"!" Li Kai couldn't help but exclaim in admiration.

"Huh? What are you saying?!" The girl trembled upon hearing the praise, her face turning bright red, and the blade in her hand involuntarily cut Li Kai's skin.

"Hey, calm down, the knife's still at my neck, be careful!" Li Kai said nervously, his neck almost being cut off.

"Hmph, you scum are better off dead!" The girl snorted coldly, her expression returning to its previous icy demeanor.

"Is it back to normal? But you were cuter before!" Li Kai said disappointedly.

"Stop talking nonsense and tell me how you did it before?"

"They just kissed him directly, what else is there to do?" Li Kai asked curiously.

"Pfft!" The sharp blade moved closer, and blood slowly oozed out.

"Impossible! I would never agree to be a pervert like that!" The girl tried her best to deny what she was seeing, but the feelings in her heart told her that it was all real!

"That strange kid really likes being with me!" Li Kai said, pointing to the knife in the girl's hand with dissatisfaction.

"That's not up to you!" The snow-white blade was once again pressed against his neck. Why did it always turn out like this?

"Those who insult my innocence shall be killed without mercy!" the girl said coldly.

"Gulp!" Li Kai's throat bobbed, and just as he was about to say something, a blinding golden light flashed in his eyes, and a flippant, casual voice rang in the girl's ears, "Are you sure you can do it?"

"Who says I can't get down?" Hearing Li Kai's words, the girl trembled uncontrollably. The blade was pressed tightly against his throat. If she took another step forward, she would probably die.

"Hehe, your heart has already betrayed you." Li Kai chuckled and shook his head, then moved forward unmoved.

"Oh? Is this your true feeling?" With each step Li Kai took forward, the girl took a step back, the blade always pressed against him but never cutting him.

“This child has betrayed you!” Li Kai said, gently pressing the tip of his knife against his skin and shaking his head slightly.

"Clang!" Upon hearing Li Kai's words, the weapon that the girl was tightly gripping flew out and then quietly landed to the side.

"No way, not today—"

"Ah~~!" the girl exclaimed, as a strong masculine aura wafted over her.

"You've fallen into my hands again!" Li Kai inhaled the fragrance of her hair, looking at the beauty in his arms with great interest.

"Let me go! Otherwise I won't..." The girl felt her body go limp, and she couldn't muster any strength. She felt powerless against the guy in front of her.

"What else? You're the fish on the chopping block now, and I'm the butcher!" Li Kai's large hand quietly roamed over the girl's delicate body, while his face drew closer and closer.

"Ugh!!" The girl tensed up, staring at the face that was about to be kissed. Was she about to be forcibly kissed again? Should she slap him now? But she couldn't move!

"Haha, of course that's impossible!" Li Kai laughed loudly, then released the girl's body.

"You're really easy to fool, aren't you, Ruoxue?"

"Huh? How do you know my name?!" The girl exclaimed in shock upon hearing the familiar words. It had been so long since she had heard this familiar yet unfamiliar name.

"Of course you told me, but don't forget what you carry with you." Li Kai was holding a green jade pendant with pure white feathers carved on it, which read "If it were snow, it would be like snow."

"How did it end up in your hands? When exactly did it happen?" The girl first touched her neck, then frantically tried to snatch it back, but the next words completely disrupted her thoughts.

"In the northern mountains dwell swallows, their feathers like snow. The north wind howls mournfully, yet they fly south wing to wing. If one wing is broken, what can be done? The north wind howls fiercely, yet they will never part." Li Kai softly recited, finally gazing at the stunned girl, "Yu Ruoxue? A name that suits her perfectly!"

The girl, who couldn't utter a single word, pressed her red lips tightly together. How did the person in front of her know the meaning of her name?

"Although I don't know what you've been through, if you can, you can confide in me. Even if you don't understand, I can still understand." Li Kai stretched out his arms and gently put his arms around Yu Ruoxue's shoulders, holding her in his arms. It was warm but without any hint of romance.
