Yinyin made a special inquiry about the Prince of Yangliao while at the mansion, and also learned that he had a clever maternal uncle as his advisor.

Having made up her mind, Yin Yin sent someone to deliver a visiting card, hoping to pay a visit the next day.

Since the King of Yangliao was not present, it was Uncle Wen who replied to this post.

Once Yinyin received confirmation, she packed a pile of gifts, rested peacefully, and arrived at the door on time the next day.

Yin Yin originally thought she would have to wait or that she would only be able to see Wen Ruo, her advisor. However, as soon as she entered the door, she was directly invited into the reception hall, where the Prince of Yangliao was sitting.

Yinyin bowed and said, "Greetings, Your Highness."

"No need for formalities," the Prince of Yangliao told her to sit down in the lower seat, then hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say next.

Fortunately, Wenruo was right across from her and naturally asked, "Miss Chu, what brings you here?"

Yinyin smiled perfectly: "This humble woman is here on behalf of the Chu family to congratulate Your Highness. Congratulations, Your Highness."

Yinyin gestured, and Qingyun handed the booklet she was holding to the servants attending to the Prince of Yangliao.

"This is a small gift; I hope Your Highness will accept it."

The Prince of Yangliao glanced at it and then handed the booklet to his uncle, Wen, saying, "It's too precious."

The booklet contains all the fabrics and utensils that the Prince of Yangliao could use on a daily basis, but the most valuable items are an estate outside the city and a shop on the street.

Uncle Wen was actually better than the King of Yangliao. It was customary for merchants under the vassal kings to offer gifts in order to gain protection. The Chu family's offer wasn't the largest, but it was thoughtful and all of it was something the King of Yangliao could use.

However, this booklet also reveals that the Chu family was very familiar with the situation of the King of Yangliao.

After reading the booklet, Uncle Wen knew without asking what the Chu family's attitude was towards the message that had been sent earlier.

The presence of the Prince of Yangliao was a burden to Uncle Wen, but after he made two hints, the Prince of Yangliao still refused to leave. So he could only talk about cooperation with Yin Yin in front of the Prince of Yangliao.

Uncle Wen, for the sake of the King of Yangliao's interests, made an exorbitant demand, so Yin Yin naturally had to bargain.

The two were engaged in a heated exchange, but the Prince of Yangliao... the Prince of Yangliao was actually making things worse.

Uncle Wen meant well, but the Prince of Yangliao would occasionally blurt out something.

"Is this too much?"

"I think Miss Chu's suggestion is sufficient."

Yinyin felt that if she weren't still there, Wenruo would have disregarded social status and jumped up to beat up the Prince of Yangliao.

Just by noticing the occasional glances from the King of Yangliao, Yin Yin understood that the King of Yangliao had ulterior motives.

Yin Yin's smile deepened, leaving the already exhausted Wen Ruo utterly powerless to retaliate.

When the discussion ended, Wen Ruo didn't want to stay any longer. Using a cough as an excuse, she took her leave with a stern face and bid farewell to the Prince of Yangliao.

The King of Yangliao felt a little guilty, but quickly started talking to Yinyin again.

"After I arrived in Yangliao County, I heard a lot about you, Miss Chu. You were really managing your family's shop when you were only ten years old?"

Yinyin nodded generously: "Father trusts me, but only in the shops in Yangliao County."

In fact, it's not just that, but Yin Yin doesn't want to be too prominent, so she's only saying so much.

"That's quite impressive," the King of Yangliao said with admiration. "At such a young age, you've managed to run the shops in Yangliao County so well."

The King of Yangliao praised her a few more times and sighed, "Many people in Yangliao County praise Master Chu for cherishing his daughter. Now, after hearing what Miss Chu has to say, I know that the rumors are true."

Yin Yin's heart stirred, and she said as if it were an unintentional remark, "Father does indeed dote on me."

"Because I was afraid that my daughter would not have a good life after marriage, my father had previously said that he would find a husband for her."

Upon hearing this, the King of Yangliao said, "What kind of people can we find through marriage within our Li Kingdom? Especially those who are willing to stay in Yangliao for a long time, that would be even more difficult."

Yin Yin lowered her eyelids: "Your Highness is right."

The Prince of Yangliao glanced at her, then nervously pursed his lips: "I think Master Chu might as well change this request a little."

Yin Yin feigned a puzzled look and waited for him to continue.

The King of Yangliao cleared his throat and sat up straight: "Miss Chu, what do you think of the points that you have already separated from your family, reside in Yangliao, have a salary and a house, have servants to attend to you, and have a clean background?"

Yinyin almost blurted out, "Your Highness, please just state your own name."

The two exchanged a glance, and Yin Yin said, "I have remembered Your Highness's suggestion. I will tell my father about it when I get home."

Their conversation afterwards went much more smoothly.

When Yin Yin took her leave, the Prince of Yangliao personally got up to see her off, but she declined.

After leaving the Yangliao Prince's Mansion, Yinyin had finished her business and did not linger in the county town, heading straight home.

Ten miles outside Yangliao City, you can see the Yangliao River.

If you follow the river upstream for another ten miles or so, you will see fields crisscrossed with paths.

If you walk a little further from the fields, you will see a house built in the style of a fortified village.

Once you go inside, you'll find normal houses and courtyards.

"Miss is back," a maid in the courtyard hurriedly came forward to serve her, and another maid, Qingxiao, who stayed at home, came to report.

"After the young lady left, the master couldn't stay at home, so he went to the village for a stroll. He heard that he had met a strong man and praised him to no end."

"Oh?" Yinyin changed out of her outer clothes and washed her hands. "A stranger has come to the village?"

Qingxiao said, "Miss, have you forgotten? It was you and Sister Qingyun who ordered someone to save that one."

"The man was taken to Doctor Qian. Although he developed a fever that day, he recovered the next day."

"Dr. Qian said that he recovered so quickly because of his good constitution. Originally, Dr. Qian wanted to ask who this person was and where he lived, but he said that he had amnesia and could not remember anything. So Dr. Qian had no choice but to keep him for the time being."

Qingyun brought over some hot tea: "You seem to know quite a lot."

"Isn't it because Doctor Qian knew that you were the one who found the person first, so he sent someone to tell you what happened?" Qingxiao laughed. "Since you and Sister Qingyun are not here, I can only tell you later."

Upon hearing this, Qingyun asked, "Then how did you, sir, encounter this person?"

Qingxiao said, "This person has amnesia and hasn't fully recovered, so he's temporarily staying at Doctor Qian's clinic."

"When the master went to the village, he was helping Doctor Qian with chores."

"I heard that when the master saw him, he thought he was tall and imposing. He also tested his skills and thought he was good. He told him to recover his health. If he still couldn't remember his name or where he lived, he could come to our house as a guard."

“So that’s how it is,” Qingyun said to Yinyin. “It seems that the kindness you showed the other day has brought us a good guard.”

"In this way, good deeds will be rewarded."

Yinyin didn't comment and went straight to the main courtyard.

When Chu's father saw his daughter, he repeatedly told her to sit down, his eyes full of expectation.

"Yinyin, do you remember the person you saved a few days ago?"
