Beast Taming Star Journey
Chapter 245 Righteous Men Gather, Initial Plans Determined
The Justice League headquarters, once solemn and dignified, was now filled with an unsettling atmosphere. In the hall, several high-ranking Beastmasters were gathered in small groups, whispering amongst themselves, their faces etched with anxiety and doubt.
I took a deep breath, took Su Yao's hand, and walked forward.
"Gentlemen," I said, trying to keep my voice calm, "I have brought important intelligence about a conspiracy by the dark forces."
I will show you the intelligence I obtained from the Promethium Merchant. It details the plans of the dark forces, whose target is the sealing place of the ancient sacred beast!
The consequences would be unimaginable if the seal were broken. However, my words did not receive the response I expected.
The beast tamers glanced at the intelligence report briefly, their faces showing disdain.
"Based on this?" A burly beast tamer named Pu scoffed. "Is this information reliable? It might be false information deliberately released by the dark forces to confuse us."
My heart sank, and I explained, "This intelligence was obtained from a reliable source at great expense; it is absolutely true and credible!"
"Hmph, who knows?" another beast tamer chimed in. "The world is in chaos right now, and all sorts of rumors are flying around. We can't believe them easily."
Su Yao, who had been watching from the sidelines, couldn't stand it any longer. She stepped forward and said in an icy tone, "What do you mean? Would you rather believe this intelligence is false than take action to stop the dark forces' conspiracy?"
Her imposing aura silenced the beast tamers, though their eyes remained filled with suspicion.
I felt a headache coming on; the divisions within the forces of good were more severe than I had imagined. If we couldn't consolidate our strength in time, we wouldn't be able to fight the forces of darkness at all.
“I know you all have doubts,” I said, trying to control my emotions, “but time is of the essence, and we cannot delay any longer. If the dark forces’ plan succeeds, the consequences will be unimaginable!”
My words were firm and resounding, and the hall fell silent. The beast tamers exchanged glances, seemingly weighing the pros and cons.
"Enough!" An old and dignified voice broke the silence.
I looked in the direction of the sound and saw an elderly man with white hair slowly walking over. He was Elder Sam, one of the elders of the Justice League.
He was highly respected and held immense prestige among those who championed justice. He walked up to me, staring intently into my eyes, which made me feel a little uneasy.
“Young man,” he began slowly, “you say you possess crucial intelligence about the forces of darkness?”
“Yes, Elder Shan,” I quickly replied, handing him the intelligence report again. “This details the dark forces’ plans; their target is the sealing site of the ancient sacred beast!”
Elder Shan took the intelligence report, read it carefully, and his brows gradually furrowed.
After a long while, he finally raised his head, his gaze sweeping over everyone in the hall, and said in a deep voice, "This intelligence is indeed very important; we cannot take it lightly."
Upon hearing this, the atmosphere in the hall instantly changed. Those beast tamers who had previously questioned me lowered their heads, daring not to utter another word.
Elder Shan held immense prestige among the forces of justice; his words were like imperial edicts, and no one dared to disobey him.
“Nong Yu,” Elder Shan turned to me, his tone much gentler, “you did very well. Being able to obtain such important intelligence in a timely manner proves your ability and loyalty. I believe in you, and I also believe in the authenticity of this intelligence.”
Hearing these words, I was immediately filled with excitement and gratitude.
Elder Sam's support was of great significance to me, not only helping me out of my predicament but also reuniting the forces of justice.
"Since Elder Shan has said so, what else do we have to doubt?" the Beast Tamer said in a deep voice. Although he was brave, he was also impulsive and agreed with Elder Shan's judgment.
“That’s right,” another beast tamer chimed in. “We should trust Nong Yu and Elder Shan’s judgment.”
I gave Elder Shan a grateful look and then said, "Since everyone has no objections, let's begin to formulate a battle plan."
"I have something to say!" The Beastmaster suddenly stood up, a hint of excitement on his rugged face. "I think we should storm into the heart of the dark forces and wipe them out in one fell swoop!"
Although his proposal was somewhat reckless, it was not entirely unfeasible.
After a moment's thought, I said, "While the Beastmaster's suggestion is bold, it's not entirely unfeasible. We can first send an elite squad to infiltrate the dark forces' lair to investigate the situation, and then formulate a specific battle plan based on the actual circumstances."
“I agree with Nong Yu’s plan,” Su Yao said from the side. “Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated.”
"Alright, it's settled then!" Elder Shan made the decision. "Nong Yu, you'll be in charge of developing the specific battle plan. Just let us know what resources you need."
"Yes!" I answered excitedly.
Over the next few days, together with Su Yao, Pu Yuzhe, and several other advanced beast tamers, I carefully studied the intelligence on the dark forces and formulated a detailed battle plan based on the actual situation.
The core of the operation plan is to divide the forces into two groups. One group, led by me, will be responsible for a feint attack to attract the attention of the dark forces. The other group, led by Su Yao, will be responsible for infiltrating the dark forces' lair and destroying their core facilities.
Although the plan has been initially determined, I know that various obstacles and challenges will definitely be encountered during its implementation.
The forces of darkness are no ordinary people; they must have made thorough preparations.
"Is everything ready?" I asked in a low voice, looking around at the woods shrouded in the night.
We had quietly approached one of the dark forces' strongholds, but the unusual silence around us was unsettling. Su Yao gripped my hand and nodded.
In the distance, a crow suddenly took flight from a branch, letting out a mournful cry...
