Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 386 High Morale Facing the Decisive Battle

Chapter 386 Morale Soars as We Prepare for the Decisive Battle

Chapter 386

Su Yao stood still, her spear sheathed, and the arena fell silent; you could hear a pin drop. Her final words, "timid and hesitant," resonated deeply, like a heavy hammer blow to the heart of the beast tamer, and to the hearts of the other beast tamers whose morale was already low. I saw his face grow even paler, his lips trembling slightly, as if he wanted to retort but was too weak to speak.

This is exactly the effect we wanted. Instead of empty rhetoric, let's let our actions speak for themselves. Su Yao's marksmanship demonstration not only showcased her strength, but more importantly, she broke down a basic marksmanship technique so clearly that everyone understood that power is not unattainable. With effort, they too can possess such power to protect themselves and safeguard their homes.

The silence lasted for a moment, then suddenly, a cheer erupted from the crowd. Immediately afterwards, more and more cheers rose, surging like a tide, sweeping away the previous dejection. I saw a rekindling of hope in the eyes of some of the beast tamers; they clenched their fists, their gazes fixed firmly on Su Yao, on me.

I smiled slightly, and pressed my advantage, saying loudly, "Everyone, fear is not terrible; what is terrible is being consumed by fear! We are all Beast Tamers, and we have the power to fight alongside our beast companions! We are not fighting alone! Think of your families, think of your homeland, think of everything we have protected! Are we really going to hand all of this over?"

My voice echoed across the square, eliciting waves of responses. "No! We won't!" "We will fight!" "Defend our homeland!"

The speaker, Jintan, also went up on stage. He took a deep breath and repeated the words that Su Yao and I had used to encourage the beast tamers in a passionate voice. His voice was infectious, like a blazing flame, igniting the fighting spirit in the hearts of the beast tamers.

"For home!"

"For victory!"

“For the future!”

The beast tamers below the stage began to cheer, their voices deafening, their morale burning like a blazing fire. I saw the metal-clad beast tamer open his mouth, seemingly wanting to retort again, but found his voice drowned out by the cheers. He looked around blankly at those spirited faces, his eyes flickering uncertainly.

I walked to Su Yao's side and whispered, "It seems our plan has succeeded." Su Yao nodded slightly, but her gaze fell on the Beast Tamer of the Metal-plated Beast, a complex light flashing in her eyes... She suddenly spoke, "Wait."

Su Yao's voice wasn't loud, but it clearly reached my ears in the noisy square. The cheers of the crowd gradually subsided, and everyone's attention focused on Su Yao and the bewildered beast tamer.

"Is there anything else you'd like to say?" Su Yao's voice was calm, yet carried an undeniable force.

The beast tamer's expression shifted. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but then swallowed his words. He looked around and saw faces full of hope and fighting spirit, a flicker of struggle crossing his eyes. The defeatism he had previously firmly believed in now seemed so out of place, so pale and powerless.

"I..." he finally spoke, but his voice was so low it was almost inaudible, "I... I was just worried..."

"What are you worried about?" Su Yao pressed on. "Are you worried we can't defeat the dark forces? Are you worried we'll fail? Or are you worried you'll die?"

Each question was like a sharp knife, piercing the heart of the beast tamer. His face grew even paler, and his body trembled slightly. He dared not look Su Yao in the eye, lowering his head and muttering to himself, "I don't know... I'm just... scared..."

A sigh came from the crowd. I saw the young man with metal in the middle of the crowd. His head, which had been hanging low, gradually rose, and a complex light flickered in his eyes. He clenched his fists tightly, and his body trembled slightly with excitement.

I walked up to the beast tamer, patted him on the shoulder, and said gently, "Fear is human nature, but we cannot be controlled by fear. Think about why you became a beast tamer? It's to protect everything you cherish, isn't it?"

My words seemed to touch a chord deep within the beast tamer's heart. He looked up at me, a hint of confusion, a struggle, and finally, a touch of determination flashing in his eyes.

“I…I want to protect my family…” he said softly.

"Then pick up your weapons and fight alongside us!" I shouted. "We are not fighting alone; we have each other, we have hope!"

A deafening cheer erupted from the crowd once more. The young man with the metal tungsten joined in, his voice hoarse yet full of power. The hatred in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by the light of hope. He knew he was no longer alone; he had companions, brothers and sisters to fight alongside him.

Looking at the group of spirited beast tamers before me, I felt a surge of confidence. But at the same time, I knew this final battle would be exceptionally difficult. The power of the dark forces was not to be underestimated; could we truly defeat them?

I took a deep breath, suppressing my worries. Now is not the time to think about these things. What we need to do is give it our all, for our homeland, for victory, for the future!

I turned and walked towards the high platform in the center of the plaza, the hall of glory for beast tamers. Standing there, looking down at the cheering crowd, a new thought suddenly welled up within me… I slowly raised my right hand…
