Chapter 7 How exactly did you offend the young master?

She tried to calm herself down, but those terrifying memories were like a thorn, deeply embedded in her heart.

Liu Shiyin sat there blankly until dawn, her eyes empty and lifeless, as if she had lost her soul.

She didn't know how to face the past, nor how to move forward in the future. She could only silently endure the pain and torment in her heart, waiting for time to pass, hoping that one day she could step out of this shadow.

As dawn broke, Liu Shiyin got up early.

During her time in prison, she had long been accustomed to getting up at 5:30 every morning. Even though she hadn't slept all night and looked exhausted, she still insisted on preparing breakfast.

In the kitchen, Liu Shiyin busied herself skillfully. Although her face was etched with fatigue, her movements were methodical, and she handled every detail perfectly.

At six o'clock sharp, Aunt Wang got up on time as usual, ready to start her busy day.

When she entered the kitchen, she was surprised to find that Liu Shiyin was already there, busy at work.

Liu Shiyin was wearing an apron, and the table was already full of delicious breakfast ingredients.

Looking at all this, Aunt Wang couldn't help but say in surprise:

"Shion, why did you get up so early? And you prepared so much breakfast, you must be very tired."

Liu Shiyin turned around and smiled slightly, then said softly:

"Aunt Wang, you don't need to be so polite. I'm used to getting up early. Please rest for a while. Breakfast will be ready soon."

Looking into Liu Shiyin's tired but determined eyes, Aunt Wang felt a surge of warmth in her heart.

“Okay, I’ll go make some coffee for the young master right away. He always has a habit of having a cup of coffee first thing every morning after he wakes up.”

As Aunt Wang spoke, she gracefully walked to the coffee machine next to her and began to operate it skillfully.

Amidst the soft hum of the coffee machine, Aunt Wang, unable to contain her curiosity, looked at Liu Shiyin, who was busy working nearby, and asked:

"Shiyin, I've been wanting to ask you, how exactly did you offend the young master? I've been wondering about this for the past few days."

Upon hearing Aunt Wang's question, Liu Shiyin paused slightly in her movements, but quickly resumed her brisk pace.

She answered softly:

“Aunt Wang, I made some wrong decisions and accidentally offended Young Master Huo. But I will do my best to make up for my mistakes.”

Aunt Wang nodded gently after hearing Liu Shiyin's words, feeling both regret and understanding.

She knew Young Master Huo's temper and understood Liu Shiyin's current situation.

But she admired Liu Shiyin's attitude even more—her courage to face her mistakes and actively correct them.

Aunt Wang comforted Shiyin, saying:

"Young Master is actually a very good person; he just doesn't seem very approachable. From childhood to adulthood, he's always gotten what he wanted, and he's also very talented and capable. But because of this, he's rather aloof and doesn't seem to care about many things. But don't worry, he's not a bad person."

After listening, Liu Shiyin didn't offer much comment, but simply nodded gently and said in a soft tone:

"I understand, Aunt Wang."

"It's already seven o'clock, young master should get up."

While busily setting out the plates and preparing breakfast, Aunt Wang said to Liu Shiyin...

"Go and call the young master downstairs for dinner, and while you're at it, bring down the clothes he changed out of yesterday."

Although Liu Shiyin was somewhat unwilling, she felt embarrassed to refuse when she saw Aunt Wang's busy figure.

So, she steeled herself, took a deep breath, and headed upstairs.

She knew that as a maid, this was her duty, and no matter how unwilling she was, she would have to face it sooner or later.
