I steadied myself and whispered. A faint scraping sound came from beneath my feet. I looked down and saw a thin steel wire, almost indistinguishable from the ground. The wire was taut; if I hadn't steadied myself in time, I would probably have fallen into the lava pool. The lava pool churned with crimson magma, radiating suffocating heat.

I took a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down. Who is plotting against me in the dark?

Xiao Yan and I worked in perfect harmony, completing one difficult move after another, drawing gasps of amazement from the surrounding examinees. In the end, we completed the beast-taming cooperation assessment with a perfect performance, earning high praise from the examiners. I turned to look at Examinee Liu; his face was ashen, his eyes filled with anger and resentment.

He glanced at Liu, then said in a deep voice, "Liu, your behavior has seriously violated the examination rules. I hereby announce that your examination qualification is revoked!"

Liu, the examinee, was deathly pale; he knew he was doomed. The assessment continued, but a lingering unease remained in my heart.

Although Liu's egregious behavior was stopped, he has not yet been caught red-handed.

Will he give up? I was filled with doubt, and I felt that things were not so simple.
