"Are you injured?" Chu Yun asked in a deep voice.

Chu Wenshu had several small cuts on the fingers of his right hand, and the back of his hand was red, as if he had been burned. These wounds had obviously not been treated.

Hearing Chu Yun's question, he hesitated for a moment, then withdrew his hand, saying, "It's just a minor injury."

Chu Yun frowned slightly. "Tell me honestly, how did you get hurt?"

Chu Wenshu pursed his lips and remained silent.

Chu Yun raised her voice, "What exactly happened?"

"It's nothing, I just accidentally burned my hand while making pastries." He pulled his sleeves up to cover the redness and swelling on the back of his hand.

"And how did you get the wound on your finger?" Chu Yun pressed.

"I killed a chicken to make soup, and I cut my hand while cutting the meat," Chu Wenshu said in a low voice.

Chu Yun asked in confusion, "Didn't you say you're a great cook? How come you've been injured one after another?"

She stared intently at Chu Wenshu and noticed that he didn't dare to look at her at all. She replied in a low voice, "I am a good cook, but that's what my memory tells me. Actually, I haven't cooked since I lost my memory, so I was a little clumsy today, but I got used to it quickly."

After he finished speaking, he glanced quickly at Chu Yun, then lowered his eyes again. "Sister Wen, I didn't mean to lie to you. I'm really confident that I can cook well."

He held the pastry in his right hand, hidden in his sleeve, almost crushing it, his heart filled with trepidation.

After waiting for a long time without receiving a reply from Chu Yun, Chu Wenshu felt even more uneasy. He looked up at Chu Yun and saw a hint of pity in her eyes.

Something exploded in his mind, creating a chaotic mess, so much so that Chu Wenshu stood frozen in place, unable to control himself.

Then he heard Chu Yun's gentle voice, "Yes, I believe you."

"You're injured. I'll take you back to get some medicine so you don't get a scar," Chu Yun's voice rang out again soon after.

Chu Wenshu initially thought he was seeing things and experiencing tinnitus, but after hearing what Chu Yun said, he finally realized that it was all true.

He seemed a little flustered. "Is it okay?"

Chu Yun looked at him strangely, "What's wrong with that? Don't refuse, come with me."

After saying that, Chu Yun stood up and picked up the food box on the table. "Hurry up and follow me."

Chu Wenshu stood up, gazing at Chu Yun's retreating figure, a sweet feeling welling up in his heart. So, was Sister Wen feeling sorry for him? Sincerity for sincerity does work.

He couldn't help but feel happy, and followed Chu Yun with cheerful steps.

Back in the room, Chu Yun placed the food box on the table and instructed Chu Wenshu, "Sit down and rest for a while, I'll go get the medicine."

Chu Wenshu nodded and obediently sat down.

Chu Yun was relieved and went to the inner room. When she returned, she saw Chu Wenshu sitting obediently in a chair and couldn't help but smile.

When Chu Wenshu saw Chu Yun's smile, he was first taken aback, then he smiled brightly, like a gentle golden retriever, with bright eyes and a soft gaze, "Sister Wen."

Chu Yun walked quickly to him and sat down beside him. "I've brought the medicine. I'll apply it for you."

Chu Wenshu: "Thank you, sister."

Chu Yun didn't reply, but simply said in a calm voice, "Stretch out your hand."

Chu Wenshu had just reached out his hand when Chu Yun pulled him over, and the skin that Chu Yun touched felt itchy.

Chu Yun's hands were beautiful, with fair and slender fingers and distinct knuckles. Chu Wenshu didn't dare to look at Chu Yun's face, but stared at her hands. As he looked, his earlobes gradually turned crimson.

What's worse, Chu Yun moved closer to him, exhaling warm breath that blew on the back of his scalded hand. His hand, which had been painless, suddenly felt a burning sensation.

Chu Wenshu curled his fingers, instinctively trying to pull his hand away, when he heard Chu Yun's voice, half scolding and half coaxing, "Don't move."

His heart fluttered as if a feather had brushed across it, but he forced himself to stay still, peeking through his eyes to steal a glance at Chu Yun.

The girl's face was expressionless, but her gaze was focused intently on the back of her injured hand. She applied the medicine with gentle care, as if it were some rare treasure that needed to be treated with utmost care.

The cooling ointment felt comfortable on his hands, and the warm breath felt like a gentle breeze. It should have soothed all the pain, but Chu Wenshu felt the burning sensation on the back of his hand intensify.

Chu Wenshu couldn't ignore Chu Yun's focused gaze or her warm breath, and was even at a loss for what to do.

He stared at Chu Yun, his body stiff, his cheeks flushed completely.

The application of medicine didn't take long, but it was somewhat unbearable for Chu Wenshu. The touch of fingers on Chu Yun's bones and her meticulous gentleness during the application made Chu Wenshu feel both happy and dazed. After the application was finally finished, he couldn't help but feel disappointed. His heart was fluctuating and restless.

It was Chu Yun's words that finally brought him back to his senses: "The medicine has been applied. Take care of yourself these next few days."

Chu Wenshu was almost intoxicated by her gentle tone, and after a long while, he nodded in agreement, "I understand."

The boy's cheeks were flushed, his head was slightly lowered, and his affectionate eyes were hidden under his long black hair. The strands of hair blew over his shoulders, giving him a stunningly beautiful appearance that was both male and female, which was dazzling to the eye.

Chu Yun felt it was inappropriate for him to appear like this in front of others, so she said, "You can stay and have dinner with me today. However, it is still early, and the maid who will bring the food will not be here for a while. Let me tie your hair up first so that you won't be impolite."

Chu Wenshu paused for a moment, then quickly nodded, "Okay."

Since he woke up, some people have tried to tie his hair up, but he felt uncomfortable and almost injured the person. He didn't let anyone touch him at all. Now, however, he was willing to let Chu Yun touch his hair. Chu Wenshu couldn't understand why, but he inexplicably believed that Chu Yun would never harm him.

Seeing that he agreed, Chu Yun's lips curled slightly. "Come with me." With her delicate hand, she lifted the beaded curtain and surprisingly allowed Chu Wenshu to enter the inner room.

Chu Wenshu's heart trembled slightly, and he followed.

Chu Yun was already standing in front of the dressing table, and said to Chu Wenshu, "Come here."

A faint smile graced her face, her gentle eyes drawing Chu Wenshu closer and closer, making him unable to resist walking towards her.

"Sit down." He heard Chu Yun say this and obediently sat down in front of the dressing table.

Chu Yun's dressing table was very simple, with few ornaments, only a few red hair ribbons and a wooden comb, which was completely exposed.

Chu Wenshu quickly glanced at the things on the table, then lowered his gaze and looked clearly through the mirror—the beautiful woman who had controlled his heart at that moment was standing behind him, her delicate hand taking up his long hair from his shoulder and slowly gathering it behind his head.

The delicate skin brushed against the back of Chu Wenshu's neck, making his already pursed lips tighten even more. His heart pounded violently, almost leaping out of his chest. A feeling of heat arose, and he felt quite thirsty. He quickly tightened his fingers until a sharp pain appeared in his palms, which slightly relieved his discomfort.

He wanted to tell Chu Yun to stay away from him, but before he could say it, he was interrupted by a man's voice from outside.

"Ah Yun, are you there—"
