I really am a fortune teller

Chapter 53 The Little Girl Who Sells Information

If you haven't been in the underworld for a long time, you won't even be able to find the door to the black market. Jiang Hanyi had obviously been in this underworld before, and the fact that he found the legendary black market so easily really surprised Wei Chen.

It was clear that Wei Chen was very puzzled, so Jiang Hanyi explained to him, "I've been here before. As doctors, we often treat some big shots in the martial arts world, so we naturally know some secrets."

Wei Chen smiled and asked, "Are there any secrets about this town?"

“Of course there are.” Jiang Hanyi smiled and said, “Every city has its own legends, especially small towns like this, where there are many experts.”

Wei Chen immediately pictured a hidden monk in his mind. Looking at Jiang Hanyi, he asked curiously, "These masters usually live in seclusion in small towns or villages. I wonder why?"

“No money, that’s why.” Jiang Hanyi gave an answer that made Wei Chen both laugh and cry. He continued, “Actually, there’s nothing wrong with that. These experts are usually eccentric and can’t make it in society. Even with their high skills, they can only earn money in small towns. Some of them aren’t very skilled, and those tomb raiders like to explore the outskirts of towns because that’s where they find the ancient tombs they like.”

That makes sense now.

The two went down into the cellar. At the bottom of the cellar was a counter made of black marble. A pretty little girl sat on the counter. She looked to be about ten years old. She had two pigtails with bows in her hair. She was pretty and cute, and her eyes darted around, staring at everyone who came in.

Upon seeing Jiang Hanyi, the little girl smiled, revealing two small tiger teeth: "Doctor, I'm so glad to see you again. I thought you weren't planning on coming."

Jiang Hanyi smiled and took out the Cloth Bag Monk's card. The little girl readily took out a POS machine from the side. Jiang Hanyi swiped the card and then held out his hand.

The little girl smiled, took out a large basket from under the counter, took out two beautiful flowers from the basket, and handed them to Jiang Hanyi.

Jiang Hanyi patted the little girl's head: "You're all alone today, where's your sister?"

"She's resting," the little girl said with a grin. "Are you buying information today?"

It turns out that this little girl was actually a black market information dealer.

This is not something an ordinary person can do.

I don't know how such a young girl could have such abilities.

Wei Chen looked at the little girl curiously. The little girl turned to look at Wei Chen and said, "I've never seen this person before. Where did he come from?"

"If you want to ask me for information, you'll have to exchange it for an equal amount," Jiang Hanyi said with a sly smile, like an old fox.

The young girl shook her head in annoyance: "You're really trying to scam me. No way! There's nothing in this world I don't know..." As she spoke, she jumped down from the counter and landed right in front of Wei Chen. She looked him up and down before saying casually, "Judging from your appearance, you must be a fortune teller, right? Am I right?"

Wei Chen nodded subconsciously.

However, Wei Chen still fell for his professional instincts. He looked the little girl up and down. The little girl had a rich and noble face with a full forehead, and she looked like she was a very lucky person.

However, he noticed that the little girl's marital palace was faintly glowing.

The young girl looked at Wei Chen with a smile: "Tell me your information, and I'll give you something in return, okay?"

"What are the benefits?" Wei Chen asked the little girl with great interest.

Jiang Hanyi chimed in from the side, "You'd better be careful, this girl is cunning."

"Exchange information for equivalent information." A smile appeared on the little girl's face.

"I have another piece of information. I wonder what kind of information you would use to exchange for it?" Wei Chen said with a smile, looking at the little girl. "I can tell from your face."

"I don't believe in fortune telling at all," the little girl said, shaking her head in annoyance. "You can go now."

Jiang Hanyi looked at the little girl: "Are there any good divination tools like copper coins and tortoise shells on the market right now?"

"This costs money." The young girl looked at Jiang Hanyi: "This is also information."

"The usual." Jiang Hanyi took out the card and smiled helplessly.

The little girl suddenly turned her head and looked at Wei Chen, saying, "What is it that you said you could tell from my face?"

Curiosity really does kill you.

This little girl is no exception.

Since they specialize in buying and selling information, their curiosity and gossip are definitely no less than those of others.

Therefore, the only way to deal with this kind of person is to exchange information for even more novel information.

Wei Chen smiled and said, "You're about to meet your soulmate."

“Every fortune teller says this to me, but none of them can give a specific date. If you can give me a specific date today, I will give you big news.” The little girl was not surprised at all.

Wei Chen wasn't surprised. After all, there were countless people involved in the black market, and this young girl, specializing in information trading, would naturally encounter many like-minded individuals. These people, in order to obtain information, would certainly consult fortune tellers. And what are fortune tellers best at? Fortune telling, of course!

“Others may not be able to give a specific time, but I can,” Wei Chen said with a smile. “I wonder just how good your information is.”

"News about the Immortal Palace." The little girl glanced at Jiang Hanyi, then at Wei Chen, and uttered these words in a low voice.

Wei Chen was completely bewildered.

But Jiang Hanyi's eyes lit up.

Before Wei Chen could speak, Jiang Hanyi pulled him aside.

Jiang Hanyi whispered to Wei Chen, "How confident are you really?"

Wei Chen smiled and said, "100%."

Nonsense, with the system in hand, I have the world at my fingertips.

Jiang Hanyi said nervously, "Don't make up a date to fool that girl. She has a lot of influence. If she sets her sights on you, it will be a fight to the death. Your father can't protect you, and neither can the Wei family."

"Don't worry, when have I ever fought a battle I wasn't confident about?" Wei Chen smiled, looking genuinely confident.

Jiang Hanyi then turned around, looked at the little girl, and said, "We agree."

But a smile appeared on the little girl's face: "But I need to do a test before that."

Wei Chen nodded: "I agree to the test."

A crowd had gathered around the black doorway, all curious about who this person was who dared to gamble against the black market's little princess.

The test the little girl was referring to was about things from the past.
