Rebirth to Save Myself

Chapter 30 Framing (1)

After hearing that they were planning to frame Su Xia, Zhou Xiaojie arranged to meet Su Xia privately the next day to tell her about it.

“They came with premeditation, you need to be careful,” Zhou Xiaojie couldn’t help but remind them again.

Su Xia learned what had happened from him and couldn't help but think, what was bound to happen will happen. She had been so careful in telling Chen Yuan that she had returned it, but Zhou Huimin had still seen it. However, she looked at the young man in front of her and said, "Thank you for reminding me, I will be more careful."

"If you need my help, I will definitely step forward," Zhou Xiaojie assured Su Xia.

"Hmm, no need." Su Xia didn't want him to get involved in the conflict between the group, which stemmed from their elementary school days. Zhou Xiaojie wasn't even in the same elementary school as her, and besides, he was the class monitor; there was no need to drag him into it.

"I will," Zhou Xiaojie said before turning and leaving.

"Why are these two so stubborn?" Su Xia couldn't understand what these young boys and girls were thinking. Why were they spending their time thinking about love instead of studying?

Soon, Lin Li sneaked back to the classroom during PE class and slipped the money into Su Xia's bag. Then he turned and left. Since Su Xia didn't like playing outside, she usually went back to the classroom after the teachers dismissed the class. Plus, the Chinese teacher wanted Yu Qing to hand over the money before school ended, which would be the perfect opportunity to frame her.

"Dismissed! Everyone is free to do as they please." With the PE teacher's order, everyone dispersed. Some went to the convenience store to buy snacks, some went to rest in the shade, and Su Xia turned and walked back to the classroom.

Seeing this, Yu Qing and Lin Li exchanged a glance, indicating that everything was proceeding according to plan and they were just waiting for Yu Qing to return to the classroom to perform.

After returning to the classroom, Su Xia rummaged through her bag and found a wad of cash tucked inside her books. This money was the evidence used to frame her. She shook her head immediately: "They really went for it!"

Then Su Xia put the money in her pocket, went next door to find the Chinese language representative of Chen Yuan's class, and handed the money to her, saying, "Yu Qing asked me to give this to you so you can help me give it to the Chinese language teacher."

Zhang Yao, the class representative for Chinese, was unwilling, but she still accepted the money. Thinking that it was not safe for her to keep so much money in her own hands, she turned around and went to find the Chinese teacher.

Since the Chinese teacher lived at the school, Zhang Yao couldn't find her in the office, so she went to the teacher's dormitory and handed over all the money Su Xia had given her, as well as the money her class had collected, to the Chinese teacher.

Su Xia watched Zhang Yao go to find the teacher, then returned to the classroom to study with peace of mind. Since the money wasn't in her hands and the Chinese teacher wasn't in the office at this time, Zhang Yao wouldn't run into the homeroom teacher, and the homeroom teacher wouldn't know that Zhang Yao was involved with money from two classes. This provided ample opportunity and conditions for Yu Qing and the others to put on a show later.

After PE get out of class, Yu Qing and Zhang Xiurong walked into the classroom hand in hand, saying as they walked, "Come with me to pay the Chinese teacher's fees."

After saying that, he pretended to go to his seat and start rummaging through things, then said in a very anxious tone, "Why isn't it here? I remember putting it here."

"What happened? The money is missing?" Zhang Xiurong immediately chimed in, shouting loudly.

The other students were drawn over by Zhang Xiurong's voice. Recently, only the Chinese teacher's classic works had been paid for, so those who had already paid were naturally anxious. They helped Yu Qing search, but Yu Qing searched through all the books and her schoolbag without finding it.

"Could it be that you left it at home and forgot to bring it?" a classmate asked Yu Qing.

"Impossible. The Chinese teacher said it had to be handed in today. I checked before leaving this afternoon, it was in my bag," Yu Qing said firmly.

"How could they disappear? There were hundreds of them!" The students were all discussing it.

"Let's ask Su Xia. She's in the classroom during PE class," Zhang Xiurong suggested, drawing everyone's attention to Su Xia.

Yu Qing cautiously approached Su Xia and asked, "Have you seen anyone come to my seat?"

Su Xia raised her head, glanced at Yu Qing, then at Zhang Xiurong, and said, "No."

At this moment, Vivian Chow appeared at the door and said, "What's going on? Why are you all gathered around Su Xia?"

"The money the teacher asked me to collect is missing. I came to ask Su Xia if she saw it," Yu Qing hurriedly explained to Zhou Huimin.

"Ah, well, I don't know if I should say this or not." Zhou Huimin looked at Su Xia with difficulty, as if she was afraid of her.

"Just say what you have to say. Why keep people in suspense?" Su Xia spoke up in front of Yu Qing and Zhang Xiurong, appearing nonchalant.

Seeing Su Xia jump into the pit herself, Zhou Huimin was naturally overjoyed. Then, she pretended to be very troubled and looked at Su Xia, saying, "I originally wanted to play with you guys in PE class, but then I saw Su Xia sneaking around near your seat doing something."

Upon hearing this, everyone realized they were accusing Su Xia of stealing money. But judging from Su Xia's demeanor just now, she seemed quite nonchalant!

"Do you remember? Su Xia stole money when she was in elementary school too." A classmate standing in the back suddenly whispered to the person next to him.

Although the voice was soft, it was still heard by others, and at that moment everyone began to suspect Su Xia.

Yu Qing looked at Su Xia and said, "Su Xia, everyone suspects you took my money. Can you show them your backpack as proof?"

"No, you're violating my privacy."

Goodness, Su Xia was so cooperative, making Yu Qing and the others extremely happy.

Upon hearing this, everyone assumed Su Xia was guilty and didn't dare search their bags. Some people started going to find the homeroom teacher, while others surrounded Su Xia to prevent her from escaping.

The homeroom teacher arrived shortly after. Because money and Su Xia, a good student, were involved, the teacher took it very seriously. Once there, the teacher ordered the classroom door to be closed, and Zhou Huimin was invited in, as she was a witness.

"Yu Qing, come and tell the teacher what happened," the homeroom teacher said, pointing at Yu Qing.

“Okay, teacher. I collected the book fees from everyone in the class a few days ago, and I brought them this afternoon to give to the Chinese teacher after PE get out of class. But I just turned my bag upside down and couldn’t find them. All the classmates around me helped look for them, but they’re just not there.” Yu Qing was almost crying as she spoke, and then she tried to control her emotions and continued, “Because Su Xia always stays in the classroom during PE class, and the money was still in my bag before I left, so everyone went to ask Su Xia, but nobody knows.”

“Teacher, let me speak next.” Zhou Huimin stepped forward and continued speaking for Yu Qing: “I originally wanted to come to the classroom to find someone to play with during PE class, but I found Su Xia near Yu Qing’s seat, looking nervously towards the door, as if she was afraid that someone would come into the classroom.”

These few words basically convicted Su Xia, but Su Xia just calmly looked at Zhou Huimin, Yu Qing, and Zhang Xiurong without saying a word to stop them, letting them continue.
