When she spoke, her voice was no longer the cold, magical tone she remembered, but became unusually gentle, even with the softness of an ordinary girl.

"I swear, I didn't mean to fight you," she said calmly, as if stating a simple fact. "I just came to see my classmate."

After saying that, she calmly took a small card out of her coat pocket.

With delicate fingertips, I twirl it and display it under the light.

It was just an ordinary laminated student ID.

The school emblem printed on it was all too familiar to Mo Bai—it was his school.

The name and number clearly printed in the name and class columns clearly show that she, the Cursed Witch, is indeed a member of Mo Bai's class at this moment.

Mo Bai's gaze was focused on the small card, scanning every detail.

Confirmed.

But this sudden "classmate" identity, like a jumble of chaotic code, instantly filled the processing center of Ultimate Little Bobo.

A profound sense of bewilderment enveloped him like a tangible fog.

The sense of power brought by the ultimate form seemed somewhat powerless in the face of his mother's gaze and this ordinary student ID.

His massive body leaned slightly forward, his gaze fixed on the other person, his distorted voice filled with incomprehensible bewilderment and a deeper sense of vigilance.

"What exactly do you want, you evil witch?"

The witch finally stood up, her faint smile as enigmatic as a thin mist under the moonlight.

A slight smile played on her lips, her voice soft and almost ethereal: "Nothing."

Before she finished speaking, she had already taken a step and walked gracefully toward Mo Bai.

In the instant she brushed past Mo Bai, she naturally turned to the side, cleverly using her body to block Mo Bai's mother's possible view.

In that brief blind spot, a faint purple light flashed in her fair palm, and a thick stack of papers with strange, shimmering edges appeared out of thin air.

Her movements were so fluid they were almost dance-like. Without a word, she shoved the stack of "review materials" into Mo Bai's hand, her fingertips even carrying a hint of irresistible force.

"These are 'review materials' for tomorrow's exam, absolutely accurate." She tilted her head slightly, looking into Mo Bai's eyes, her voice carrying a strange certainty, as if sharing an unspoken secret, "because I 'got' them from the office."

A cold gaze scanned the stack of papers of unknown origin in his hand, which seemed to still retain a faint warmth of magic.

Without any hesitation, Ultimate Little Bobo forcefully pushed the stack of hot potato-like "study materials" back into the arms of the evil witch with his huge palm, which made a slight metallic scraping sound.

The distorted sound carried a cold, metallic quality.

"I don't have a test tomorrow, thank you."

The witch of curses looked down at the paper that had been pushed back, her face showing no sign of anger.

She simply raised her small hand gently, her five fingers gracefully folded together.

The thick stack of documents instantly turned into a wisp of purple smoke, disappearing silently into the air as if it had never existed.

"Then we shall meet again someday," she replied calmly.

After saying that, she walked lightly past Ultimate Little Bobo and went straight to the entrance.

She stopped, turned around, and bowed slightly towards the sofa, her posture impeccable, her voice returning to its previous gentleness.

"Auntie, I won't bother you any longer, I'm going home now." Then, without hesitation, she opened the door and disappeared into the night outside.

Just as the heavy door was about to close, Mo Bai's sharp eyes caught a glimpse of dazzling purple light flashing through the crack in the door.

The light vanished in an instant, like a star that suddenly exploded and then disappeared in the night sky, silently announcing that the visitor had been instantly teleported away by a spell.

The living room fell silent, with only the heavy breathing of Ultimate Little Bobo.

Having confirmed that the threat was temporarily averted, Mo Bai slammed his enormous hand heavily onto the Ultimatrix watch face in the center of his chest.

The crimson light suddenly contracted, and the enormous alien body rapidly disintegrated and collapsed amidst the shifting light and shadow, eventually transforming back into an Earthling.

He stood there, his brows furrowed, his gaze like a sharp blade, fixed on the door that had just been closed and seemed to still retain the aura of celestial energy. His face was filled with unyielding solemnity.

Taking a deep breath, Mo Bai turned around and looked at her mother, who was putting away her phone, her tone filled with barely suppressed worry and reproach.

"Mom, how could you let strangers into the house so easily?"

Upon hearing this, Mo's mother immediately put her hands on her hips, striking a classic "mom" pose, and raised her voice a few decibels.

"Where is 'casual'? I checked her student ID carefully and confirmed her identity before letting her in! She was very well-behaved and even handed you her documents, but you, you came in shouting and yelling, almost blowing the roof off!"

Faced with her mother's righteous rebuttal, Mo Bai was speechless for a moment.

The student ID was genuine, and the mother's demeanor showed no signs of manipulation.

This strange normalcy only made him more uneasy.

He sighed helplessly, as if punching cotton: "You must have been bewitched by her. I'll call Xiaowen right now." As he spoke, he quickly pulled his phone out of his pocket.

However, his movements froze when his fingertips touched the cold screen.

The time displayed on the screen was already very late. Xiaowen was either studying hard under the lamp, making a final sprint for tomorrow's exam, or she had already turned off the lights early to rest and recharge.

Disturbing you so late at night is really inappropriate.

But when his gaze swept over his mother, who was unharmed on the sofa, the deep-seated worry in his heart still prevailed.

Without further hesitation, he swiped his finger and dialed Xiaowen's number.

The phone rang several times before it was answered.

The sound coming from the receiver was somewhat muffled, mixed with the faint rustling of pages. It was clear that Xiaowen was tilting her head and holding the phone between her shoulder and ear while speaking, with her mouth very close to the microphone.

"What is it?" Her voice carried a hint of weariness from being interrupted.

Mo Bai immediately gave a concise account of the evil witch's late-night visit, her mother's unusual attitude, and the mysteriously disappeared "review materials."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, as if they were processing this sudden information.

A few seconds later, Xiaowen's voice rang out again, with a calm, analytical tone.

"Hmm... could you check if Auntie has anything strange hanging around her neck, or if her eyes look dull or have a purple glow?"

Mo Bai did as instructed, immediately walked to the sofa, bent down, and carefully examined her mother by the light.

She was focused on the messages on her phone, her eyes clear and her expression natural. Her neck was bare, without any suspicious ornaments, and her pupils were clean and devoid of any strange light.

"Nothing at all," Mo Bai reported into the microphone, her tone tinged with helplessness. "I even got scolded."

The faint sound of turning pages came from Xiaowen's end of the line; she seemed to be reviewing her lessons as she replied, "There shouldn't be any major problems. Maybe the auntie is just kind and easygoing, and thought the girl was quite polite, so she chatted with her a bit longer and let her in."

This explanation did not completely dispel Mo Bai's doubts.

“That’s impossible,” he retorted immediately. “Normally, shouldn’t they take the study materials, say thank you, and leave? Who would let a stranger stay for juice?”

The sound of turning pages paused for a moment, followed by a soft "click" as the lamp switch was gently pressed.

Xiaowen's voice rang out in the slightly quieter background, carrying an unusually calm conclusion after careful consideration.

"Then there's only one possibility."

Mo Bai's heart jumped instantly, and her fingers gripping the phone tightened instinctively.

With his family's safety at stake, he held his breath, waiting for that crucial answer.

"White-haired fetish"

The voice on the other end of the phone was clear and resolute.

“......................”

There was a deathly silence on the other end of the line.

Mo Bai, holding her phone, stood frozen in place.

He opened his mouth, but found that all his rebuttals were stuck in his throat, and he couldn't utter a single word.

The answer was far more outrageous than he had imagined.

After a moment, he finally found his voice, which was filled with disbelief and speechlessness.

"Are you serious?"

“I don’t think the cursed witch has any reason to do anything to Auntie,” Xiaowen’s voice regained its usual calmness as she analyzed clearly, “She’s probably just looking for fun right now, filling the huge emptiness she feels after losing her purpose in various ways. Let’s leave it at that for now if there’s nothing else. I have an exam tomorrow, so I need to get some rest.”

Mo Bai wanted to ask more questions, but hearing the weariness in the other person's tone, she swallowed her words in the end.

Okay, goodnight.

As soon as Xiaowen finished speaking "Goodnight," a hurried busy tone came through the receiver.

Mo Bai stared at the disconnected call screen, then reluctantly took the phone away from his ear. The screen's light illuminated his face, which was filled with confusion and a hint of amusement.

He glanced at his mother, who was still engrossed in her phone, shook his head, turned and headed for the stairs, intending to go back to his room to get a change of clothes and take a shower.

As Mo Bai's figure disappeared around the corner of the stairs and footsteps echoed upstairs, Mo's mother on the sofa seemed to be suddenly awakened by something and abruptly jumped up from the sofa.

"Oh no! I think I forgot to turn off the gas!" she exclaimed, rushing to the kitchen and frantically turning on the gas stove valve.

The blue flames went out completely, leaving only the cold stove.

Warm water cascaded down from the showerhead, washing over the gray hair and body. The rising steam quickly filled the small bathroom, covering the mirror and walls with a blurry film of water.

He closed his eyes, letting the water slide down his cheeks, but his thoughts had already drifted far away, no longer in the present moment.

A taboo word, like a bubble rising from the bottom of the water, silently glided across his lips and teeth, only to be instantly swallowed up by the rushing water.

"A forbidden resurrection...?"

The misty fog blurred his vision and concealed the complex emotions contained in that whisper.

After taking a shower and changing into clean pajamas, Mo Bai, still damp and steamy, walked back up the cool steps to the second floor.

He habitually reached out, grasped the doorknob of his room, and gently pushed it open.

The door hinges made a slight creaking sound as they turned.

The next second, the scene in the room made his blood seem to freeze instantly.

The window was open, and the cool night breeze, carrying the scent of grass and trees from the courtyard, rushed into the room, stirring the curtains that were not fully drawn.

On that open windowsill, a slender figure sat leisurely with her back to the moonlight.

Her long, silvery-white hair, flowing like a waterfall, shimmered with an almost holy yet eerie luster under the moonlight, as if she herself were a source of light.

When those eyes, slowly rising from the shadows, met his gaze, the familiar, deep purple pupils, as dark as the starry sky, instantly made Mo Bai recognize the other person's identity.

"The cursed witch!"

A horrified whisper escaped his lips.

Mo Bai almost instinctively took a half step back, his muscles tensing instantly, like a cheetah poised to pounce.

"What are you doing here?" His voice was slightly tense with nervousness, his eyes sharp as knives. "Do you want to fight me one-on-one?" As he spoke, his right hand, which was hanging by his side, quietly slid behind his back, his fingers silently and quickly groping for his phone in his pocket, trying to blindly dial Xiaowen's number—his fingertips had even touched the cold edge of the screen!

However, how could such a minor action escape the notice of the evil witch?

She simply sat on the windowsill, leisurely facing Mo Bai's direction, and casually beckoned with her slender index finger.

An invisible celestial energy, carrying a faint purple hue, instantly enveloped the phone in Mo Bai's pocket.

The cold metal cube seemed to be lifted by an invisible hand, lightly slipping out of his pocket, hovering in the air, tracing an eerie arc, and landing steadily in the outstretched palm of the evil witch.

"Trying to call for reinforcements?" She weighed the phone in her hand, her tone playful, like a cat toying with a mouse.

The purple light, like a nimble thread, wrapped around the phone screen and easily unlocked it.

Her fingertips slid lightly across the screen, as if she were looking at something with great interest.

When the screen froze on a few pictures in the album filled with ancient and obscure spells, she raised an eyebrow slightly and let out a soft, unreadable laugh.

"I didn't realize you were so hardworking."

This invasion of privacy instantly ignited Mo Bai's anger and vigilance.

Without further hesitation, he raised his right hand with lightning speed and placed it on the Ultimatrix watch face on his wrist.

"Stop!" The evil witch's voice wasn't loud, but it carried a strange penetrating power, instantly interrupting Mo Bai's transformation.

She raised her other hand in a pause gesture, her purple eyes fixed on Mo Bai's poised stance, a subtle, enigmatic smile playing on her lips.

"I'm not here to fight you," she paused, her voice softening, taking on a seductive low hue, "I'm here to help you."

Mo Bai's fingers remained pressed against the watch face, and he remained on high alert.

He stared intently at the uninvited guest on the windowsill, his eyes sharp as a hawk's, each word seemingly squeezed out from between his teeth.

"What can you help me with?"

The witch's smile deepened.

She leaped lightly from the windowsill, her bare feet landing on the cold floor without making a sound.

The moonlight outlined her slender figure, and her silver hair flowed with a cold glow.

She took two steps forward, stopping at a distance that was neither too close nor too far from Mo Bai, her purple pupils gleaming with an eerie light in the dim light.

She tilted her head slightly, her voice like a night breeze rustling through a wind chime, clearly delivering that forbidden and alluring answer to Mo Bai's ears.
