Chapter 389 Passing on Beliefs and Boosting Morale

Chapter 389

I took a deep breath and stepped onto the platform. Su Yao stood beside me, holding my hand and offering silent support. Below the platform, hundreds of beast tamers, as well as people like the young man with the metal tungsten who had lost their beast taming abilities but still yearned for power, all looked up at me, their eyes filled with expectation, yet also tinged with doubt.

"The story I'm about to tell is about an ancestor named 'Xuan'," I began slowly, my voice echoing across the plaza. "Hundreds of years ago, the demon race invaded, causing widespread devastation. At that time, Senior Xuan was just a novice beast tamer, and his companion was merely an ordinary mountain eagle. Faced with the powerful demon race, everyone despaired and prepared to give up resistance."

I paused for a moment, observing the reactions of the crowd below. The beast tamer, who had been hanging his head, raised it, and the drummer, whose eyes had been lifeless, regained some of their luster.

"But Senior Xuan didn't give up," I continued. "He firmly believed that even with weak strength, he would fight to the very last moment! He led his mountain eagle, challenging the demons time and time again, failing time and time again, but rising again and again. Finally, in a crucial battle, Senior Xuan and his mountain eagle, with extraordinary courage and teamwork, found the demons' weakness and turned the tide of the battle!"

My tone gradually rose, "Senior Xuan's story tells us that the strength of beast taming ability does not depend on the level, but more importantly on belief! As long as we have firm belief, we will never give up, no matter how powerful the enemy is!"

I looked around and saw that the flames of hope had already ignited in the eyes of many beast tamers. "There was another predecessor, named 'Yu.' She was a Valkyrie, just like..." I looked at Su Yao, who smiled slightly at me, "...just as powerful as Su Yao. In a battle with a demonic beast, Senior Yu was severely injured, and her tamed beast was on the verge of death. But she did not fall; she used her last bit of strength to pass on her belief to her tamed beast!"

My voice was filled with power, "At that moment, a miracle happened! Senior Yu's beast taming unleashed unprecedented power, defeating the powerful demon beast! Senior Yu's story tells us that faith can be passed down! It can transcend race, transcend life and death, and create miracles!"

I stepped down from the platform and walked up to the beast tamer, placing my hand on his shoulder. "I believe you can do it too. You were once a high-level beast tamer; you possess rich experience and immense potential. As long as you rekindle your faith, you will surely regain your ability to tame beasts!"

My gaze swept over the crowd, finally settling on the young man with the metallurgical-coated iron. His fists were clenched tightly, and tears welled in his eyes… I walked up to him…

I walked up to the young man and gently patted him on the shoulder. "I know you've lost your loved ones, I know you're in pain," I said in a low but firm voice. "But hatred won't solve anything. Only by becoming stronger can you protect yourself and those around you."

He looked up at me, his eyes blurry with tears. "But... I've lost my ability to control beasts..." His voice choked with sobs, tinged with despair.

I crouched down to look him in the eye. "No, you haven't lost anything," I said, pointing to his heart. "Your faith is still there, your hope is still there. As long as you don't give up, you can still become a strong person, a guardian!"

Su Yao walked to my side and gently stroked the boy's head. "Child, we will all help you." Her voice was as warm as a spring breeze, soothing the boy's wounded heart.

At this moment, the beast tamer let out a cold laugh. "Easy talk! Those are stories from hundreds of years ago. The situation is completely different now! The demons are growing stronger and stronger; we have no chance of winning!" His words were like a bucket of cold water, extinguishing the newly ignited flame of hope. Some of the beast tamers who had initially been full of fighting spirit began to waver.

I stood up and looked directly at the Beastmaster. "You say the situation is different?" My tone was calm, yet carried an undeniable authority. "Indeed, times change, but some things will never change! That is the belief of us Beastmasters, our determination to protect our homeland!"

I took a deep breath, my voice growing louder. "You say we have no chance of winning? Have you forgotten that we Beast Tamers have never fought alone! We have partners, we have companions, and we have the precious legacy left by our ancestors!"

I paused, my gaze sweeping over the crowd. "I know some of you have lost faith, some are filled with fear. But I want to tell you, fear is not terrible; what is terrible is losing faith! As long as we unite as one and carry on the will of our ancestors, we will surely defeat any enemy!"

I stretched out my hand and pointed into the distance. "Follow me!" I turned and walked towards the place where the historical relics of the Beast Tamers were kept. Su Yao followed closely behind me, and the Tungsten boy wiped away his tears and followed resolutely. The Rhenium drummer and the Osmium envoy exchanged a glance and silently joined the group.

The beast tamer stood still, looking at us with disdain. "What a show! What use is a pile of scrap metal?" He sneered, but still followed us.

I led everyone to an ancient stone hall. The heavy stone doors were covered in mysterious runes. I slowly pushed open the doors, and an aura of antiquity washed over us… Inside the dimly lit hall, various items were displayed: ancient weapons, tattered armor, yellowed scrolls… These were all relics left by our beast-taming ancestors, each carrying a legendary story…

I pointed at these relics, then turned to look at the metal-clad beast tamer…
