"Yun'er..." A soft call sounded from behind her, and Geng Miaowan, who was half-squatting, froze completely. The voice was somewhat familiar, almost identical to Luan Hao's, except that Luan Hao's was clearer and more melodious, while this voice was deeper and more resonant.

Her intuition told her that the person standing behind her was Haotian, and although she didn't know the Yun'er he was calling out, she had a feeling that the person might be herself.

She had no idea when he appeared behind her, but then she realized that with his cultivation level being several levels higher than hers, it would be incredibly easy for him to get close to her without her noticing.

Geng Miaowan bit her lower lip, unsure of how to react.

"Yun'er?" The voice was even closer, almost whispering in her ear.

The unfamiliar scent brushing against her neck almost made her jump. After bumping her head against Haotian's chin, she quickly took a step forward before turning back to look at him.

Haotian remained unchanged, wearing his large black cloak, most of his face hidden under the hood. However, due to the impact, his head tilted back, causing the hood to pull back slightly, revealing his wild, beast-like crimson eyes.

But at that moment, a spark she couldn't understand flickered in his crimson eyes. If you ignored the color of his eyes, he looked almost exactly like Luan Hao.

Geng Miaowan stared blankly at him. The last time she saw him was three hundred years ago during the invasion of the Green Mountain Sect. Back then, he still seemed somewhat naive. But today, he had completely lost that youthful arrogance, instead exuding a sense of maturity and depth, and his entire body radiated a powerful aura that startled her.

She couldn't possibly have missed such a powerful aura; the only explanation is that he deliberately concealed it earlier. Why? Was it just to scare her? When she jumped, she didn't believe he couldn't dodge, yet he still let her bump into him…

Thinking back to the fleeting amusement in his eyes earlier, Geng Miaowan couldn't help but think that this demon leader was truly rather boring.

Haotian extended his long, slender, pale fingers and gently stroked his chin, which she had bumped into. His gaze, however, was fixed on Geng Miaowan, who was a few steps away, as if he were touching not his own chin, but hers, smooth and delicate one. He asked calmly, "What are you looking for?"

Geng Miaowan glanced around and noticed a large hall with its doors wide open in the distance. She had unknowingly wandered there. No wonder he had run into her.

She glanced towards the main hall a few more times, but did not see Qiu Pi.

"I wasn't looking for anything," she denied without thinking. Only after answering did she realize her mistake, but her hasty denial made it seem suspicious.

However, Haotian seemed completely oblivious to the insincerity in her words. He was about to say something when his eyes suddenly darted around as if he had sensed something. He quickly walked to Geng Miaowan's side and said, "If that's the case, let's go back."

Before Geng Miaowan could react, he wrapped his long arm around her and they both vanished into thin air.

At the same time, right where Haotian had just stood, a figure suddenly appeared. Ice-blue eyes swept across the now empty area with a look of confusion, anxiety and unease, but even more so, a resolute determination.

"Wan'er, wait for me!" He murmured to himself, and soon his figure disappeared from the spot.

Geng Miaowan didn't expect Haotian to leave so suddenly, without giving her any time to react. By the time she thought of breaking free from his embrace, they had already returned to the room where she had been at the beginning.

Slightly annoyed, she retreated to a distance of five or six steps from Haotian, straightening her clothes. Seriously, what kind of awful clothes are these? How could anyone like wearing something like this? Even the slightest movement exposes a huge expanse of skin; it's practically unwearable!

When she finally managed to straighten her clothes, she looked up and found Haotian staring at her with a half-smile, clearly having witnessed the whole scene of her straightening her clothes.

The thought of how he had seen so much of her body made Geng Miaowan's face flush red.

She turned her head away, avoiding his somewhat mocking gaze. In her heart, however, she thought that Haotian was completely different now than he had been three hundred years ago. Although he still occasionally exuded a cold aura, at this moment, when facing her, he even showed a hint of humanity.

Geng Miaowan knew this idea was absurd, but she genuinely believed that Haotian before her was a demon with a complete soul. If Luan Hao hadn't told her this himself, she would never have been able to imagine that hundreds of years ago he was just a mindless shell.

Thinking of this, she couldn't help but think of Luan Hao again, and her eyes dimmed. Now that he was missing, and she didn't know where to look for him, she had a feeling that something bad was going to happen.

"What are you thinking about?" Haotian appeared in front of her again at some point, only a step away from her.

She instinctively took a few steps back before saying, "No... I wasn't thinking anything."

His crimson eyes stared at her noncommittally for a while, and just when she thought he would continue to ask questions, a slight smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

It must be said that this face is truly blessed by nature, stunningly beautiful and incomparably handsome.

Although Geng Miaowan had known Luan Hao for some time, she rarely saw him smile. Hao Tian and Luan Hao looked exactly alike, and looking at Hao Tian's smiling face, she couldn't help but think that if Luan Hao smiled, he would definitely be more handsome than him.

Thinking this, she couldn't help but chuckle self-deprecatingly, realizing she had time to think about such trivial matters at a time like this. Right now, she should quickly find out the situation of the demons in Haotian's camp and leave this place as soon as possible.

No one knows when the woman named Yun'er will return to the palace. As for Luan Hao, she will certainly continue her search.

"Yun'er, Yun'er..."

Haotian's shout pulled Geng Miaowan back to reality. She looked up and saw him standing right in front of her again, bending slightly to meet her gaze. Geng Miaowan was furious. Did he really have to speak so close to her?!

But she couldn't lash out at him, so she could only sullenly walk to the other side of the room and sit down in a chair. (To be continued.)
