Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 191 Sudden Suspicion Arrives, Trapped in a Quagmire

The massive body of the Neon Beastmaster crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Before I could even catch my breath, I felt a cold touch on my shoulder.

"Come with me." The emotionless voice of the Potassium Beastmaster rang in my ears, like an ice pick piercing my heart.

I turned around abruptly and met his calm, expressionless eyes, and a sense of foreboding rose in my heart.

"The Beast Tamer Alliance headquarters needs you to explain some things, regarding... your relationship with the instigators." He emphasized each word heavily, as if he wanted to crush me.

My mind went blank.

Civil rioters?

What is my relationship with them?

I fought on the front lines against the instigators, fought bloody battles, and even almost lost my life because of it, but now I am suspected of colluding with them.

This is a big joke!

"Senior Potassium, are you mistaken? I've been working for the Alliance all along..." I tried to remain calm and explain, but before I could finish, he rudely interrupted me.

"Stop talking nonsense! When we get to headquarters, you'll know what you've done!" He grabbed my arm, like an iron clamp, making me unable to move.

Upon seeing this, Su Yao immediately stepped forward and blocked my way.

"Senior Potassium, what are you doing? Nong Yu has been fighting for the Alliance, how dare you treat him like this?" Her tone was sharp, and her eyes flashed with anger.

The Potassium Beastmaster glanced at her coldly. "Su Yao, this is an internal matter of the alliance. You'd better not interfere."

His tone carried a hint of warning, and then he pulled me out from under Su Yao's protection with a forceful tug.

I was escorted by the Beastmasters to the Alliance headquarters. Along the way, the Beastmasters around me cast strange glances at me, some with suspicion, some with disdain, and some even with schadenfreude.

These gazes pierced my heart like needles, making me feel incredibly wronged and angry.

I fought tooth and nail for the league, and this is the result I got in return?

Upon entering headquarters, I was taken to a cold interrogation room.

The Potassium Beastmaster sat opposite me, scrutinizing me with icy eyes, as if trying to see through my soul.

"Speak, what exactly is your relationship with the instigators?" His voice was as cold as ice, sending a chill down my spine.

I took a deep breath, trying to control my anger and resentment. "Senior Potassium, I don't know any traitors at all. I've always been working for the Alliance..."

"The evidence is conclusive, and you still want to argue!" He slammed his hand on the table, interrupting me, and then threw several photos in front of me.

I picked up the photo and was immediately stunned.

The photo shows me talking to a stranger, who is one of the leaders of the insurgency!

My heart sank to the bottom. Where did these photos come from?

I don't know this person at all, let alone have any conversation with him!

This is clearly someone deliberately framing me!

"I...I didn't..." I opened my mouth, but didn't know what to say.

I felt like I had fallen into a huge trap. Everything around me became blurry, as if an invisible net was tightly binding me, making it hard for me to breathe.

"Is there anything else to say?" The Potassium Beastmaster's cold voice rang out again, as if pronouncing my death sentence.

I... I opened my mouth, but my throat felt blocked, and I couldn't make a sound.

Is the evidence conclusive?

This so-called evidence is clearly fabricated!

But I was speechless; in this cold interrogation room, my explanations seemed so pale and powerless.

Just then, the interrogation room door was pushed open, and the Scandium Beastmaster strode in.

He walked straight up to the Beastmaster and said firmly, "I trust Brother Nong Yu's character; he wouldn't do such a thing."

I glanced gratefully at the Scandium Beast Tamer, a warm feeling welling up inside me.

In this chilling despair, his trust was like a beacon, illuminating the last glimmer of hope in my heart.

However, the Potassium Beastmaster sneered dismissively: "Believe? What makes you think you can believe him? The evidence is right here, how could it be false?"

As he spoke, he threw the photos back onto the table.

What do these photos prove?

The Scandium Beastmaster retorted without backing down, "Perhaps it's just a coincidence, or perhaps someone is deliberately framing him. No one should be easily convicted without solid evidence."

A flash of anger crossed the Potassium Beastmaster's eyes. He pulled a document from his pocket and slammed it on the table: "This is the record of Nong Yu's meeting with the suspicious person. It's in black and white. Do you still want to deny it?"

I quickly picked up the document and examined it carefully, my face turning ashen.

The record is incredibly detailed, including the time, place, and people involved; it even records the content of our conversation in great detail.

If I hadn't experienced it firsthand, I would almost believe that I had actually been in contact with the instigators.

However, I clearly remember that I never saw the "suspicious person" in the record, let alone had any conversation with him.

This record is clearly forged!

My heart sank to the bottom. I knew someone was deliberately framing me, but how could I prove my innocence?

Just then, the interrogation room door was pushed open again, and Su Yao appeared in the doorway.

Her sharp eyes scanned the room, finally settling on me.

"Nong Yu, are you alright?" She asked with a hint of worry as she quickly walked to my side.

I shook my head, my heart filled with bitterness.

I don't want her to worry, but given the current situation, I really don't know how to explain it.

Su Yao turned to look at the Potassium Beast Tamer and asked in an icy tone, "Senior Potassium, what gives you the right to arrest him? What evidence do you have?"

The Potassium Beastmaster pointed to the documents and photos on the table and sneered, "The evidence is right here. See for yourself."

Su Yao picked up the documents and photos and examined them carefully, her brows furrowed.

After a moment, she raised her head and stared sharply at the Potassium Beastmaster: "This evidence is all fabricated."

"What did you say?" The beast tamer's expression changed.

"I said, all this evidence is fabricated!" Su Yao repeated, emphasizing each word. "I will investigate this matter thoroughly and clear Nong Yu's name."

As she spoke, she took my hand and turned to leave the interrogation room.

"Halt!" the Beastmaster roared. "What do you think you're doing? Trying to flee from justice?"

Su Yao stopped and gave him a cold look: "We are not fleeing from justice, but going to find real evidence."

After she finished speaking, she grabbed me and walked out of the interrogation room without looking back.

The Scandium Beast Tamer followed closely behind. Before leaving, he gave the Potassium Beast Tamer a meaningful look and said, "I believe the truth will soon come to light."

As I stepped out of the Alliance headquarters, I took a deep breath, and the oppressive feeling finally eased a little.

"Where are we going now?" I asked Su Yao.

A glint of light flashed in Su Yao's eyes: "Go to that trading place..."
