Ben10: A Romantic Adventure with a Gender-Swapped Class
Chapter 559 Alien Prisoner
The air seemed to freeze, with only the Gobi night wind swirling fine sand in the pale beams of the searchlights.
Colonel Losang stared intently at Tian Mark's weathered yet calm face, which was as still as an ancient well. The silence weighed heavily on his heart, prompting him to break the silence first, his voice carrying a hint of barely perceptible anxiety.
"Why do not you speak?"
Mark slowly raised his eyelids, his gaze sharp as a knife, meeting Colonel Lausanne's eyes without flinching.
He spoke, his voice not loud, but like heavy drumbeats striking the bottom of a silent pit, each word carrying suppressed anger.
“I’m afraid I’ll start swearing the moment I open my mouth.” He paused, his gaze sweeping over the cold metal cages at his feet, his tone filled with chilling sarcasm. “This detention facility of yours is, to put it bluntly, just a prison!” He took a step forward, his invisible aura causing Colonel Losang to instinctively tense up. “Earth is a secondary world. We participated in thousands of Kelsey Agreements. You have no right…”
"We have no rights? Is that even a fair argument?" Colonel Losang's voice rose sharply, as if struck on a sore spot, filled with offended agitation. "You've fought countless alien terrorists; you should know better than I how dangerous they are!" He waved his arms, as if emphasizing an undeniable truth.
Mark Tian's gaze remained unwavering, growing even more profound. He retorted decisively, his voice carrying an unquestionable authority: "If we capture aliens, we should hand them over to the relevant authorities for processing, not imprison them for life! This is a basic principle and a responsibility granted by the agreement!"
"This is my responsibility!" Colonel Losang straightened his back, trying to use his duty as a shield for himself. "At least I can sleep peacefully at night without worrying about my family!"
The moment he finished speaking, a faint voice, as if seeping from the depths of the earth, carrying a hint of mocking coolness, pierced through the tense air between the two and floated up clearly.
"Grandpa~!"
Colonel Lausanne was startled and abruptly lowered his head.
The hard Cassidy super-metal surface of the ground in front of Mark rippled like water, and a semi-transparent, frost-covered figure—Frost Ghost (Little Ben)—slowly "floated" out, as if breaking through the surface of water. A flash of blue-white light, and she quickly tapped the watch face on her chest, transforming back into the bright-eyed girl in the green coat, landing steadily in front of Mark.
Xiao Ban, not bothering to tidy his wind-blown hair, spoke rapidly, his voice filled with shock and urgency at witnessing the event firsthand.
“You won’t believe it, there are hundreds of aliens crammed into tiny cells down there!” She gestured with her hands, trying to depict the suffocating scene. “The security system was shut down, but I’ve turned it back on.” She looked up at her grandfather, her large eyes filled with unbearable pain and accusation. “The conditions down there are inhumane! It’s like… like a can of herring!”
"They are not human!" Colonel Losang snapped out of his shock, grabbing at the straw as he retorted sharply, "This is not a hotel either!" He tried to justify the inhuman imprisonment by citing differences in species.
“It shouldn’t be a prison either!” Tian Mark interrupted sharply, his voice like thunder, carrying long-suppressed anger, instantly silencing Colonel Losang.
Mark's gaze was like a steel needle, piercing Colonel Lausanne's heart. "That's enough! Release them and hand them over to the plumbers for proper handling!" His words were resolute, carrying an unyielding determination. "Those who are approved will be released, the others will face trial! This is procedure, this is justice!"
Just as Tian Mark finished speaking, Xiao Ban had silently moved to Mo Bai's side, right behind Tian Mark.
She added in a low voice a number that was alarmingly precise.
"There are 744 aliens below."
The precise number caused Colonel Lausanne's face to drain of color instantly. He gasped in shock, a hint of barely perceptible panic in his voice.
“There’s something wrong with this! It should be 775!” He instinctively recited the number from his memory.
Xiao Ban tilted her head in confusion, her long ponytail sliding over her shoulder. She pointed to the bottom of the pit and said confidently.
"But the numbers on the electronic version aren't like that."
Colonel Losang's face turned ashen instantly, a flicker of fear flashing in his eyes. He practically gritted his teeth as he forced out the unsettling conclusion.
"That means... one of them escaped!"
As if to confirm his ominous words, a deafening roar of engines suddenly shattered the tranquility of the Gobi Desert!
Everyone turned around abruptly and saw that a small, inconspicuous white space shuttle, which had been quietly parked next to Kevin's space shuttle, suddenly spewed out blinding blue-white flames from its tail. The powerful airflow stirred up a cloud of dust, like a lurking beast suddenly awakening!
The youngest children react the fastest; their bodies act before their minds.
Like an arrow released from a bow, she turned and sprinted toward the white space shuttle that was accelerating and about to take off, her green figure leaving a striking trail in the beam of the searchlight.
As she ran, she blurted out the announcement with a mix of excitement and habit.
"It's time to unleash the might of the Divine Tyrannosaurus!"
Before she could finish speaking, the Ultimatrix watch on her wrist was snapped off!
A green light flashed, and Xiao Ban transformed into a ferocious tiger, his heavy footsteps causing the ground to tremble.
"Tiger!" That signature, wild roar echoed through the night sky.
However, upon seeing his transformed form, a barely perceptible hint of regret, as if he had made another mistake, seemed to flash across Tyrant Tiger's tiger-like face, but it was instantly replaced by a surge of fighting spirit.
As she continued her mad dash with heavy steps, she roared in a voice that made one's eardrums buzz, a kind of self-comforting, rough humor.
"Alright, Tiger isn't bad either!"
This dramatic scene made Kevin want to facepalm. He glanced at Mo Bai, who was intently turning his Ultimatrix watch and seemingly carefully selecting a suitable alien hero, and said with a mischievous smile (his voice drowned out the roar of the engine and the running of the tiger).
"Sigh, why does she like transforming into a powerful Tyrannosaurus Rex so much? Aren't you curious?"
Upon hearing this, Mo Bai stopped turning the clock face.
He turned his head, his gaze first quickly sweeping over the enormous object in the distance that was strutting around like an earthquake as it chased after the spaceship, before turning to Kevin.
He leaned a little closer to Kevin's ear, lowered his voice, and whispered with a hint of helpless amusement and knowing teasing.
“I’m not curious, because…” He paused, as if choosing his words carefully, or perhaps confirming a safe distance (after all, he knew how sharp Tiger’s hearing was), before adding in an even softer voice, “I guess she likes mindless power-based games.”
After saying that, he immediately glanced warily in the direction the tiger was running, as if afraid that its huge ears would catch his "comment".
"I'm leaving now." Mo Bai decisively ended the conversation, no longer hesitating, and slapped her watch face.
A flash of light appeared, and there stood a... tiny alien—Little Bobo.
Mo Bai looked down at her belly and short arms, then looked up at the white space shuttle that was already more than ten meters off the ground and was accelerating upwards. She couldn't help but complain in her unique, soft, slightly electronic voice.
"Oh, although I love to transform, it doesn't have to be at a time like this, does it? I want to transform into a ray..." Her big, round eyes were full of helplessness.
But despite his complaints, his little brain immediately started working at high speed.
Those round eyes suddenly narrowed, a sly glint in them, as if they had thought of a brilliant plan, and they muttered to themselves.
"That's not necessarily true!" As soon as he finished speaking, he slapped the watch face on his chest again, transforming into the ultimate Little Bobo.
Ultimate Little Bobo's body nimbly soared into the air, like a blue shooting star, and sped after the white space shuttle!
At the same time, the Tiger had already rushed to the rear of the space shuttle.
The spacecraft was already tens of meters off the ground, its tail spewing out scorching air.
Regardless of whether the other party could hear him or not, Tiger roared at the bottom of the spaceship with a super loud voice that could shake the Gobi Desert, his voice full of provocation and arrogant confidence.
"Hey! You missing alien prisoner, listen up!"
"You're not allowed to leave until the tiger speaks!"
"Because Grandpa Tiger is always at the forefront!"
"So don't move!!"
After roaring, the tiger slammed its powerful hind legs into the ground!
The sand and gravel beneath its feet exploded, creating a shallow crater! Its massive, heavy body shot into the sky like a cannonball! Before the spaceship had even reached a sufficient altitude, it precisely slammed into the spaceship's chassis!
"Thump!" A dull, loud noise! The spaceship suddenly sank and began to shake violently.
The tiger's sharp claws pierced the sturdy alloy shell like a hot knife through butter, firmly securing itself in place.
It proudly shook its head and continued to roar at the spaceship beneath it (actually above it).
"Is that all you've got, you spaceship thief!"
"Grandpa Tiger's abilities are extraordinary, I think I should share some with you, that would be fair!"
"Later, I will take back everything I gave you!"
"Are you scared now?!"
The deafening roar of the tiger, even from a hundred meters in the air, still clearly reached the ground, sweeping over Kevin and Xiaowen like rolling thunder.
Kevin looked up at the "spaceship pendant" that was full of violent aesthetics, and couldn't help but grin. He smiled at Xiaowen beside him, his tone full of relaxed enjoyment.
"To be honest, every time I see a tiger, I want to buy a bucket of popcorn and sit down to enjoy it," Xiaowen couldn't help but chuckle, but there was still a hint of worry for her partner in her eyes.
Ultimate Little Bobo had already easily flown to a height parallel to the spaceship.
He looked at the Tyrannosaurus Rex hanging on the chassis of the spaceship, roaring and wreaking havoc, and asked in the deep but relatively calm voice of Ultimate Little Bobo.
"Do you need help?"
"Help?" As if it had heard an insult, Tyrannosaurus Rex whirled its massive feline head toward Ultimate Little Bobo, its eyes burning with fighting spirit and filled with disdain. "Tyrannosaurus Rex doesn't need help!" To prove itself, it swung its free giant claw with tremendous force, tearing at the spaceship's hull!
"Screech—!" A piercing metallic tearing sound rang out! A large section of thick armor plate, along with the complex wiring inside, was forcibly ripped off by the Violent Tiger, sparks crackling and flashing!
"Because I can handle it with one hand!" Tiger roared triumphantly, brandishing the twisted metal fragment in its paw with an air of arrogance.
However, joy turned to sorrow!
The spot it just tore at was precisely the point of leverage that its other claw used to hold it in place.
Without support, the massive tiger instantly lost its balance!
"Aww?!" A short, startled shout, tinged with a hint of amusement.
Its claw, still embedded in the spaceship's hull, scratched futilely a few times, but could no longer stop the downward trend.
The heavy body detached from the spacecraft and began to perform a free fall at a height of 100 meters!
The night wind ruffled its downy fur as its massive form plummeted rapidly toward the hard, cold Gobi Desert!
"No way!?" As he fell, Tiger's signature loud voice once again echoed through the night sky, but this time it carried a hint of disbelief and panic.
But its indomitable spirit immediately surged up again, and it let out a final, stubborn roar at the invisible enemy (gravity).
"Gravity! Give up! You can't beat the Violent Tiger!!"
Ultimate Little Bobo shook its huge head helplessly in the air, letting out a sound like a sigh.
He glanced at the white space shuttle—thick smoke billowed from the hole torn open by the tiger, and its flight attitude had become erratic, clearly indicating it wouldn't fly for much longer.
He made a decision immediately, his blue body swooping down like a meteorite toward the orange figure below, which was baring its fangs and plummeting rapidly.
Rescuing that perpetually impulsive and perpetually ridiculous "Grandpa Tiger" is clearly far more important than chasing a doomed ship.
In the night sky, two figures, one large and one small, stumbled toward the vast Gobi Desert along completely different trajectories.
In the blink of an eye, just as Xiao Ban was about to make intimate contact with the ground, Mo Bai, like a ghost, rushed over like lightning and caught Xiao Ban steadily in mid-air.
Mo Bai's movements were fluid and seamless, as if he had anticipated this scene.
He held Xiao Ban tightly, as if he were holding the whole world, and then slowly floated down to the ground.
When their feet finally touched the ground, they both breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, they all changed back to normal.
"The boat has already sailed away, right?" Xiao Ban's voice revealed a hint of helplessness and frustration.
However, Mo Bai did not do what Xiao Ban did. He shook his head, then turned around and pointed intently at the dock directly behind him.
Thick smoke and flames billowed from the dock, indicating that a violent explosion had just occurred there.
"I don't think so," Mo Bai said with confidence and decisiveness, as if he had anticipated what was happening before him.
