Quick Transmigration: Survive to the End
Chapter 578 World 36
The Elf King sealed his reply and planned to send it out shortly.
He turned his head and saw Stella sitting comfortably on the sofa, seemingly doing nothing, and reminded her, "Damian has returned from the Dark Forest. Do you want to go see him? He's been talking about you for days."
Stella immediately flew away.
She said she forgot something!
Because Catherine had taken up too much of her time, she always returned to the Elf Forest very late, making it too late to go out.
Although she knew that Damian had returned, she had not met with him.
It was fine before because there was a legitimate reason, but if Damian knew that she had come back early and hadn't seen him yet, he would definitely make a fuss.
Damian has grown up a lot, but he can only be considered a sub-adult elf.
He went to the Dark Forest to guard it some time ago because an elderly dark elf had some trouble and had to go ahead of time to teach him some things.
Such lessons are rare and precious for Damian. Even if Robert, the facilitator, studies extensively, it is difficult to make up for the lack of real experiential details. Therefore, they haven't seen each other for a long time.
Just when everyone thought Damian would stay in the Dark Forest to take over the duties of the Dark Elf, the Elf suddenly recovered. Damian was sent back without having to fulfill his duties in advance, and went on to enjoy a carefree period of time.
When Stella arrived at Damian's studio, Damian was doing handicrafts.
Scattered gems, petals, and fabric were laid out there in a blatant manner.
Stella glanced at the size and knew without even asking that it was made for her.
She immediately felt even more guilty.
Stella silently landed to the side, without disturbing her.
Damian had almost finished what he was doing and was stretching when he noticed her.
“Stella, when did you get here?” Damian’s eyes were full of joy. “Come and see! I have a new idea. I made a new dress for you. Do you like it?”
“I love it,” Stella said confidently. “As expected, Damian, you understand my preferences best. I can’t even wait to put it on right away!”
Damian was satisfied with Stella's response, but also a little regretful: "There are still some details that haven't been dealt with, so I can't give it to you now."
“It’s okay, I can wait,” Stella replied. “Besides, I don’t have any suitable occasion to wear it right now. I’d be reluctant to take it off if I only wore it for a short while.”
Damian knew that Stella spent the day at Eugene's house, and that her clothes and appearance were somewhat different from when she was in the Elf Forest.
"It's okay, I'll make you a new one if you wear it."
"After I finish this set, I'll make some more that you can wear outside."
Stella didn't stand on ceremony with him at all: "Thank you, Damian, I'll be waiting!"
Damian put his craft aside and went to make tea for Stella.
“I obtained a special tea in the Dark Forest this time. Stella, try it and see if you like it.”
Damian's tea-making movements were very smooth, and his housework magic was used just right. In no time, the tea was ready.
Tea from the Elf Forest is generally amber in color, but the tea Damian brewed turned out black.
Stella took a gentle sniff.
It has a sweet and sour taste, unlike tea leaves, it's more like fruit tea.
Stella took a small sip and thought it tasted somewhat like mulberry tea.
Seeing that Stella curiously took another sip and didn't seem to mind, Damian took out half of the tea, divided it up, and handed it to Stella without her having to ask.
Stella took the clear bottle and carefully examined the tea inside: "What's this tea called?"
“It’s said to be called Underworld Fruit Tea, a specialty of the Dark Forest,” Damian paused, “but it doesn’t grow in very good places. The more dead people there are, the better it grows, so many creatures think it symbolizes bad things and don’t like it.”
“I remember hearing about it in a legend,” Stella said, having read many books and quickly finding the relevant information. “This fruit tea is said to be Death’s favorite; someone once used it to bribe Death.”
“My teacher said the same thing,” Damian said, referring almost specifically to the old dark elf, “but he said the legends recorded outside were incorrect.”
"The legend outside says that Death takes a bottle of fruit tea every year, allowing that human to live a very long time, but in reality, Death only gives that human half a day to settle their affairs."
Stella paused in her tea-drinking motion and asked Damian, "Is this tea only available in the Dark Forest now?"
“Yes,” Damian replied, “Only we elves do not reject it; other places, even if they existed before, have probably been completely eradicated.”
"However, even if they are found elsewhere, they certainly cannot compare to the quality of those produced in the Dark Forest. These fruit trees require sufficient dark energy to bear fruit."
"Other places don't meet these conditions, so even if they manage to bear fruit, it won't be very good."
Stella asked thoughtfully, "Are these fruit trees hard to find?"
“It’s a bit difficult,” Damian said. “I went with my teacher once and almost fell into the swamp and ended up shoulder to shoulder with the swamp lich.”
“You all need to be careful, let alone humans,” Stella murmured, her eyes sparkling. “Damian, do you know anything else in the Dark Forest that can extend lifespan?”
Damian didn't know why Stella asked this, but he didn't press the matter: "What's most abundant in the Dark Forest are actually poisonous, deadly things that extend lifespan..."
"Besides the legend of the Underworld Fruit, there are a few other things as well."
As he spoke, Damian gave her a detailed account of the various plants and animals in the Dark Forest.
Stella listened and summarized, adding the Underworld Fruit and the Dark Forest to the list of three things that could affect lifespan growth.
Stella wrote everything down, and only after parting ways with Damian did she return and tell the Elf King about it.
“If the Erskines are after these items, we can wait and see.”
The Elf King tapped his finger lightly on the table: "Stella, besides these things, there are also elves in the Dark Forest."
Stella paused, "Your Majesty, no way?"
