Quick Transmigration: Survive to the End
Chapter 585 World 43
“This is a fait accompli; there is no question of possibility,” said the Elf King. “The Eugene family has lost control of the rebels.”
Robert nodded and joked, "Perhaps the rebels even think the Eugene family are the traitors among them."
The Elf King didn't laugh; he simply waited for him to continue.
Robert said, "Traitors are like rabbits that dig holes everywhere; they're hard to catch all at once. What do you think, Wang? How about letting the Eugene family out as bait?"
The Elf King thought for a moment and said, "Go back and look up how to break the curse."
Robert nodded happily, bowed, and took his leave.
After Robert left, the Elf King turned his gaze to Stella.
After a moment, he moved his fingers, a gust of wind blew by, the lights in the room went out, leaving only the moonlight to stream in.
Stella slept soundly, and after waking up and having a meal, she went to Damian's place immediately.
Lucas sat on the sofa with a sour face, and when he saw Stella, he immediately turned his face away.
Damian couldn't help but smile as he said to Stella, "He couldn't stay awake and fell asleep last night. It just so happened that you and Robert finished late and didn't wake him, so he got angry."
Stella understood what he meant and raised an eyebrow, saying, "It's not my fault, Lucas, you fell asleep on your own."
Lucas wanted to hum in response, but then felt embarrassed and stood up, saying, "I'll go back and change first. Don't forget to go to the amusement park later."
Every elf has a storage ring, and who wouldn't put some everyday items in it? These clothes are definitely one of them.
Stella and the others knew that Lucas was just shy and wanted to go out and hide, so they didn't expose him.
After Lucas had walked away, Stella said to Damian, "Adolf is truly cured this time."
Damian breathed a sigh of relief, then asked with some curiosity, "Stella, did you see Adolf?"
Stella laughed and whispered about how she had deliberately teased Adolf yesterday, seeing him at a loss, and how the Elf King and the others had maliciously ignored Adolf's pleas for help.
Damian tried to hold back, but he couldn't help giving Stella a thumbs up.
“Adolf’s personality is too awkward. When I first arrived in the Dark Forest, you have no idea how stiff his expression was when he talked to me. I thought he didn’t like me.”
“And then,” Stella flew to the top of the sofa back, almost at Damian’s eye level, “was he already charmed by your cuteness, but just couldn’t say anything?”
Damian felt that her word choice was somewhat inaccurate, but he did not correct her. He quietly recounted some of the circumstances of his time with Adolf.
Stella felt that she and Damian were indeed good friends, as their methods of teasing Adolf were exactly the same.
They don't play those tricks like releasing bugs to scare you. To deal with a sprite like Adolf, just ignore his cold face, enthusiastically approach him, and test his limits step by step.
They're both experts at taking advantage of others and turning the tables.
Although Adolf has now recovered and Damian no longer has to rush to the Dark Forest, the two of them still had a heated discussion about how to make Adolf show the same bright smile as Anthony.
Robert stood at the door, heard the sounds inside, and stood there for a while, but didn't knock.
He shrugged. Never mind, it's better for him not to get involved in this kind of thing.
Seeing that it was almost time, Stella and Damian decided to go out.
After greeting Robert, they headed towards the amusement park, where they happened to encounter some of the newborn cubs.
Although it has been in recent years, the number of elves has actually increased by not much.
Nearly five hundred years have passed, and only three more children have been born, but compared to before Damian was born, things have improved by an immeasurable amount.
The three cubs are about a hundred years apart in age and have different attributes. They are currently receiving instruction from their respective mentors and have a fairly good relationship.
“Stella, Damian,” the cubs crowded around, “are you going to the amusement park?”
“Yes,” Stella replied, “where are you going?”
The older cub said, “Garcia said that as elves we cannot be ignorant of fruit or how to cultivate it, so he sent us to the plantation today.”
The cubs looked at Stella with sparkling eyes, their faces clearly saying "Do you want to come with us?", but they didn't dare to say it.
There's no other reason than that Damian's current height is already close to that of an adult elf, and since he's a dark elf, his demeanor when he puts on a stern face is still quite convincing to cubs.
The cubs dared to pull Lucas's hair and climb on him to play, but they didn't dare to misbehave in front of Damian.
Stella knew that Damian was just used to it and it wasn't directed at them; he actually really liked the elf cubs.
If she hadn't already made plans with Lucas, Stella would have been happy to bring Damian and the cubs along to play, but today she could only regretfully decline, explaining that she already had appointments.
"Alright then," the cubs said listlessly, glancing at her again and again. Seeing that she really wouldn't change her mind, they finally gave up.
Seeing them quickly and happily run off again, Damian shook his head: "They don't even know to wait until we're far away before they start making a fuss. They still have a lot to learn."
Stella cupped her face in her hands as she watched him point out the shortcomings in the cubs' acting, and exclaimed, "Damian is really suited to be a guide."
Although the elves all loved the innocent joy of the cubs, Stella felt that Damian's teaching methods might be better for them.
This is not a continent without danger; eternal happiness depends on survival.
Placing all the burden on the Elf King's protection is placing far too heavy a load on him.
“I can’t,” Damian said, blushing for a moment before rejecting the suggestion.
He said seriously, "I'm going to live in the Dark Forest from now on. What elf cub would want to stay there forever?"
“I think Stella is more suited to be a facilitator, or a teacher, than I am.”
"Without you, I don't think I would have been able to grow into the person I am today."
"Oh dear," Stella covered her face and told him, "I'm getting shy!"
Damian was amused by her, his eyes filled with tenderness.
Lucas, who had been waiting for them at the amusement park entrance for ages, saw them leisurely chatting and laughing and hurried over: "I've been waiting for ages, what are you talking about?"
“We were talking about being a guide,” Stella said, her eyes lighting up when she saw Lucas. She flew up and stared at him for a while, making Lucas a little shy before she finally spoke.
“I think, in a sense, Lucas is also an elf cub that you, Damian, have raised from childhood.”
After all, this is a cub that knew how to cling to Damian from birth, making Robert turn pale and completely change his attitude towards Stella!
