Another World: The Failed Magician

Chapter 17 Apprentice Dharma Master

When Rhodes heard Dean White's evaluation of him, his idol, he felt a little annoyed, but after thinking deeply about it, he realized that his dual magic and martial arts cultivation did indeed resemble that of a mage wielding a greatsword.

White noticed Rhodes's hesitation and displeasure, took out a crystal and tossed it to him, saying, "You recognize this, right? You should know how to use a recording crystal. Take a look at its contents, and you shouldn't be so conflicted anymore."

Rhodes held the recording crystal in his hand. He knew its purpose, of course. Its purpose was simple: to record scenes that occurred over a period of time.

Rhodes fumbled around for a bit and found the switch, then turned on the recording crystal to watch.

A familiar figure appeared before Rhode; it was none other than Grand Knight Commander Kuwait. The Grand Knight's magic and battle aura within the crystal were fully unleashed, his hands gripping his sword tightly. A tension and seriousness Rhode had never seen before appeared on his face. Standing before the Grand Knight Commander was an old man resembling a giant bear, the terrifying aura emanating from him palpable even within the recording crystal. In a flash, the old man charged towards Kuwait. Facing the old man's attack, Kuwait could only barely defend himself with his armor and greatsword. The old man, however, seemed to be toying with Kuwait, his attacks effortless, his fists constantly moving across Kuwait's armor and body.

As expected, Grand Knight Kuwait fell to the old man's fists in the end. The final scene of the crystal, with the disheveled Kuwait slumped on the ground, was a stark contrast to the leisurely old man standing to the side.

The old man who fought against Kuwait in the Crystal Records was none other than the kind-looking Dean White.

After reading the recording crystal, Rhodes returned it to the dean. After a moment, he looked at the old man with great respect and said, "Dean, it was wrong of me to question you earlier. How do you think I should improve my dual cultivation of magic and martial arts?" He then handed the booklet containing the records of dual cultivation of magic and martial arts to the dean.

Dean White took the crystal back, smiled and nodded, saying, "It's alright, this is simple. You can just follow me to cultivate."

As time went by, the sun slowly set.

Charlotte, under the shade of the tree, had already finished reading the nameless book in her hands for the third time, but she still couldn't make up her mind.

Just as Charlotte was still pondering, the door to the training room next to her was opened.

Mo Yun happily went to Charlotte's side and said, "Sister Charlotte, look! I feel like I've succeeded."

Charlotte looked at the excited Mo Yun and smiled. After observing Mo Yun carefully, she happily said, "Congratulations! You are now an apprentice mage!"

"real!"

"Mm!" Charlotte nodded after saying that.

"I'm so amazing!" Mo Yun exclaimed, jumping up and down beside him.

After jumping around for a while, Mo Yun asked Charlotte with some confusion, "Huh? Since Sister Charlotte can tell what level I am now, does that mean you are stronger than me?"

As she spoke, Mo Yun saw Charlotte pouting and saying, "Sister Charlotte, please tell me what level you are, okay? Okay?"

Charlotte gently stroked Mo Yun's head and said softly, "I'm only a beginner mage, just one level higher than you."

"That's already amazing! No wonder you're Charlotte!" As she spoke, Mo Yun waved her little arms beside her.

Charlotte's mood improved considerably when she saw the lively Mo Yun beside her.

But looking at Charlotte, a girl two years younger than herself, she had an indescribable feeling. She was only 8 years old and already a junior mage. With the talent that Mo Yun was showing now, his future achievements would definitely be great.

Thinking of this, a hint of bitterness, imperceptible to outsiders, appeared in Charlotte's smile.
