The afterglow of the setting sun shone through layers of clouds, casting its light on the quiet and familiar country lane.

Young villager Amin dragged his weary body, his steps heavy and slow, as if each step was a farewell to the wild night behind him. The commotion of last night, the clinking of glasses, and those ambiguous whispers seemed to linger in his ears.

As he stepped into the village, the tranquil atmosphere was instantly replaced by an ominous, heavy feeling. Old Li's eyes were wide open, as if staring at something, but there was no longer any life in them, only eternal darkness. Amin's heart clenched painfully, as if struck a heavy blow, and tears streamed down his face. He rushed to Old Li's side, sobbing and calling out, "Dad... what's wrong, Dad? Wake up!"

There was no response, only endless silence.
