Beast Taming Star Journey

The black tide surged, carrying a suffocating sense of oppression, sweeping in from all directions. I felt a chill creep up from my feet to the top of my head. This wasn't just the low temperature brought by magic; it was a shiver from the depths of my soul, as if this dark magic could devour everything, including hope and life.

"What kind of magic is this?!" the boy beside him cried out in terror, his voice trembling and his face deathly pale.

I don't know either. I've never seen such bizarre magic. It's not as fiery as ordinary fire magic, nor as gentle as water magic, nor as swift as wind magic. It's like a demon crawling out of the depths of hell, carrying a strong aura of death that sends chills down your spine.

"Don't panic, everyone!" I shouted, suppressing my unease. "Gather your beast-taming power together! Form a defense!"

Time is of the essence, and I have no time to think. I must find a solution as soon as possible, or we will all be devoured by this dark magic.

Although my companions were terrified, they quickly followed my instructions. Beams of light emanated from their tamed beasts, converging into a powerful energy. Under my command, this energy eventually formed a huge, semi-transparent shield, enveloping us within it.

The black tide crashed violently against the shield, producing a deafening roar. The shield trembled violently, as if it would shatter at any moment.

"Hold on!" I gritted my teeth and channeled my beast-taming power into the shield.

Su Yao stood beside me, her tamed beast, a phoenix engulfed in flames, let out a clear cry and infused a powerful burst of fire energy into the shield.

The shield shone even brighter, resisting the erosion of dark magic.

Seeing the shield take effect, the warriors of the Beast Taming Realm, who had been terrified, gradually felt a glimmer of hope.

"We've held them off!" a soldier shouted excitedly.

"Keep reinforcing the shield!" I shouted, not daring to relax for a moment. This was only the first wave of attacks; no one knew what other tricks the Beastmaster had up its sleeve.

The dark tide continued to crash against the shield, but the shield remained sturdy, showing no signs of collapsing.

I breathed a slight sigh of relief; it seemed our defense strategy was effective.

Just then, I felt an unusual fluctuation coming from the dark tide. The fluctuation was extremely faint, but it made my heart pound.

"Watch out!" I instinctively sensed danger and shouted a warning.

However, my warning came too late... The black tide suddenly changed...

The black tide suddenly surged, its once even waves twisting and deforming like countless black venomous snakes, intertwining and devouring each other. The shield trembled violently under the impact of the black spikes, groaning under the strain. Some spikes pierced the shield and shot towards the warriors behind us. Screams erupted as several warriors, unable to dodge in time, were struck by the spikes and fell into pools of blood.

I was frantic with worry, but powerless to stop them. The black spikes were too fast and too numerous; I simply couldn't intercept them all.

"Yu, I feel much more at ease with you here." A gentle voice rang in my ear.

I turned my head and saw Su Yao. She stood beside me, her eyes full of love, gently taking my arm. Her hand was warm, giving me immense comfort and strength.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. Su Yao's trust and reliance made the responsibility on my shoulders feel even heavier. I couldn't panic; I had to think of a solution!

"Yao'er, believe me, we will get through this." I said firmly, taking her hand in mine. Her hand was a little cold, so I warmed it with my own body heat.

My gaze returned to the battlefield; the black spikes continued to rain down, and the shield was teetering on the brink of collapse. I had to find a way to break through this defense as soon as possible.

My mind raced. While the Beastmaster's magical attack was powerful, it wasn't invincible. Its weakness lay in… speed! Although the spikes were numerous and incredibly fast, the energy of each spike was relatively dispersed. If I could concentrate my power on a single point, perhaps I could break through!

"All beasts with penetrating attacks, heed my command!" I shouted. "Concentrate your attacks on one point and break through the blockade of dark magic!"

My command was quickly relayed, and the beasts with penetrating attacks responded one after another. Beams of light converged to form a powerful energy beam that shot straight toward the place where dark magic was most concentrated.

With a deafening roar, the energy beam collided with the dark magic, erupting in a dazzling light. A crack appeared in the seal of the dark magic…

However, this was only the beginning. More black spikes poured out of the cracks, the attack intensifying. The cracks in the shield widened, and it teetered on the brink of collapse…

"Damn it!" I cursed under my breath, beads of sweat sliding down my face.

“Yu…” Su Yao’s voice carried a hint of worry.

I turned to look at her; her eyes were full of trust and expectation. I took a deep breath and squeezed her hand.

"Don't worry, I will definitely..." Before I could finish speaking, a loud bang was heard, and the shield finally gave way and shattered...
