Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 332 The Conflict Begins to Ease and an Opportunity Approaches

Chapter 332 The Conflict Eases and Opportunities Arise

The council hall was packed with people, and a tense atmosphere filled the air. I stood in the center of the hall, with Su Yao standing quietly beside me, her hand gently resting on my arm, offering silent support. The Beast Tamer stood opposite me, his face ashen, his eyes filled with hostility. I glanced around and saw that the Beast Tamer had also arrived with the young man, the strategist, and the envoy.

"Gentlemen," I began, my voice not loud, but clearly carrying throughout the hall, "I've gathered you all here today to discuss matters concerning our mysterious ally."

As soon as I finished speaking, the hall erupted in chaos.

"Mysterious allies? They've been harming our own people, what's there for us to talk to them about?"

"Exactly! To talk to them is to desecrate our compatriots who died!"

"We should immediately wage war against them and avenge our fallen compatriots!"

I raised my hand to signal everyone to be quiet. "I know you are all very angry, but please let me finish what I have to say."

I took a deep breath and continued, "I understand everyone's anger, but do we really know the truth? Do we really know who is stirring up trouble behind the scenes?"

My gaze swept over everyone, finally settling on the face of the Beastmaster. "Beastmaster, you say that the mysterious ally has harmed our compatriots, but what evidence do you have? The so-called 'evidence' you've presented is completely untenable!"

"You're spouting nonsense!" the Beastmaster roared.

I sneered, "I'm making baseless accusations? Then tell me, where are the bodies of those compatriots you believe were killed by the mysterious ally? Where are their belongings? You can't produce a single one!"

The beast tamer's expression changed. He opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything.

I continued, “Gentlemen, we must not let hatred blind us! We must think rationally and seek the true path to peace! Although our mysterious allies are different from us, they are not our enemies. We should cooperate with them to fight the real enemy!”

I paused, looked around, and said, "I know that many people may not be able to accept what I'm about to say. But I hope everyone can think about it seriously and not let hatred cloud their judgment."

My words prompted some neutral beast tamers to reflect. They had initially been hostile towards the mysterious ally, but my words made them reconsider, begin to doubt, and start to waver.

The strategist stepped forward and said, "What young friend Nong Yu said is indeed worth our deep consideration. We cannot push our mysterious ally to the opposite side because of some unfounded accusations."

The young man who mended the metal also said, "Yes, we should give our mysterious ally a chance to explain, instead of just blaming them."

As more and more people began to support me, the Beastmaster's expression grew increasingly grim.

I turned to look at Su Yao, who was gazing at me with tender affection, her eyes filled with adoration. She would occasionally straighten the hem of my clothes; these subtle gestures made me feel her love for me. I felt her gaze, and my heart filled with strength.

“Beastmaster,” I looked at him again, “I know you’re not convinced, but facts speak louder than words. I will present real evidence to prove the innocence of the mysterious ally, and to prove that you are the real…” I deliberately paused, not finishing my sentence.

"What are you really?" the Beastmaster asked through gritted teeth.

I smiled slightly, but didn't answer. Instead, I turned to Nightshade and said, "Nightshade, it's your turn..."

Nightmare, my Shadow Panther, appeared silently beside me. It was entirely black, like the embodiment of night, its eerie green eyes gleaming with a chilling light. I gently stroked its soft fur, feeling the powerful energy emanating from it.

"Nightmare, show everyone what you see," I whispered.

Nightmare growled, and a beam of black light shot from its eyes, forming a screen of light in the center of the hall. The screen displayed an image of the beast tamers, previously believed to have been killed by the mysterious allies, being murdered.

In the footage, the beast tamers didn't die at the hands of the mysterious allies, but were killed by a mysterious force lurking in the shadows. And this mysterious force is none other than…

I paused deliberately, my gaze sweeping over everyone before finally settling on the face of the Beastmaster.

The beast tamer's face grew even uglier, and fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

“Beastmaster, do you have anything to say now?” I asked in a deep voice.

Su Yao stood beside me, holding my hand tightly, giving me strength. I could feel the warmth of her palm and her unwavering support. Her gaze, like a clear spring, washed away the weariness in my heart.

The Beastmaster opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything. He had been so aggressive, but now he was like a deflated balloon, completely listless.

"The facts are right in front of you, do you still want to argue?" I pressed on, my tone becoming increasingly sharp.

The Beastmaster slumped into a chair, head bowed, saying nothing.

"I know the reason you're targeting this mysterious ally is because you've been misled by that mysterious force," I said, softening my tone. "Are you still so stubbornly clinging to your delusions?"

The Beastmaster raised his head and looked at me with a complicated expression, as if he were having a fierce internal struggle.

Just then, a young beast tamer stepped forward from the Mei beast tamer camp. He walked up to Mei and said loudly, "Lord Mei, we can't continue down this wrong path! We should trust Nong Yu and our mysterious ally!"

Once there was a first, there was a second, a third... More and more beast tamers stood up to express their support for me and my mysterious ally.

Seeing this filled me with hope. I knew I was getting closer and closer to success.

Su Yao leaned gently on my shoulder and said softly, "You did a great job."

I turned to look at her, and her eyes were filled with love and adoration, which filled me with strength. I gently put my arms around her waist, feeling her warmth.

"It's all because of you," I whispered.

Su Yao's cheeks flushed slightly, and she lowered her head shyly.

“Okay,” I patted her hand and said, “we still have a lot to do.”

I turned to look at everyone and said, "Now, I believe everyone understands the truth. What we need to do next is unite and fight the real enemy together!"

"Nong Yu," the beast tamer approached and said, "what do you plan to do?"

I smiled slightly and said, "Come with me..."

I led some of the beast tamers to an open space. I took a deep breath and slowly raised my hands... "The moment to witness a miracle has arrived."
