.

There is only one small inn on the way to Yunzhi for travelers to rest and replenish supplies. If you miss it, you can only find a place to stay at the local temple or in the forest.

As the sun set, Yang Jianwu and his group of six arrived at the Earth God Temple. They had set off early that morning, but had been delayed by a shallow pit they discovered along the way. It was clearly man-made, presumably someone had their eye on Yunzhi's path and wanted to steal some of its secrets for research. Yang Jianwu wrote a letter and sent it to Dianzi to investigate, which caused the delay.

"Young Master, let's make do here tonight and continue our journey tomorrow," Luo Li said to the carriage as he stopped the carriage.

The curtain was rolled up, and Yang Jianwu, dressed in white men's clothing, bowed and came out. He looked at the sky and said, "Rest tonight, we'll set off tomorrow. Luo Li, go hunt two pheasants. Zi Ping, Mu Jin, check if there are any mushrooms or wild vegetables in the nearby mountains, and be careful. Qing Dai, start cooking and prepare dinner. Song Yin, come with me to the temple to pack up." After giving these instructions, he led Song Yin into the local temple.

As darkness fell, a fire burned in the middle of the earth god temple, with a pot hanging above it. Qingdai watched the fire as water boiled.

Song Yin added a thin blanket to the haystack before letting Yang Jianwu rest on it. Yang Jianwu wasn't actually spoiled, but she felt warm inside when someone cared about her, and she didn't refuse.

"Master, we're back." Before they even entered the temple gate, they heard Mu Jin's cheerful voice.

Yang Jianwu raised an eyebrow. Of these girls, apart from Qingdai who was usually quite boisterous, the other three were rather composed. For Mujin to be so excited, there must be some important discovery. She briskly got up and walked out of the temple gate, only to see Mujin holding a plant and waving at her.

Yang Jianwu completely ignored her surroundings, her eyes fixed on the glittering plant in Mu Jin's hand.

Just as Mu Jin ran up to Yang Jianwu and was about to speak, she felt her hand go empty; the plant was already in Yang Jianwu's hand.

First, he pouted, then fawned over Yang Jianwu's arm and grinned slyly, "Miss, aren't I amazing? I found it as soon as I stepped out the door." He then raised his eyebrows smugly.

Yang Jianwu pinched Mu Jin's cheek and praised, "Not bad, I like it."

Mu Jin blushed and scolded, "Miss, you're being a scoundrel again."

Yang Jianwu stopped teasing the hibiscus and carefully examined the plant in her hand—a reddish-yellow unicorn.

Yellow ginseng is relatively common and is a frequently used medicine in Dongli. It cools the blood, stops bleeding, and can also treat snake bites. Red ginseng, however, is rare and can only be found in the forest of Yunzhi. Its effects of clearing heat, reducing swelling, and detoxifying are more than ten times stronger than yellow ginseng. Most importantly, it does not require other medicinal materials to neutralize its properties and can be used alone, similar to a pill.

Yang Jianwu actually had many precious medicines hidden in his space, but in this era of scarce medicinal materials, who would complain about having too many? If he were to inexplicably pull out a lot of medicinal materials from his sleeve in an emergency, he might be mistaken for a monster before he could save anyone.

With these maids around all the time, it wasn't convenient to take too much. He quickly processed the reddish-yellow orchid on the spot and put it into his sleeve, which was actually his spatial storage.

With a satisfied smile, he ignored Mu Jin and Zi Ping behind him and went into the temple on his own.

Looking at Yang Jianwu's retreating figure, Mu Jin sighed, "Zi Ping, when do you think Miss will be able to see a man with the same excitement as seeing a precious medicinal herb?"

Zi Ping looked at Mu Jin, then at Yang Jianwu, and after a moment of stunned silence, she gave Mu Jin a sharp rap on the head. "Miss is so outstanding, there must be many men who want to marry her after she comes of age. Why are you worrying about this?" With that, she walked into the earth god temple.

Mu Jin touched her forehead and stuck out her tongue at Zi Ping's retreating figure. She felt a little wronged for her young mistress. Apart from those close to her, who knew her true identity, in the eyes of the world, Yang Jianwu was still that useless young lady with a disfigured face... Would anyone propose marriage to a young lady like that?

Mu Jin shook her head, not wanting to think about anything else, and ran inside.

Qingdai and Songyin saw that Ziping was carrying the wild vegetables and mushrooms she had picked, so they offered to help her process them.

When Mu Jin entered, she saw Yang Jianwu sitting cross-legged on a simple couch with her eyes closed, resting. Knowing that her mistress did not like to be disturbed while meditating, she went to the fire to watch it.

Yang Jianwu appeared to be meditating and resting, but in reality, she entered her spatial dimension to begin processing the Red and Yellow Oolong. There are many methods for making medicine, and since arriving in this world, in order to obtain more medical points, Yang Jianwu had begun learning about traditional Chinese medicine while still an infant. She carefully washed, peeled, sliced, and ground the herbs, her processing techniques becoming highly skilled.

He glanced at the reddish-yellow pill-like object in his hand, which he had just processed, and then left the space.

Opening her eyes, she saw Luo Li returning with three cleaned pheasants, and in her other hand carrying a cloth bundle—undoubtedly containing yellow mud. She rolled her eyes helplessly. Everyone else's masters were enjoying themselves, but here she was, getting the better of everyone else!

Luo Li knelt down in front of Yang Jianwu, smiling innocently, "Young Master, would you do me the honor of making a beggar's chicken tonight?"

Yang Jianwu glanced at him sideways, "Beggar's chicken doesn't taste good if it's not marinated. By the time it's roasted, everyone will be fast asleep."

"So I caught three. Let's make some soup and have a simple meal first. The chickens are roasting over the fire. You definitely won't sleep well resting here. When you want a midnight snack, the chickens will be cooked. How about that?" Luo Li continued to try to persuade him, not giving up.

Yang Jianwu slapped Luo Li across the face, "Not very good."

He glanced at the expectant expressions on the four girls' faces, then resignedly began to deal with the situation, not forgetting to instruct Luo Li, "Go and dig a pit next to the fire to start a fire."

"Understood." Luo Li immediately took action.

Qingdai eagerly went to help, clapping her hands inwardly. Wow, it's been so long since I've had beggar's chicken, I'm so excited!

Yang Jianwu evenly spread the seasonings on the chickens, and also gave them a full-body massage, stuffing some freshly picked mushrooms into their bellies. Since there were no lotus leaves and she couldn't take out the tin foil from her spatial storage, she had to wrap them in several layers of oil paper instead, then cover them with mud on the outside. The rest was left to Qingdai; this girl learns everything slowly, except for food.
