Another World: The Failed Magician

The girl and her group struggled to reach a small, dark room.

The entire team was reduced to four people: a girl with a high ponytail, a blue-haired boy, and two warriors wielding long swords.

The girl frowned, because she clearly felt that those who were chasing them were more like cats toying with mice, constantly following them and injuring them from time to time, but not killing them directly.

The blue-haired boy noticed the problem and said to the girl, "Sister Xia Yue! Something's wrong with those people. They seem to be playing with us!"

Upon hearing the boy's words, the two martial artists frowned.

The girl, whom the boy called Xia Yue, gripped her longsword tightly and calmly said, "No matter what their purpose is, as long as we can reach the teleportation array inside the house, we can escape danger. Let's go!"

After saying that, Xia Yue picked up her longsword and rushed towards the small dark room. The blue-haired boy also aimed his longbow at the surrounding dark forest, constantly on guard against enemies coming from the shadows. Two warriors stood on either side of the boy to protect him.

With a whoosh, more than a dozen dark figures darted out of the forest.

A dozen men in black, each wielding a curved knife, blocked their path.

Xia Yue didn't stop and rushed towards the men in black.

Xia Yue's longsword emitted a deep red battle aura as she slashed at the men in black.

The dozen or so men in black, facing Xia Yue's aggressive demeanor, showed no fear and dealt with her methodically.

Xia Yue, an intermediate-level martial artist, was completely suppressed by the dozen or so low-level martial artists in black.

The men in black, in strict discipline, formed a battle formation and launched an attack on Xia Yue.

Just as the blue-haired boy was about to draw his bow to retaliate, Xia Yue's anxious voice rang out: "Qin Ming, go! You guys rush over there, don't worry about me, and tell the guild leader the information!"

The blue-haired boy saw a hint of pity in the eyes of the girl who was fighting so hard.

"quick!"

The men in black also noticed this situation and immediately sent four of them to intercept the boy.

But at that very moment, not only her longsword but also her entire body was filled with fighting spirit.

The girl suddenly charged towards the group of men in black. Unable to deal with her, the men in black had no choice but to regroup and send the four who had been separated back immediately.

The man in black quickly stopped the girl from attacking the company.

A fierce look flashed in Qin Ming's eyes as he said to the two martial artists, "Go!"

The three of them passed the black people and headed toward the small dark room.

Xia Yue watched the three people gradually enter the small dark room, a relieved smile appearing on her face. At least the team hadn't been wiped out by her; they had left behind a spark of hope.

Xia Yue brandished her longsword, recklessly unleashing her battle aura, but the increasingly weak battle aura clearly indicated that she was now at her limit.

The men in black sensed this and gradually shifted from defense to offense.

Just then, six arrows radiating blue battle aura shot towards the back of the men in black.

The men in black immediately abandoned their attack and turned to defend their backs, but the arrows were too fast, and two of them were pierced through the chest in time to defend themselves.

But the men in black reacted quickly, gathering together to guard the only way for Xia Yue to reach the small dark room.

Just as they changed formation, a blue figure flashed past them. The men in black assumed a defensive stance, preparing to face the unknown attack.

But contrary to what the men in black had expected, no attack occurred. The blue figure rushed towards Xia Yue and quickly drove away in the opposite direction from the small dark room.

Upon seeing the two fleeing individuals, the leader in black initially showed a hint of surprise before quickly regaining his composure and coldly stating, "Since they want to come back to their deaths, then so be it!"

After saying that, the men in black chased after Xia Yue and her companion in the direction they had left.
