He finished speaking in a serious tone and then withdrew his hand.

Xu Ruwen and Huangfu Aoxuan exchanged a glance, wondering what this guy was up to. Just now, he looked like he wanted to devour them, how did he suddenly change like this...?

The sudden change in demeanor stunned them both for a moment, but they quickly recovered, pulling Geng Miaowan closer to themselves and moving her out of Qiu Pi's reach. Huangfu Aoxuan even stepped slightly in front of her, not intending to let him get any closer.

Qiu Pi didn't intend to take another step closer. He simply stood there and said apologetically, "It's all because of my negligence that you got hurt. When we get back to the hotel, I'll have someone bring you the best medicine so that you won't have any scars on your hands." He knew that women were very concerned about their skin, especially the skin that was exposed. "I have something to do now, so I have to go first."

He seemed to be in a hurry. After saying that, he nodded to them and turned to leave quickly.

Xu Ruwen snorted coldly at his retreating figure, clearly disliking him. Huangfu Aoxuan's face, however, remained expressionless, his faint smile making it impossible to discern his thoughts. Geng Miaowan, however, knew that this guy was definitely not thinking anything; usually, the more enigmatic his smile, the more it indicated that his mind was as blank as a sheet of paper.

After Qiu Pi left, the three of them didn't linger and left as well.

No one noticed that right where Geng Miaowan had been thrown, a small, razor-like object had been hit by the impact and slammed against the wall, where it was stopped by a discarded garbage bag. The razor-like object was stained with her bright red blood.

Shortly after returning to the hotel, there was a knock on Geng Miaowan's door. The hotel's room service robot, Aya, opened the door as instructed.

Hearing footsteps entering, Geng Miaowan looked up and saw Qiu Pi. He had changed into a dark blue suit, which accentuated his already perfect physique, making him appear even taller and more slender.

With a beautiful face and a great figure, she looks good in anything.

"What's wrong? Is there something on my face?" Seeing her staring at him for a long time, Qiu Pi couldn't help but ask.

Geng Miaowan showed no embarrassment or awkwardness at being caught staring at someone; in fact, she was quite frank and open, saying, "No, I just think you look really cool dressed like this today."

Qiu Pi had heard praise for himself before, but this was the first time he had heard such a direct and simple compliment. Her gaze, devoid of any ulterior motive, suddenly stirred something within him. Something flashed in his eyes, but thankfully it was hidden by his glasses; to the person opposite him, it was nothing more than a cold, gleaming glass.

“Thank you! But I hope I can speak first next time,” he continued as Geng Miaowan pondered the meaning of those words. “You look beautiful today too; pink suits your style perfectly.”

Geng Miaowan felt a little embarrassed after being praised like that and turned her eyes away.

"Honeyed words, treacherous heart." Completely ignored, Huangfu Aoxuan and Xu Ruwen simultaneously spoke in their minds, each going about their own business.

Geng Miaowan ignored them and gestured for Qiu Pi to sit on the sofa next to her. "I wonder what brings Qiu Pi to me first?"

"Oh, I've brought you your medicine." He waved the bag in his hand and handed it to her.

She took the bag, which contained a bottle of medicine. "We can have the customer service robot deliver this."

"That won't do. It's clearly my fault that you got hurt." As he spoke, he took the medicine from her hand, opened the bottle, and held out a hand to her. "This is our company's latest product. Just spray it lightly on the wound, and it will quickly scab over and heal."

Geng Miaowan stared at his outstretched hand for a long while, puzzled, before realizing that he might be planning to apply the medicine for her himself...

"I can handle this kind of rough work." Qiu Pi felt something flash before his eyes, and his hand was already empty. He casually withdrew his empty hand.

Xu Ruwen took the medicine and sat down next to Geng Miaowan, pulling up her arm, rolling up her sleeve, and untying the handkerchief Qiu Pi had tied around her neck that morning. The not-so-deep wound immediately became visible; the blood had already congealed, covered by a milky-white, semi-transparent membrane.

With a hissing sound, a white mist sprayed onto her wound.

His movements were swift and fluid. Geng Miaowan only had time to let out an "Ah!" before she could stop him. In her mind, she said, "You bastard, you sprayed this stuff on my wound without even looking at it."

Xu Ruwen: "..."

However, her fears did not come true. She saw that the skin on her elbow healed at a speed visible to the naked eye shortly after the medicine was sprayed on her hand.

"This medicine is really effective, thank you."

Geng Miaowan thanked Qiu Pi, who politely replied, "You're welcome, it's what I should do."

"By the way, Mr. Qiu, I'd like to ask, what is the Silver Alliance? Why did you attack someone who possesses a Silver Alliance badge?" She then remembered the Silver Alliance badge in her pocket.

Qiu Pi paused for a moment, a complex emotion flashing across his face, looking somewhat hesitant. Seeing this, Geng Miaowan quickly said, "I'm sorry, if it's inconvenient for you to say, just pretend I didn't ask."

His smile quickly returned, and he leaned back slightly on the large sofa, one hand casually resting on the armrest, making him appear much more relaxed. "Actually, it's not a secret."

His tone remained relaxed, yet it inexplicably made Geng Miaowan sit up straight. She had a feeling that what he was about to say would be anything but simple. Don't ask her how she knew; it was just a gut feeling.

Qiu Pi's gaze fell on an unknown place, as if something there was drawing him in. He cleared his throat and began to speak, word by word. His voice was soft and gentle, melodious and captivating. (To be continued.)
