I found a secluded corner and hid, afraid of being discovered by the humans. I was no exception and quickly hid next to the white mouse.

But something very puzzling happened. We waited for several minutes, but there was still no sound, not even a sound of someone searching for us.

At this point, I became curious. I could accept being chased and having my belongings ransacked, but what did this quietness mean?
