Beast Taming Star Journey
Chapter 300 The Attack of the Mercury Master
The Mercury Beastmaster's eyes were like those of a venomous snake, cold and sinister, sending chills down my spine. The blade in his hand danced like lightning, each attack carrying a sharp killing intent, forcing me to defend with all my might. His onslaught was like a violent storm, wave after wave, leaving me almost breathless. I felt my strength rapidly dwindling; sweat soaked through my clothes, clinging tightly to my body.
While dodging the attacks of the Mercury Beastmaster, I kept a close eye on the Tin Messenger's condition. His breathing became increasingly erratic, and his movements began to slow down; it seemed my tactics were indeed working. If I could just hold on a little longer, I could defeat him completely!
"You're really tenacious!" The Mercury Beastmaster's voice was filled with frustration as he couldn't break through my defenses. His attacks became even more frenzied, each strike deadly, leaving me struggling to keep up. I felt my arms starting to ache and go numb, and my hand gripping the sword trembled slightly. I didn't know how many more moves he had up his sleeve, so I could only grit my teeth and proceed cautiously.
Just when I was about to give up, a figure suddenly appeared beside me, standing between me and the Mercury Beastmaster. It was Su Yao!
"Your opponent is me!" Su Yao's voice was clear and firm, carrying an undeniable air of authority. Holding a long sword, her gaze was piercing, and she exuded a powerful aura, like a war god descending upon the land.
Su Yao's appearance instantly relieved the pressure on me. I knew she was worried about me, which was why she stepped forward. I gave her a grateful look, then refocused my attention on the Tin Messenger.
Su Yao clashed head-on with the Mercury Beast Tamer, unleashing powerful Martial God skills. Her figure moved like a ghost, her longsword flashing like streaks of silver light as she deflected the Mercury Beast Tamer's attacks time and again. Her offensive was fierce, each move aimed at vital points, forcing the Mercury Beast Tamer to focus all its energy on defending itself, leaving it no time to attack me.
I seized the opportunity and once again commanded my beast to attack the Tin Messenger. The Tin Messenger had already exhausted a great deal of strength from the previous attacks, and now, facing my fierce onslaught, it was powerless to resist. It let out a painful groan, and its body fell heavily to the ground, incapacitated.
I finally breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at Su Yao. She was still locked in fierce combat with the Mercury Beast Tamer, their attacks coming back and forth with deadly force, making it difficult to determine a winner for the time being.
Seeing that I had defeated the Tin Envoy, a ruthless glint flashed in the Mercury Beastmaster's eyes. He suddenly stopped attacking, took a few steps back, and then pulled a black whistle from his pocket, put it to his lips, and blew it loudly.
A sharp whistle pierced the night sky and echoed throughout the valley. My heart sank, and an ominous premonition welled up inside me.
"You think you can win like this?" The Mercury Beastmaster smiled coldly. "Let me show you my true strength!"
After the whistle, the earth trembled, and a colossal beast emerged from the ground. Its body was covered in black scales that gleamed with a metallic sheen, and its massive, scarlet eyes shone with a bloodthirsty light. The beast opened its blood-red maw and let out a deafening roar, a stench so foul it was nauseating. The beast was none other than a giant pangolin that had undergone a special mutation; the scales on its back were as sharp as knives, gleaming with a cold light.
This is the Mercury Beastmaster's trump card beast—the "Iron-Armored Earth Dragon".
The armored earth dragon roared and pounced on Su Yao. Its massive body stirred up a gust of wind, sending sand and stones flying, its momentum terrifying. Su Yao dodged the armored earth dragon's attack with a nimble movement. She lightly touched the ground with her toes, her body leaping into the air, and then, seizing the opportunity, kicked the armored earth dragon hard in the head.
"boom!"
With a loud bang, the armored earth dragon was kicked back several steps by Su Yao, its massive body swaying and nearly falling over. It let out an angry roar and pounced on Su Yao again.
Upon seeing this, the Beastmaster's eyes flashed with a hint of smugness. He believed that with the Ironclad Earth Dragon's formidable strength, Su Yao was definitely no match for it.
However, Su Yao's performance exceeded his expectations. Facing the Ironclad Earth Dragon's fierce attacks, she remained calm and even more courageous. Her movements were elusive, like a ghost, always managing to dodge the Ironclad Earth Dragon's attacks at the last second. She would sometimes leap into the air, and sometimes glide along the ground, making the Ironclad Earth Dragon spin around in circles.
Seeing that the armored earth dragon was unable to break through his defenses, the Mercury Beastmaster grew increasingly annoyed. He decided to take matters into his own hands and deal with Su Yao.
He roared and charged towards Su Yao in a flash. Seeing this, Su Yao was not to be outdone and went to meet him.
The two instantly clashed, their fists and feet exchanging blows with explosive force. Although Su Yao was not as strong as the Mercury Beastmaster, her agility and exquisite techniques allowed her to deflect his attacks. For a time, the two were evenly matched.
I stood by, watching Su Yao fight fiercely against the Mercury Beastmaster, feeling both worried and moved. Worried about Su Yao's safety, and moved by her willingness to fight such a powerful enemy for my sake. I secretly vowed to defeat the Tin Envoy as soon as possible and help Su Yao.
I turned my gaze to the Tin Messenger, a resolute glint in my eyes. I took a deep breath, gathering all my strength, preparing to launch the final attack.
Although Su Yao has temporarily blocked the Mercury Beastmaster, I know that the Mercury Beastmaster seems to have even greater power yet to be unleashed. Can Su Yao continue to hold out, and can I quickly break through the Tin Envoy's defenses?
I swung my sword at the Tin Messenger's weak point, and just as I was about to succeed, the Tin Messenger suddenly let out a low growl, and the light emanating from his body intensified abruptly... "What... what's going on..."
