My Apocalypse: Infinite Rewinds

"Thud!" The sound of a sharp blade easily slicing through flesh grew clearer as Li Kai approached. What kind of person was he? He was truly looking forward to it! With mixed feelings, Li Kai walked forward.

"The last one!" A clear, ethereal voice, like a solitary orchid in a secluded valley, rang out in the silent clearing, neither sad nor happy, unmoved! However, judging from the tone, it seemed...

"Phew, we've finally arrived. Now let me see your true face!" Li Kai wiped the sweat from his forehead, slowly raised his head to look ahead, and exclaimed in surprise, "So beautiful!"

In the afterglow of the setting sun, golden light spread across the earth, and petals danced and swirled in the air. The boy stood there, stunned, while the girl gently brushed back her hair, which was fluttering in the wind. Their eyes met, and their first encounter began!

"How is this possible? How can there be such a person in reality?! It was already unbelievable enough that there was only Xiaoxue, but now..." Li Kai stammered, staring at the girl in front of him in the sunset, feeling as if she had stepped out of a poem or painting. And so, he walked forward stiffly, step by step.

"Hmm?" The girl turned her head away, her cold eyes sweeping over the boy who was approaching her, and the blood-dripping katana slowly rose upwards.

"Um, hello, I'm— *splat*!" Just as Li Kai was about to introduce himself, he stared in astonishment at his pierced heart. What was this thing?! Was he going to die again?!

"One of the zombies misjudged its senses!" the girl whispered, frowning, as she slowly pulled the katana from its heart.

"I was just saying hello, is it really necessary!" Filled with deep resentment, Li Kai collapsed weakly to the ground. His life force had been completely drained by just one blow. There was definitely something wrong with that knife!

But why did I die again?!

"Damn it, I'm so unlucky! To get killed just for saying hello, I'm probably the first person to ever do that. And what exactly makes me look like a zombie? I absolutely cannot compromise on that!" Li Kai clenched his fists angrily. Even if she were a dreamlike, beautiful girl, he absolutely could not tolerate this!

"I have to find her and have a good talk with her!" With that thought in mind, Li Kai rushed to the place, but the timing seemed a bit off!

"Roar!" The zombies all over the place stared blankly at the unexpected guest in front of them. Food delivered to their doorstep, why not eat it!

"Gulp!" Li Kai finally swallowed the heart that had jumped into his throat, then waved his hand helplessly, "Just give me a quick death, I'm in a hurry for my next trip!"

"Pfft!" The horde of zombies instantly engulfed him, leaving not a trace behind. Tsk tsk, that feels so exhilarating!

"Why don't you try it yourself!" Li Kai opened his eyes irritably. He had died for nothing! Was there any way to die more gruesome than being dismembered?

"Is it dusk? It looks like we'll have to wait a while!" Li Kai looked at the sun in the sky; now was not the time to set off!

"Forget it, let's continue preparing food." Reluctantly, Li Kai returned to his much-anticipated scavenging time. He didn't feel that way at all!

"Phew, this timeframe should be about right. This time, I won't let you get away with it so easily!" Li Kai gripped the dagger that had been with him for a long time and returned to the previous spot once more.

The girl calmly surveyed her surroundings, describing what could indeed be called a blood-red feast.

"Hello, classmate, I am—Damn it, here we go again!" Li Kai was just about to greet her when the girl in front of him suddenly lunged at him. Luckily, he was prepared!

"Hey, can you let me explain? I'm not a zombie!" Li Kai struggled to defend against the girl's attacks. He looked so weak, so why was he so strong?

"A talking zombie? A strange aura. How many humans did you kill to gain your current intelligence!" The girl felt disgusted by the smell emanating from Li Kai, her loathing evident.

"Why won't you listen to explanations, woman! I really did—"

"Shut up, shut up! You abominable monster!!!" Hearing Li Kai's explanation, the girl's aura became even more terrifying, and the shadows of her waving swords became so dense that they were almost invisible.

"You won't listen to advice! How can anyone—cough cough!!" Li Kai was careless, and the dagger in his hand was knocked away. Then, the black phantom suddenly pierced through his lung.

"It's all over!" the girl said slowly, leaning close to Li Kai's side.

"Why can't you listen to human language, you little brat!" Before dying, Li Kai tilted his head and pressed it against the girl's ear, angrily sticking out his tongue to bite her ear. Because the force was a little light, the scene was somewhat erotic!

That's bullshit! I'm dead! Who cares about that kind of thing anymore!

I am Li Kai. What I thought would be a romantic encounter turned into a disaster. Am I destined for this? No, I will never give up! (P.S.: Were those people who just died really human? The girl looked at the corpses on the ground with suspicion.)
