Kevin's right leg, enveloped in iron and gleaming with a cold, hard metallic sheen, was already raised high, muscles bulging, brimming with brute force enough to tear steel apart, and it looked like it was about to smash into the tightly closed iron door like a battering ram!

However, Mo Bai suddenly cut in front of him, like an insurmountable wall, firmly blocking Kevin's legs.

"Hey!" Kevin abruptly stopped, the surging power forcibly suppressed within his body, causing him to turn his head somewhat unhappily, his brows furrowed beneath the metal frame, and questioned.

"Why are you stopping me?" He stomped his foot, the ground seeming to tremble slightly beneath his feet. His tone was a mixture of impatience at being interrupted and absolute confidence. "I can kick this damn door open with one kick! It'll save you time and effort!"

Sensing the dissatisfaction in Kevin's words and his directness, Mo Bai slowly withdrew her arm that had been blocking him.

The Four-Handed Overlord tilted his angular head slightly, as if organizing his thoughts or recalling a forgotten detail.

“I feel like something’s missing…” Mo Bai’s deep voice rang out, “I just realized,” he paused, his massive, armored fist clenching and unclenching slightly, “It’s missing a sentence.”

"Missing a sentence?" Kevin's metal mask reflected a puzzled light; he couldn't keep up with Mo Bai's leaping train of thought at all.

"Does kicking down a door need any opening remarks? Isn't power the best declaration?" Kevin thought to himself.

"What did you say?" he pressed, his rough voice echoing in the air.

Upon hearing Kevin's question, Mo Bai's lips curled up slightly. This subtle change created a strange contrast with his current imposing and fierce image as a four-armed overlord.

The next second, without any warning!

Mo Bai's thick, pillar-like right leg suddenly bent backward, his muscles tensing instantly, the accumulated power like a spring compressed to its limit!

Immediately afterwards, his massive body suddenly leaned forward, his right leg transforming into a blur that tore through the air, carrying the force of a thunderbolt, and slammed into the center of the iron gate with great force and precision!

boom--! ! ! !

A deafening roar erupted instantly! The seemingly sturdy iron door, gleaming with a cold metallic sheen, proved to be as fragile as paper in the face of absolute power!

It didn't even last until it groaned before the entire door panel twisted, tore, and deformed completely from the hinge, like a toy crushed by a tremendous force, whistling as it detached from the door frame and hurtled wildly into the dark space inside!

The ear-piercing noise of twisting metal, the rustling sound of flying debris, mixed with the sound of wind cutting through the air, instantly filled everyone's eardrums!

At the very instant the door was kicked open, a powerful, even slightly exaggerated, roar erupted from the Four-Handed Overlord's broad chest, loudly drowning out all other noises and clearly echoing through the suddenly opened doorway.

"FBL, open the door!"

This sudden, dramatic shout stunned the three people at the door, who were on high alert and on edge, for a fraction of a second.

Kevin's raised metal leg was still frozen in mid-air, and Xiaowen forgot to continue activating the celestial energy in her palm. The little Bennett's head that had been poking out seemed to tilt slightly—this turn of events came too suddenly, too... inexplicable yet with a familiar sense of absurdity!

"Uh... ah?" Xiao Ban seemed to have finally found his voice, and was the first to utter a bewildered syllable.

"Hurry!" Mo Bai's deep voice rang out again, urging him on without any room for argument. His massive body took the lead and stepped into the unknown space that had been forcibly opened and was filled with dust without hesitation.

Startled awake by the urging, Xiaowen, Kevin, and Xiaoben almost instinctively followed behind, rushing into the laboratory one after another.

However, the imagined fierce resistance, lurking enemies, sophisticated instruments, or traces of Vittoria Valida's madness... were all absent!

Dust particles floated and swirled slowly in the light filtering through the doorway, like countless tiny sprites dancing silently.

The interior of the enormous laboratory was astonishingly empty and eerily silent.

The space, once filled with various complex equipment and experimental tables, is now as if it has been brutally wiped away by an invisible giant hand, leaving only cold, bare floors and walls.

A faint, cold smell, a mixture of disinfectant and metallic dust, filled the air, along with... a deathly stillness of an empty building.

In the middle of this unsettlingly empty space, a figure wearing a slightly worn white coat, with a slightly hunched back, was facing away from them, slowly and methodically sweeping the mirror-like ground with a long-handled broom.

The broom swept across the ground, making a monotonous and rhythmic "swish...swish..." sound, which was particularly clear and eerie in the deathly silent space.

He seemed completely absorbed in his own world, oblivious to the violently kicked-down door behind him, the fully armed "uninvited guests," and the resounding "FBL open the door" that echoed through the space.

Kevin's body, covered in cold iron elements, took a step forward, his heavy footsteps echoing metallically on the ground.

His tall shadow instantly enveloped the hunched figure in the old white coat, still engrossed in sweeping the floor.

Without a word, Kevin's large, metallic hand, gleaming with an irresistible force, reached directly for the middle-aged man's ear.

He roughly ripped off the headphones he was wearing and threw them on the floor.

Immediately afterwards, the giant metal hand did not pause at all, its five fingers gripping the middle-aged man's collar with the precision of iron clamps!

Kevin's arm muscles bulged, and with a "rip" sound as the fabric was suddenly tightened, he easily lifted this ordinary-looking middle-aged man off the ground as if he were lifting a bag of light groceries!

Caught off guard, the man's feet dangled in the air, kicking wildly. His face drained of color instantly, leaving only a terrified pallor.

"Quickly! Where is Vitolvalida!?"

Kevin's sudden, violent interrogation terrified the middle-aged man.

He subconsciously loosened his grip on the broom handle, and the dust-covered broom fell to the ground with a clatter, rolling a few times before stopping.

The man tried futilely to pry Kevin's iron-like hand open, his throat gurgling as he managed to squeeze out a few words in extreme terror.

"No. 66, Jinshan Avenue"

This is a completely unfamiliar address.

Kevin's brows seemed to furrow even more, his gaze sharp as a knife, as he continued to press for answers.

"Where?" His voice was filled with distrust and urgency regarding the vague address.

However, before the man, who was being held in mid-air and still in shock, could have a chance to explain, Xiao Ban, who had been observing silently, spoke up.

Her voice was calm, even carrying a subtle heaviness, like a pebble thrown into stagnant water, clearly echoing throughout the silent laboratory.

Cemetery

These two words were like icicles, instantly piercing the air and striking the hearts of Mo Bai, Xiao Wen, and Kevin!

A cemetery?!

“You mean him…” Xiaowen’s voice trembled slightly as she blurted out the words instinctively, but the rest of the sentence seemed to be blocked by something, stuck in her throat.

Kevin was clearly stunned by the answer.

He stared at the trembling man in his hands; in those eyes, clouded by fear, there seemed to be only genuine sorrow, no cunning.

Kevin was silent for a moment, then his metal fingers loosened slightly.

The middle-aged man's feet finally touched the cold ground again, and he stumbled and almost fell.

He gasped for breath, still shaken, ignoring his disheveled collar, and instinctively covered his neck with trembling hands, as if the cold metallic touch and the terrible feeling of suffocation still lingered there.

After catching his breath, the man began to clumsily straighten his collar, which had been pulled out of shape, with his equally trembling fingers.

We were all shocked....

He paused for a moment, seemingly trying to calm his turbulent emotions, his shoulders trembling slightly.

"He was perfectly fine before...though his thoughts were a bit strange..." The man's voice choked with emotion, "and then suddenly...he just..."

He couldn't say anything more, and lowered his head even further, his graying hair falling down and obscuring his eyes.

An overwhelming sense of sorrow emanated from his hunched back.

He closed his eyes, his thick eyelashes seemingly dampened by something, and his voice was as low as a whisper, yet it resonated clearly in everyone's hearts.

“Let’s go…”

“He and I are old friends.” The man raised his hand and quickly wiped the corner of his eye with his rough sleeve, the action revealing an undisguised embarrassment and heartache.

"He's a messy guy, the lab's always a slob... I often help him clean up."

He raised his head, staring blankly at the empty, cold walls of the laboratory, his eyes vacant, as if searching for the figure that had vanished forever, leaving only endless loss and desolation.

"It's a pity I'll never see him again..."
