On the morning of the third day after arriving in the desert.

The Four-Faced Beast lay on Tianlu's back, its eyes slightly narrowed, trying to retain its moisture.

He still had half a bottle of water left in his kettle, and now he would only take a sip when he was extremely thirsty.

Bai Jie looked at the pitiful creature and pursed her lips, wishing there were other sources of water.

Suddenly, the Four-Faced Beast opened its eyes. "I think I can sense some dew nearby."

"Sibuxiang, are you out of your mind from thirst? Where did all this water in the Yellow Sea come from?" Tianlu, carrying him, was covered in sweat and sticking out his tongue.

"There really is water! There's no mistake! It's in that direction!" Following the direction pointed by the Four-Faced Beast, all they could see was yellow.

Tianlu glanced at the Four-Faced Beast, then at the direction it was pointing, and placed the Four-Faced Beast's water bottle on its paw. "If you're dizzy, give it some more."

Si Bu Xiang looked at Tian Lu, who showed no disbelief whatsoever, and said, "But what I said was true, I really felt it..." Si Bu Xiang lowered his head, looking somewhat disappointed.

Bai Jie seemed to have thought of something.

"Tianlu, head towards the place where the Four No-Shows go!" Bai Jie shouted to Tianlu.

"Alright, since Bai Jie has said so," Tian Lu said helplessly. He didn't believe that such a large sea as the Yellow Sea could have water.

"Little Golden Thread..." Si Bu Xiang was a little touched. It was Little Golden Thread who was willing to believe me!

Bai Jie thought that since it was a desert, there might really be an oasis! Si Bu Xiang said that what he sensed might be an oasis.

after a while.

All around them was still the vast Yellow Sea, which made the beasts a little visually fatigued.

"Four-Faced Beasts, see? I told you there was nothing there! You must have been too thirsty and misperceived it," Tianlu said, gesturing with his lips.

Si Bu Xiang was even more depressed, as if he had caused trouble for everyone again.

“Let’s walk a bit further. If it’s still not there, we’ll head back in the direction we originally wanted to go.” Bai Jie looked up at Tian Lu Dao.

"Alright, alright, let's walk a little further then." Tianlu could only agree, after all, it was Baijie who said it.

"Huh? What's that in the distance?" Tianlu noticed something that was a different color from the Yellow Sea.

As Tianlu and the other beasts approached, the area expanded continuously—it was green! The green that symbolized life!

"Tianlu, hurry."

Without Bai Jie saying anything, Tianlu was already heading towards the oasis at a very fast pace.

. . .

In the oasis.

"Ha~ I never imagined there was such a magical place in the Yellow Sea," Tianlu exclaimed as he put down the Four-Faced Beast.

Looking at the surrounding trees, it seemed as if they were blocking the desert from entering, preventing it from getting in at all.

Bai Jie's inner thoughts were: It really is an oasis.

It's no wonder he's the son of an auspicious beast; his luck is so high that he actually encountered such a rare oasis in the desert.

"Alright, everyone can relax now. Let's rest here for a bit and continue our journey tomorrow," Bai Jie said to everyone.

"Yay!" x3

"Buzz~!"

“Sibuxiang, drink some more water here. We’ll travel while it’s still cool tomorrow morning. I reckon we’ll be out of the Yellow Sea in a few days,” Bai Jie said to Sibuxiang.

The four-legged creature nodded and went to drink water from the small lake in the center of the oasis.

He drank the water in the kettle first, then refilled it. "I can't waste the water Jin Xian gave me!" he thought to himself, licking his lips with satisfaction.

A splash of water hit the face of the Four-Faced Beast; it turned out that Tianlu was playing in the lake!

"Little blue circle!!"

Looking at the two noisy beasts, Bai Jie thought: "Aren't they getting along really well?"

night.

"Ha~ I haven't had a good night's sleep in ages." Bai Jie rubbed her eyes. "I haven't been to the dream world lately."

Nestled in the arms of the Four-Faced Beast, Bai Jie nuzzled its fur and slowly drifted off to sleep.

. . .

In a dream.

We need to take advantage of this time to eliminate a few more nightmares! Otherwise, we won't have enough faith power. If we run out of faith power, the Four-Faced Beast will have no water to drink and we'll have to let the three Pixiu take turns bleeding it out.

Unless absolutely necessary, it's best to keep the Four-Faced Beast conscious.

"Bai Jie! Why haven't you been dreaming lately? I can't even enter your dreams anymore." A ripple appeared in the space, and Cotton Peach appeared in response.

"Miantao, my friends and I are stuck in the Yellow Sea and we're still on our way out. I'm so tired lately, so I just need to rest," Bai Jie said, looking at the somewhat aggrieved Miantao.

"The Yellow Sea? I think I saw it in a mythical beast's dream before. It was a place that was very hot during the day and very cold at night, and it never rained!" Cotton Peach thought of a mythical beast's dream before, in which it was trapped in the Yellow Sea for many days and barely managed to fly out before its strength was exhausted.

"Bai Jie! Are you all alright?"

"Oh, what could possibly happen to us? We've found an oasis in the Yellow Sea, and we're perfectly fine," Bai Jie said with a smile.

"Oasis? What's that?" This touches on a blind spot in my knowledge of cotton bolls.

"It's like there's a forest in the desert, and in the center of the forest is a lake."

"What? There's such a thing? You guys are really lucky." Cotton Peach exclaimed, marveling at the good fortune of White Clean and the other beasts.

Bai Jie chuckled. After all, she was surrounded by auspicious beasts, so it would be strange if her luck wasn't good.

"It's been a long time since I've been to the dream space. The nightmares have increased again recently." Bai Jie sensed it and found that many more nightmares had appeared. This was a sign that they were looking down on him.

"Bai Jie! Let's have a competition! Let's see who eliminates more nightmares. I'm sure I'll beat you this time!" Cotton Peach said eagerly.

“Okay~ But if I win, you have to call me Brother Bai Jie~” Bai Jie smiled slyly.

Cotton Peach puffed out her cheeks, looking extremely cute: "Hmph! If I win, you'll have to call me 'sister' too!" Cotton Peach said defiantly.

During the battle between the two beasts, one ominous dream after another disappeared.

Nightmare exclaimed, "I've never been treated like this before!"

Clearly, Bai Jie was the final victor. However, in order to make Mian Tao's defeat less devastating, Bai Jie deliberately slowed down the speed at which she destroyed the Nightmare.

This gives the cotton boll the illusion that it is "almost" able to surpass Bai Jie.

Bai Jie raised an eyebrow at Mian Tao, hmm~ shouldn't Mian Tao say something now?

Cotton Peach stared at Bai Jie's hateful face.

Suppressing her anger, she whispered, "Brother Bai... Bai Jie~"

"What? I didn't hear you!"

"I said... Stupid Bai Jie!" The voice, which was originally very soft, suddenly became very loud, making Bai Jie's ears hurt.

However, Bai Jie wasn't angry.

"Hehe~" Bai Jie stuck out her tongue.

"Still laughing!" Cotton Peach jumped onto Bai Jie's head and clawed at her ears.

"Ouch! Ouch! My ear's going to fall off!"

. . .

The next morning.

Upon waking, Bai Jie subconsciously rubbed her ears, thinking to herself: This cotton boll really went all out.

Then I glanced at the panel.

[Power of Faith: 30]

Hmm~ Not bad, at least getting out of the desert shouldn't be a problem.

I managed to break free from the embrace of the Four-Faced Beast. Why was it holding me so tightly even though it was asleep?

Awaken the beasts, the journey begins again today.
